Only those in the know knew how different the pure was musically compared to clubs like the Calton 9c Victoria street before liquid rooms back in the day. The pure at the venue was the ultimate techno underground crowd and the Calton was more mainstream and although good not a patch on the pure at the venue. I remember the 1993 one at the Barrowlands with Derek May Lenny Dee & Jeff Mills with the man Ege bam yasi. What a great night that was and a lineup only the pure was bringing those DJs to Scotland before that like Richie Hawtin etc. well before the Rezerection started booking them to play before it went tits up after 93. Years 90 to 93 was the best times. ✌️🕊️✌️
