Actually, there are faster trains in Tunisia than the EMU train you talked about (i.e. speed). To make it clear, that EMU serves the suburban only, and not meant to do long-distance lines. There are other diesel locomotives that can reach 130km/h in a meter gauge (e.g. EMD GT-18B), which is a good thing worldwide, and 140km/h (e.g. DP Bombardier MXS624) in a standard gauge. In overall, good amount of information tho.
