    You're videos are by far the best on RUclips. I usually watch Atleast 3 of your videos before I go to sleep. I spray paint on planes but I've never owned a setup of my own and this week I think I'm finally going to buy my own spray gun, your videos helped me make that decision a ton, I've learned so much. Hope you don't stop making these videos.

    I am amazed by the technique. Even when you tape it, I can see the way you look at the work structure. The camera moves (with your eyes) and covers nicely the surface... as we see it again when you spray. Good focus and discipline. Very organic! Thanks for sharing your talents!

    love the attention to the seam sealer in this video, and the emphasis you put on good prep work in all the videos. I prepped for a while and painted, its all a system it all needs to be done right.

    Dear Gunny,
    You is a pro, firstly, and secondly you are passing on your wealth of experience to us nube's and pros's alike.
    You obviously love what you do? You take your time to provide excellent vid's, that to takes dedication.
    Don't feel you gotta keep banging vid's out, you cover most aspects of your profession in the body of work already on your channels. You can now pick and choose the projects you want, you can comment or not. You have the control man.
    I am an enthusiast and am into cars and all aspects of working on them, from engines, bodywork, paint etc. You have given me the enthusiasm to approach doing the bodywork and painting for myself. I am slowly collecting tools to complete a car project of my own.
    Guy's like you inspire and motivate! You are out there now and people know you, the circle is going to get bigger.
    Chill and do what YOU want, people like to see a pro work, and sometimes they like some info to.
    I appreciate every vid you have done that I have watched, so cheers buddy. I to am not looking for any friends, and like you have not even a handful I trust etc!
    So Brother, get out there and shit some paint!

    A good thing to remember and always be cautious of when you're taping the plastic to your back masking tape, is to tape as close as you can to the panel covering up as much exposed sticky side of the back mask tape as you can. When you are wiping down the panel with wax and grease remover you can inadvertently wipe over the sticky side of the tape and drag in onto the panel without knowing it and cause issues. So i always try stay as close to the panel, covering up as much exposed sticky side of tape as i can.

    • @TheGunmanChannel

    Gunman top job and profressional work everytime :) but i have a question as i can see the Ford has a new door.
    I had a new rear door put on my 2016 Camry however it doesnt line up with the front door completly, why is that, is the door non genuine Toyota becasue ive watched Toyota late modle cars being made and like production cars they make doors, bonnets etc, so during production they make extra doors etc for when they are needed like for eg when my car needed a new door, so why can a new car come with doors that all line up with each other and the car yet when you have an accident and need a door replaced it doesnt ?
    Thanks

  • @alexr4968
    @alexr4968 7 лет назад +8

    Seeing those silicone spots on that door had me remember a story a friend of mine told me. So apparently the Ford dealership here in the states had problems with fisheye on almost every vehicle. They thought the painter was not cleaning the vehicles properly so they observed him and he was indeed cleaning them correctly. They kept calling the booth manufacturer and they eventually came out to look at the booth and they claimed nothing was wrong. Anyways one day the main painter called out sick and they had no problems with fisheye that day. After some time they eventually found out that the main painter wore "Axe" deodorant that contains silicone and when the painter would sweat it would release into the air...

      I had intermittent fish eyes one time over a few months, maybe on two vehicles, once a month, Turns out the Car delivery vehicles where unloading cars and left the truck running to close to the booth intake. Felt like killing someone, glad I discovered the problem after I went out for a smoke after a Viper complete was effected and I went out side to cry.

    Gunny I think I know why this vid blew up the way it did. Your name is the gunman, and you published it on inauguration day here in the states. Allot of people were half expecting a George soros funded sjw or blm false flag of sorts during the innaguration of our first real president in ages. You know. Half our country is asleep and has deeply embedded entitlement issues, so they can't bear the thought of having to work for a living. Anyway, that's my theory. Keep up the great work, and PLEASE keep the vids coming. Your vids and knowledge have helped me hone in my skills and make me thousands of dollars in side jobs. Thank u so much. I was just wondering what's the reason why you didn't paint the front door all the way with colour? is this something to do with blending it in? why wouldn't you go all the way to the end? your videos are a great way to learn while listening to your explanation! glad I found you channel! thanks!

    • @paintbydenn
      @paintbydenn 7 лет назад +2

      Fernando Mendes that's a good question. I am also very curious about the answer if it's possible to go slower with less fluid and get the same good results (3 or 3 1/2 turns on the fluid).

    • @TheGunmanChannel
      @TheGunmanChannel  7 лет назад +3

      Yes Fernando and Dennis, that's correct, I personally like to spray fast but if I want to slow down or even if the weather is colder I will wind the fluid in, I have even sprayed the pro lite at 2.5 turns out before in winter and get good results.

    hey gunman nice job!!!
    btw how can i achieve steady compressor air to my gun? basically avoiding the ups and downs. thanks

    • @TheGunmanChannel
      @TheGunmanChannel  7 лет назад +2

      Try adjusting from a wall mounted diaphragm regulator, leave the air valve on the gun full or near it, then get the right pressure from the wall regulator. I usually set mine at 70psi at the wall because I need some air for my airfed respirator. The diaphragm regulator will stop any more pressure coming in so when the compressor is rebuilding pressure the valve is stopping you from having high spikes, then lows.
