Hi Peter, from the video title, I assumed the leak was in the hull, I'm glad that is not the case. From looking at the video, it looks as though that boarded up hatch is a catch point for water. Hopefully your repair will solve the problem. Nice job for a quick temporary fix, Dawn should be pleased with that. If you are brave afterwards, you can give the fix the acid test and pour a few buckets of water in that area to check for leaks. One suggestion: with all that sanding dust, it wouldn't hurt to wear an N95 dust mask. The sinuses are a lot more sensitive during in cold weather. All in all, great job, all those years of improvising really pays off!
I enjoy watching your videos. You're very practically minded and always find a good solution to any problems. Keep safe and well both of you. Keep dry and warm. Look forward to seeing your next video. Thank you.
When you said at about 3:38 "I probably explained that really badly" Peter, the swans clearly agreed with you as they floated off immediately you said it !! 😎😱
We haven’t been doing anything on the boat (work wise) for a bit - so no videos. BUT last week I was off work so was able to crack on and film TWO vlogs. Just need to get them edited etc…. 👍
@@WingingItBoatingonaBudget Oh this is brill news. Need to see you guys back on the boat. Absolutely love the pair of you you’re so down to earth. Look forward to watching again xxx
I'm a little bit amazed. You live on an island (one of the few that has as much water above as at the sides) and yet, you always have to take care of leaks. Why isn't the boats build waterproof from the beginning? 😁
Hi peter, for future jobs I'd tuck my hoody strings in out of the way of rotating power tools. Good job anyway. ps, did you ever sharpen the saw you reconditioned quite a while ago ? , Did I miss something or what ?. Best wishes to you both, Russell.
Had to say not happy with the cost of a toilet that you have to empty every couple of days and the 700 pounds for a fridge that is half the size of a normal one what type of fridge do you use please
It’s been 6 months without a video hope you’re both ok
Hey guys. Are you both ok? Not seen anymore since the electric bike!! Was there an accident!!!? Joan

Thanks 👍
Glad you sorted it out. Fantastic job, seeing as it is temporarily there, better than a lot of permanent fixes take care, keep up the great work. XXX
Thankyou. 😀
Well Peter, for a quick repair that was a first class job, well done. Brownie points from Dawn coming up!
Thankyou! I was hoping Dawn would cook me steak and eggs fir supper that day... but instead I got a bag of crisps! 🤣
@@WingingItBoatingonaBudget Oh dear, that’s a let down! Maybe she’ll take you out for a bar meal and a couple of beers at the weekend😁
Good fix and glad it wasn’t the windows
Thank you!
Great to see some master bodging. I mean that in the kindest sense Pete. Nice to see you surfing on RUclips again.
Indeed! A 'bodge' that will get us through the winter until the fibreglass and epoxy comes out. 😀
You made that look so easy 😁
Thankyou!
Quickly done hope it gets you through the winter
Fingers crossed. Thankyou.

🤣🤣🤣 The swans are only interested when I'm feeding them!
👍 Thought it was going to be an infomercial for Flex Seal
If it leaks more it will be a infomercial for buying a LARGE tarpaulin and covering the whole boat with it! 🤣
I just got into watching yr vids and then they’ve stopped. Hope you’re both ok 🤗

The coat of paint was a good call. Made it look was better.
Yes, it was a bit of a slapdash coat if paint but worthe the few minutes it took.

hi have you next year thought about having the hull sand blasted less time hiring of dry dock would save you money towards the blasting

Water tight now?
Whose side of the bed had the wet patch? LOL
Fortunately it was in the middle! 🤣🤣🤣

We have a normal 'household' 240v fridge - run through an inverter.
Painting is dangerous, no hi vis vest, no safety helmet, mask or goggles either, HSE will be writing to you................
No doubt you will tell them to four cobs!
