@santiagorlt7940 for me yes, everythjng except re zero. And its not that i came into it biased, it used to be my favourite anime when I was a teen. Just some maturation and growth made me fall out of love with it and. Cant stand it anymore

Tanya's Rifle is a Mondragon 1908, this rifle was used in WW1 also it has its own dedicated Anti-Aircraft Sights, but it was meant to be used by Pilots and Co-Pilots for Planes this was before dedicated Machine Guns would be mounted onto Aircraft for actual combat use as the rifle basically sucked when it was used in the ground and in the trenches cause of the open bolt design
a detail of note as well is that the Mondragon 1908 was a Mexican design that the German empire bought and fielded during WW1, and it was primarily used by the Luftstreitkräfte. But in the Manga all Imperial mages use Gewehr 43 as their standard issued rifle with optics and Bayonets, while on ocassion when missions dicatated the need for additional fire power mages used fictional but plausible modified MG 34s.
In addition the Imperial Naval mages used Gustloff Volkssturmgewehrs which in real life were a late war last ditch version of the STG 44 used by the Volkssturm in 1944-1945
After the air explosion Tanya was telling the attacking ground forces to surrender since she had wiped out their air cover.
Finally more people watching tanya the evil. This anime is one of the greats.

One thing i really love about Ep1 is how it seamlessly introduces the concept of flying Mages in modern warfare. The scene where she makes that shield and saves a soldier is a marvel of german efficiency
The sound effects on this one are crazy
A lot of the explosions and crackles are really crushed and distorted. Very cool
I'm surprised that they know so much about WW1/WW2 and the European context. I mean, That would be expected from Europeans since this is learnt in history classes at school, but after seeing so many Americans react to this anime and being lost, I was supposing it was like us (Europeans) not being very well educated about the American history.
We enjoy history. Though our knowledge is spotty.
I love how their initial reaction was "oh WW2" but then they saw the trincheras and went "nope, WW1".

I read some of the novels and they're even better. A great expolration on what "evil" means. Especially during times of war. The details of the battles and what the soldiers do to themselves is realistic with what soldiers went through during this era in the real world. The soldiers use magic like drugs, pumping up there adrenaline and dopamine and dulling pain for battle. Pushing themselves far harder than any "ordinary soldier" and suffering physically as a result. Tanya included

I love Viktoriya. Her and Tanya are like good and evil, but both have influence over each other lol. One of the only lower ranks than Tanya who can get her to change her mind.
I think the aspect of historical fiction-type shows is always fun. With the MC being an anti-hero.

This series doesn't spoon feed you it's lore, but it does give you hints at the bigger picture. It also doesn't tell you everything; possibly to get you to buy the manga or light novels.

finally one of my favs anime, the reaction on this anime i have seen are always golden, how can u not have an awesome reaction of a cutely devious nazi loli
"Nazi loli" rhymes and has a jaunty cadence, so I can honestly understand why the term keeps popping up when talking about Tanya; it's simply fun to say. It rolls off the tongue. But of course, for anyone reading this who isn't familiar, Tanya isn't a nazi. The show doesn't have anything to do with them (different world, different time period, different politics, etc.).

Be aware that this anime made a lot of changes in regards to how events happened, the character designs, and the reason behind the characters actions.
Even the title was slightly altered.
This is a mix of WW1&2 with a flare of magic included for flavour.

Well, that depends on what you can do with it, and how common it is. My understanding from this series is that it is not that common....so changing the entire war waging paradigm might be overkill. New tactics based solely upon mages would help you win where mages were employed, but are useless when all you have are standard troops.

Just as in WW1 with the introduction of Aircraft for warfare in Tanya Mages are a new asset in warfare. Tanya herself over the series brings a lot of innovation to how Mages are used from initially mainly as artillery spotters and counter spotters to as the series progresses some are almost Special Forces (best shown in her own 203rd Mage Company)

in the manga the bayonets are like extremely lethal, they can imbue it with magic and can pierce literally anything...
spoiler:
in the manga they have magical arm blades(like what vegito can do in dragon ball), i think they excluded that in the anime because its out of theme...
but i get it and theyre mages, so if you run out of bullets(bullets here are amplified by magic so yeah they still need bullets to fire) and your bayonet is broken then they need some sort of melee weapons like that magic blade...
I wouldn't think of it as WW1 or WW2 its a mix basically
this anime is about being a victim of your own success.
it's more alike to a good o'l greek tragedy of man vs destiny, and falling on your own hubris
Tanya is the personification of suffering from success, with a huge emphasis on "suffering" lmao. She's way too efficient for her own good.

I think this episode pictures battle for Verdun from 1916, 300 days of fighting. 100km squerd area to this day is closed off, and detoxifying and demining it may take another 700 years.

if you love tanya there is another anime with the witch and an alternative world war in europe "izetta the last witch" which is the same type only less brutal i recommend it but it's a good anime

One of the few lolis in anime who is a loli!
This series has a very realist mindset. It makes fun of patriotism and moral idealism in this world war where the soldiers killing, dying, and fighting for their beliefs have no impact on if the war actually ends.
Honestly it goes so deep into satire and philosophy in general that its hard to tell what the authors actual message is. Still a fun time though.

In the first season, the authors spit on humanism, in the second, even on the elementary logic and balance of their universe.
Its alternate universe's version of WW1 with magic There was no such thing as aryans or Nazis during WWI. This anime's universe and world building doesn't have anything remotely close to representing Nazism but people keep thinking the main character is a loli nazi. Other channels referenced the main character as a nazi loli so the anime gets bad rep for it, when it's a great story about a wannabe god who reincarnates a person in another world for not believing in gods.

i would say that the zettouff or yeah and his friend reaction in the anime about tanya being a kid is so disappointing -10/10. they made it look like a kid her age being in a military espiecally a nicknamed soldier is normal. even though she is literally the youngest inlisted soldier (an 11 year old).
i mean they stated that the manga and aniem would be different but come on bruh. ima put this anime in a garbage.
