Bosch CORE 18V batteries have some really cool features built into them and today we are giving you the rundown! Did you know about the features of these Bosch CORE 18V batteries? Or did you learn something new? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below! Хобби
Im a huge Bosch Fan, have just about all the cordless tools and love them all. Being a contractor I put them to the test and never a problem.
Phil Jacob I have the power box radio and a 4.0 battery. Definitely a stout set up.
@@LCCJ82 i have it to and love it
@Lc cj Best job site radio, and we don’t even get the deluxe model (50w sub instead of 20w), with GFCI outlets in N. America because of energy star ratings...
I just got the Bosch cordless oscillating tool and grinder and more 18v core batteries. I also have the bulldog corded sds. Beast for sure. I was using a Milwaukee my buddy has and it's great to but for me to change now I'm in to deep. Lol. Plus Bosch has all the same stuff as Milwaukee does if you look at the inserts with new tools.
@@builtbyme battery adapters man
Awesome Vince, I am glad you picked the Bosch up. I am a fan of Bosch tools. I think your going to have a lot of success with that tool.
I’ve been a serious Milwaukee user for my business. Just bought my first Bosch cordless sander. A tiny 2ah battery last easily 3x longer than my Milwaukee equivalent with a 5ah battery. Very interesting to me.
All my tools are Bosch, not one has ever let me down. Just got the bi turbo 18v chop saw, and got the 18v bi turbo sds on order, that's got 5.8 joules impact energy (or 4.27 ft pounds) they have a 16 A charger that has a power boost button, 50% in about 15 minutes. And the cooling fins do a good job of keeping the battery cool.
Well with a battery like that you have to test some of Boschs new tools in TTR.
Vince bringing big Blue to the table!👍🏻
I’m rocking the first gen GBH18V-26, with two 6.3, with GDE18V-16 for dust extraction (with OSHA certificate in document protector), with rapid charger, in two layers of Kaizen foam (pre-watching your video of how to cut them out so I paid to have them cut out for me 😳) in my LED L-Boxx 3 with old school 2amp powering the LEDs. Compliance in a Boxx!
Love it!!!
Niceeeeee!!!
Ive used the BullDog for years. Just recently went with the Milwaukee M18 Hammer drill (2715-20-48-11-1850), paid about $400 and I love it.
Good vid Vince. It's nice to see Bosch stepping up their game as they should. Now the question remains, how does it perform? Well, I can see a TTR at some point going against the Milwaukee rotary hammer and would be fun to see for sure. Thanks for sharing and cheers to you and the VCG gang!
@William Logan
Bosch doesn’t play the arms race. Their tools are known for endurance on battery life and for their longevity.
If you want to see what will plow through three-quarter inch OSB the fastest then you need to get the DeWalt rear handle saw, the Makita rear handled saw or the Milwaukee fuel 7 1/4, BUT if you’re wondering which one can cut the most linear feet per amp hour (not a really interesting TTR) of that three-quarter inch OSB it’s a 10-year-old brushed model Bosch circular saw.
Food for thought...
@@thetruth5210 I'll be honest when I say that I don't own any cordless Bosch power tools and I do believe you. However, I do own the corded Bosch 10" job site saw and the Bosch Colt hand router and both are excellent quality made tools. I've owned both for almost 8 years now and they have never let me down.
I just rebuilt a v18 battery by Milwaukee with the same battery they use in Bosch. What a difference, it lasts longer and is lighter in weight than the original battery. wish their was enough space in all battery packs for the 7100 series batteries.
It’s nice to see Bosch coming with new innovations! I used to be on the 18v platform but switched over due to everyone else offering more! There corded line are still on job site to this day. Love their miter & table saws as well as their routers! The Bulldog is a beast along with their other rotary offerings. Might have to take another look at some Bosch!
I made a lot of money with my bulldog. I bought it used 30$. Still going strong after 10 years
Awesome !!
TTR THAT WITH MILWAUKEE M18 ROTARY HAMMER DRILL FUEL PLEASE @VCG Construction
Yes, I would love to see Bosch compete in some TTR, either with Milwaukee or Dewalt.
Hi Vince, new subscriber here.
