This was a good match and closely contested. Impressive quick toss/throw by Chase in the 2nd period and great at the end when his opponent tried to trip him up and Chase used momentum and a quick move to roll through and gain the advantage, locking up the arm and cradling the neck, putting him in a great position for the takedown, near fall, and pin! Also, I see Chase said he was wrestling with a torn meniscus. Extra impressive what Chase did in this match to tough it out through his injury and pulling off some impressive counters and scoring the pin and the win, showing heart and determination. I'm sure having such a strong will and toughness through adversity will really serve him well throughout his life and give him the confidence which leads to success!
Victor's extremely active wrestling style seemed to have the momentum of a certain victory but in this match Chase countered with a calculating pacifying wrestling style and a down to wire win. Both wrestlers were so active that you who taped this match actually had a few times rare out of focus taping of a match. Like to see these two wrestlers again.
I thought ther red wrestler was doing well when he stayed low and kept hold on the legs. When he let it get up working arms and chest, then it was a throw contest, which is risky. It's beautiful when it pays off, but a good defensive wrestler can counter it well, like you did. Sometimes in folkstyle, it is best to get to basics: Stay low, get the takedown, and work on the mat. Good job, Chase. That's a nice win.
