- Synopsis : Insa Yoon is a poor substitute elementary school music teacher. Her life seems to be going nowhere. Her students look down on her and her contract for the next year is unlikely to be renewed, if she's not fired first. Zero O is a piano repairman who lives with his uncle and mentally ill father. He turns out to be an extremely talented, self-taught piano player, but he doesn't let other people listen to him play. When Insa discovers his talent, remembering her lost opportunity to become a professional pianist, she tries to find a good music teacher for him and in time they fall in love. Will their love blossom?

Several years ago I stumbled onto this captivating little drama after first joining RUclips. I became a fan of Choi Minho before it's closing credits and remain so to this day. Without him I wouldn't have ever known Shinee Onew, Junghyun, Kibum or Taemin. Through them I experienced much joy and even great sadness and learned to love then through it all. Minho also entroduced me to Korean Drama and K-Pop too. There are so many names and groups and actors dramas and comedies I've grown to love not only from Korea but through out Asia. It would have never happened but for this little gem and the person of Choi Minho.
I so love this. Minho’s acting. So raw and moving.
How many times I watch this once in a while I don’t remember. I will always return to this movie. This started my Shawol journey.

M back at this drama special again. Cause of this I searched for more movies/drama of the Actor Choi Minho cause I liked his acting and discovers that there was none (at that time), cause he is in fact a Dancer and a Singer, under a group called SHINee. Now I am a Shawol.

This was so beautiful. I have watched Minho in other dramas and he has never disappointed me with his acting. A lot of times I see persons criticising idols who act and want to say it’s because they are idols but they have no acting talent and most of the actors I ended up liking I found out they are idols after researching them and this is what happened with Minho and now I can’t get enough of him and SHINee. I was searching for something warm and emotional with Minho as the lead and I found this and it was really worth the watch. I did not expect that type of ending but I loved it, it left me smiling. I plan to watch all his dramas and movies while I patiently wait for his new drama “The Fabulous”

I can't believe Minho pulled off such a role when he was barely 19! My baby is talented indeed. And I forbid anyone to say “don't smile” to him for his smile is everything! His smile should be declared a national asset bcoz his smile has the power to heal anyone!! ❤️ I don't know why although I have never even seen him in reality I feel like he is someone very close to me. I do sound like a silly teenager, it is absurd to say that I love him but I can't help it! 😭
i love this drama .simple ,brilliant but nuanced with a bit of a mysterious but positive ending .minho is quite talented for a first time drama .

I watched this maybe 3 years ago. I didn’t know Minho was a KPOP idol but his acting really touched me. His face and eyes are very expressive. This year, I watched Hwarang and he was also good playing the role of a love struck youth. He Is really good. I wish him more success should he decide to pursue acting after the idol days are over.

Woaaahh... i remember... IT WAS ALL THANKS TO THIS DRAMA..
I saw this movie back when I did not know about SHINee yet... when I my classmate would force me to check on SHINee.. and when I would confuse one person as the other when watching their vids..
I loved the actor's (SHINee's Minho) acting.. the pianist... and he "looked" like someone from SHINee... so I searched for more of his works... I thought he was a full blown actor... alas did not find any....
That was when I found out that in fact he was a singer.. and he's in fact from SHINee... and then I STARTED WATcHING THEIR VIDS... VOLUNTARILY... SAW SHINee's HELLO BABY... FELL IN LOVE WITH ALL OF THEM... and the rest is history...

Taemin was my bias in SHINee but after watching Hello Baby where SHINee appas played a great job in raising Baby Yoogeun, Minho is now my bias. I love him so much more after watching Go Dream Team and this drama. Great job Minho. God bless!

Great ending, no need to explain about how they would met. She's still kept a ring with her necklace, that meant she still had his heart. How sweet, I could see the image of a happy ending :)

I really wanted to see his facial expression after seeing her with that necklace. I love ending which opens the door for imaginations. But Choi Min Ho did a great job expressing him with fewer dialogue. It really got me when he asked her, "if its not love, then what is it?" That expression is priceless.