I like your vlog coz you are showing a video of what you are explaining so i understand more. Plus, you give real experience on how you use it in your trade. Then, you compared the your new bulldog which you said is better even running on just the procore battery. Definitely, I'm going to buy now the Procore. Thanks Maestro👏 and with that Statue and Bell at the end, it sealed the deal💪
The core line of batteries are very impressive I have a few of them
Wow I am so proud that the Bosch batteries are made in my home country, Malaysia. Yup I fully support Bosch Product!. Thumbs up.
I'm in process of switching from m18 to all Bosch core/procore batteries due to it's compactness(still better than M18 new 21700 cells battery packs)
Adapters are more hard to get , but all are available
Hey Vince, what are the differences between the 1inch bulldog sds with he shock absorber in the handle other than it looking to be more compact and having the ability to attach and run the boach concrete dust vacuum off the same battery
Looking forward to the test
Bosch also got a new supercharger (GAL 18V-160 C Professional ), at least where I live in Norway, that charges an 12 Ah Pro Core battery to 80% capacity in 36 minutes and fully charged in 55 minutes. I guess that's eliminates the use of a multi-charger where you can charge several batteries at the same time, or does it? What do you think?
@@Zozo806 the new Bosch charger works on all Bosch blue 18v batteries
I love Bosch, still have my original core 18v tools and they have never gave me issues… my batteries also last a long time longer than my buddys batteries
Thanks Vince!
👍 thx for the info
Honestly, Core batteries are the best on the market by far. Nothing really compares.
@fancy As huge Bosch fan, Metabo?
@@thetruth5210 I've only used the Metabo hpt tools and batteries, not the actual Metabo. I'm comparing the readily available brands.
@fancy Metabo was first to market with the new Panasonic/Tesla cells “LiHD”, and on top of that they have partnered with five other German tool manufacturers to all run off the same battery platform including Mafell (Best woodworking hand tools in the world). It’s kinda amazing! IMHO
@@thetruth5210 I'm sure you're right.
@@thetruth5210 I wish Mafell made a table saw👍
Vince,
Whaaaat!!! The milwaukee m18 hand held hammer / drill couldn't do it back then. It would be cool if you can go back now with the new milwaukee M18 hand held hammer / drill and see what it can do. That will be a fun video to watch, LOL...
Ok, now i see TTR video - bosch vs milwaukee first, then against dewalt.
have to get AVE on this tool and battery.
bosch even with old generation nicdm / nimh batteries used aluminum spacers between the cells ... which absorbed the cell temperature ... bosch in many ways is advanced mainly due to their seniority and experience in the tool industry ... research ... German industry ...
Can you make a video about Makita SJS (Super Joint System) system?
Team red here. It’s true Bosch has the best batteries and alongside with hilti the best sds hammers on the market.
Would like to hear more about the safe work
Hey great vid! Just had a quick question, I’ve seen some Bosch 18v batteries for sale and some of them have “BiTurbo” on them, do those batteries provide more performance than the core batteries?
BiTurbo is the combination of ProCore batteries and brushless tools that can use the extra power these batteries provide. There are no BiTurbo batteries, only BiTurbo cordless tools that can make optimal use of the extra power that ProCore batteries provide.
Need to see that corded vs cordless TTR!
Bosch Rotary Hammers 😍
@TheDurbinCompound 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yeah, do a video about safes!
I don't understand why in Milwaukee or a few other brands that claim to be a good brand but did not build batteries with cooling characteristics ... batteries with ventilation slots for ventilation and chargers with fan although it is not something new ...
as an improvement it would be possible to put a micro fan directly on the battery that will automatically come into action when the battery heats up ... in a few minutes due to the continuous air circulation even of a micro fan the effect would be incredibly effective
Bosch is the ling the ne profactor line has changed the game. My brushless bosxh set is beast but im slowly upgrading to bosch peofactor and giving my old brushless to my dad
Bosch Hammers are unequaled.
Thank you! Does the Core battery work with Bosch Green 18v tools? And can you charge it the "not core" charging station? Been trying to google this for a while :)
Hi Kurt. The Bosch pro batteries in the 18v series does not fit the green diy series. Just tested it today with an ahs55-20 hedge cutter. No fit! EVEN THOUGH Bosch told me it would. 😂
@@briansnorrason98 Oki good to know! :) Thank you Brian!
