omg when did my baby grow up so fast? Kwak Dongyeon really has a bright future ahead of him. He can act in a variety of genres and do it amazingly! I'm happy that he's getting well-deserved recognition. The story is good and I like how it takes a jab on SK's education system. Everything just seems absurd to me but it probably happens in real life.

Kwak Dongyeon deserves an award for this masterpiece of small film Avici. Like most of the time I was loss for words at the plotline as the movie progressed, but I just loved his character more and more, omg lol....the murder mystery & suspense was so great. I felt so bad for Seonwoo mom in the cynical web she got herself entangled in after killing that man tho...but I could watch this movie over & over for days. It was a good thing she will turn herself in at the end.

Ko bo gyeol brought me here but.... I love the story on how its plot twist on how it goes.... and a father wants a best future to her daughter and a mother wants a good future to his son And the lesson i learned is "no parent cannot tolerate the child"👍🏻

She would have been labeled a murderer and it would not have mattered what he did on a test. The shoe guy didn’t have enough money for the daughter to do great on the test. So he was willing to have the label hoping she would leave the country. The mom in part killed him to avoid the cheating scandal he and his wife had dirt on her for. In real life the Last Korean President ended up in prison all come to light because of academic dishonesty of her speechwriter’s/shadow president’s daughter. Academic fraud, illegal admission, cheating are all serious to an outsider almost more serious than any other crime. The daughter not only got kicked out of college, but they also took her high school diploma and it landed the heir of Samsung and President at the time and her mom in prison for pity sakes.
I was so disappointed when yugyeong choose to abandon his father by not turning the true criminals to the police. I can understand the sacrifice made by her father. As a parent yugyeong's father can do anything for the future of his daughter. But when yugyeong finally took control by holding to the shoe she suppose to send to the police instead of using the true criminal for money etc. Yeah of course education at prestige schools are important especially in Korea, but for me, family is far more important. Maybe my culture made me like this, It's okay to be in regular schools as long as i always have my family by my side. Btw, this story reflected the scary education system's impact, the mindset of the riches vs the poors, the stereotype towards criminal's daughter, the "we can do anything as long as we can reach the goals" mindset, and the way the riches raise their children (without love, pay others to spend time with their children) in our community nowadays. These are sad reality. I reflected a lot from this drama special. Congrats KBS for producing this kind of drama. :)
Her father was already arrested and that kind of stays with a person. It was he who hatched the plan of being responsible. It doesn’t seem in dramas anyway self defense ever works and the victim ends up in prison even if we to protect themselves. As the child of a murderer she really doesn’t have a future anyway. They are trying to make it illegal to ask about family in hiring and other matters but I don’t think it’s a reality yet.

for those who are confused: KBS usually make drama specials that are kinda like short stories, meaning they either have 1 ep only or at most 8 eps. If there's a 2nd ep, they will usually put "ep 1" in the title but since it's not there, I'm assuming that there's not going to be a 2nd ep. Drama specials with more than 1 ep are dramas like Sirius, White Christmas, etc.
No ep. 1, or "see you next time" at the end. Then again. I could totally go into denial and say, I didn't see a "thank you for watching" at the end. So there must be at least one more. lol The drama junkie in me. Reality is, I agree with you. I think that's it. :( :)

Considering the circumstances the mother would not be punished since it was self defense against rape. And they would all be better of if they simply helped each other without the lies. Blackmail is a crime by any measurements.
They would have found the tape of the academic dishonesty and ruined her son. I don’t think people get off for self Defence, at least in drama land. Academic dishonesty would have lost her kids their placement in schools, perhaps their diploma.
This was intense but some things made no sense realistically. Why did the traffic cop pull her over to begin with: she wasn't speeding. Why didn't he look in the car to see that she had blood all over her? Why didn't the cops scour the accused killer's office and home thoroughly for their investigation? Ever since the silent movie days films have portrayed cops as stupid (i.e. the Keystone Kops). I guess not much has changed since those long ago days.
So this is how Korean school and students be like, I'm sure not all of them are like this but they really are scary. Leaving your parents like that is very wrong.

Am I the only who didn’t find what the son did wrong? Honestly speaking telling the truth in cases like this where people volunteer to go to prison instead of the real criminal doesn’t help anyone. The father went to prison to protect his daughter’s future and the son is trying to protect his future by making sure the evidence isn’t found. What’s wrong with that? The father willingly went to prison, it was his choice and the way I see it, the son is trying to uphold the deal made at the crime scene as this is best for everyone involved. The daughter graduates at a prestigious school just like the father wanted and so does the son. Everyone is happy expect for the mother who’s guilt ridden and as the end of the movie shows, she’ll probably confess. However by this point everyone has reached their goal. Good movie.
The police car would be behind. The officer would notice the blood and if someone went in the glovebox without being told to they would arouse suspicion and the officer thinking they were getting a weapon would pull out their own gun.