@@sonkianh7627 Me too, The ending is what you want to make of it. For me, it indicates that fate, by the chance meeting at the shop in the last scene, means they are to and will be together (she still had his ring around her neck). Happy ever after 👌❤
I've watched it several times since June 2019. I've already posted my own comments just 12 hours ago.
Seems the only issue holding her back from a stronger relationship was the age difference...nine years. She got over the doctor boyfriend, then perhaps she was ready to overlook the age difference later. I did enjoy seeing them, at the end, back in the store for exactly the same purpose as when they first encountered each other...cigarettes and stockings. Perhaps, this time, it included a lasting love. Clearly something happened in there. They were in there a while...didn't come out.
Glad you mentioned the ring. I actually missed seeing the ring still around her neck.

I really really like the ending. Its like an open-ended question. In a way, you can fill it with so many possible answer of your own. Its not ambitious... This is the kind of ending I really like.

Like mother and son. Their age difference is 7 years only in real life.
The movie (in my opinion, at least) is about 'right person, wrong time'. There are a myriad of circumstances preventing them from moving forward, and honestly besides the whole Jero trying to start a fight thing, I feel the movie was paced very well.
She was at a crossroads in her life, where she had no real answers for anything. She'd basically failed in every endeavor she'd undertaken (as she explains with the 'what am I now' speech to Jero on the bridge), her relationship was in shambles, and when she finally did what she thought was the right thing (letting Jero down because she had someone) her BF did the one thing she'd been waiting for: Proposed.
The proposal scene to me is one of the strongest scenes in the movie. The dude that played the BF crushed it imo. That feeling of wanton arrogance that the woman in front of him was his, no matter the games he played with her. Her giving off the impression of uneasy tension, capped with him just BAM the ring and that half assed proposal. That moment is when she realized that literally her entire life had been a failure.
Horrible teacher, horrible pianist, fraudulent fake relationship. The one thing that she had truly succeeded in: Jero, is the one thing she'd thrown to the side on her path to seek the life she thought she was supposed to have. She breaks down in a moment she couldn't even articulate as it all washes over her and she realizes for the first time in her life that the most important person in her life is the one she's likely never to see again.
'Right person, wrong time'. But fate doesn't accept that, so it sets them up to be the 'right person, right time'. She'd finally moved on from her failures. Succeeding as a piano teacher after rekindling her love of them. No longer tethered by a loveless relationship or the need to seek approval from someone else. She finally had self-confidence and the ability to self validate.
Meanwhile, Jero finally has a sense of purpose. A reason to exist beyond existing. She threw him away earlier in the movie because she was wrong, but Jero _was_ a child. He leaned on her for all the wrong reasons. Now he can finally stand on his own two feet. Smile for himself. Love what he does for himself. Share that with the world. Now is the right time for the right people to meet.
Sorry for the rant, just my 2c on the movie.

A very touching movie. There's a lot of chemistry between the main actor and the actress. It made me think about my first love. The main actress is very lovely and her acting was superb. I enjoyed this movie very much.

I wonder if they ever actually told each other their actual ages. She clearly believes him to be younger than 25 by the way she smiled after he first hesitates and then tells her he is 25. After the kiss, they confess to each other they are not 25 and 26, but do they reveal their actual ages? I wonder if the English subtitle left that out? I suppose only someone who understands Korean would know that.

Wow! Did a little research of Han Ji-hye. She was first a model. Beautiful! And, even though she wore very minimal and modest make-up to portray a poor music/piano teacher, her natural beauty still shown through. And her beautiful smile that can capture the attention of everyone where ever she goes. And, she is also a truly fine actress.

the ending can be interpreted two ways - she has the piano, her school and probably minho, he got accepted to be a pianist, and he has matured. The uncle is telling him not to go to the shop, she leaves a Dr. you can say they are already together - or remeet. Its for the viewer to interpret in most of these short dramas. I really liked this one and I cant get into all of them.
I usually don't prefer such endings as they make me feel anxious afterwards for many days.... but when I watched the ending I felt a bit satisfied as the hope of having a happy ending was possible since the drama ended in a somehow happy music tone