Very good 👌
nice job
Sold all my Core Bosch made the switch to...you guessed it.. Mil-A-walkae. The only thing I miss is the 3/4 sds drill. Bandsaw= horrendous. Freak impact = frustrating. Drill = meh. The batteries are the best. Charger is good to. I was working in 20*F weather. Between bosch, makita, and Milwaukee my bosch was the first to charge @ around 30*F. But maaan, that bandsaw and freak impact were unforgiving!
This rotary hammer is nice! The battery is really compact too
Nice video Vince
I got the 6.3 ah core battery it's sweet and the core 4.0 ah
@Thomas Carroll
I’m in the process of replacing my batteries in my EC brushless tools with CORE the 4s in drill and impact L-Boxxs
Nice Thomas!
@@thetruth5210 you will not be disappointed on the performance of power that these batteries give to your tools even the old ones that are pre core first generation brushless
@@VCGConstruction awesome video bro
Awesome Bosch like love the batteries and most the tools bit overpriced tho
We can all thank the vaping industry for introducing the tool companies to the power of 18650 batteries.
Tool companies started using them first... And I would say Tesla would be more of a influencer... And these aren't 18650 cells.
@@rolojunk syonyk.blogspot.com/2016/09/dewalt-20v-max-30ah-battery-pack.html
Here is where it shows 18650's in the pack itself. The vaping industry started using high draw 18650 batteries 2 years before the new battery designs came into play with the tool companies. Tesla had nothing to do with it in any way shape or form.
@@jacobeaston7807 The vaping industry accelerated development of high current 18650's. Tesla initiated development of 21700 cells.
@vcg construction hey vince do you know anything about the all black packout boxes??
That's overseas I've seen them online and RUclips videos they did that over there because of Hilti being red they did not want to confuse the consumers the same thing with DeWalt tools with 20 volt Max they have to brand it 18 volt over there hope that helps I wouldn't mind having the black Milwaukee packout here they look really nice
you can buy them in europe only....the UK sells alot of them...i heard its like $200 just to ship them to USA
@kingofthecrease30
$200 sounds cheep! I’ve imported 2 L-Boxxs one from Scotland (LED L-Boxx 2) and one from New Zealand (LED L-Boxx 3) I’m probably over that figure already. As an electrician I work in places before there is light so I justify it, it is also way convenient! The most expensive was importing my Spax L-Boxx from Germany heavy box of screws I almost forgot. The cheapest was my L-Boxx med kit. So yah I’m way over $200 probably pushing $400...
Want a Wego L-Boxx but the only place I can find them is in Romania, don’t know if I’m comfortable importing from Romania.
thats why no one try to compare bosch with other tools. but most people think bosch is out of the rank, actually bosch at the TOP that no one knows which rank it is
It would be better if they did not show off, but would install a regular protection board with cell voltage balancing. There are too many show-offs now, but one way or another, without a balancing board, two cans in such an assembly will die ahead of time. And it will require complex repairs, disassembly, replacement of cells, welding of copper sheets.... Programmed obsolescence
Interesting
Put Bosch up against Dewalt in a TTR. Maybe a hammerdrill?
I'm more interested in their claim of 100% comparability.
What other brands does it plug into?
They have started an alliance, but what they mean with '100% compatibility', is that all Bosch 18V tools (incl. the old ones) are compatible with the ProCore batteries.
When is the giveaway going to be told who won it
How much $$$ for battery???
I know where your coming from on that one.. i just destroyed my ridgid cordless hammer drill on some 60 year old concrete tore the chuck all to hell. just bought the big corded bosch sds rotary hammer and have no regrets. some hammer drills should not be be allowed to be called a hammer drill. what a joke.
Yeet
Hi
Hi Peyton!
2023 USA BOSCH CORE STILL BEST PRO BATTERY OUTHRR NOW - CNTR CITY PHILLY HANDYMAN 40yrz 🛠🇺🇸⚡️⚡️🗽
Bosch has very modest and almost lame model names...except for Americans, they only buy it if it's called "BULLDDOG XTREME" xD
Can Bosch explain why BOTH my 8ah batteries died after just 3 years? I paid a lot of money to use them on my Bosch angle grinder with moderate use and no abuse, and now they are dead!! Shame on you Bosch i am never going to buy another tool from you.
Wow I’m early
Looks like these batteries may have these crap cells in them: LC-21700-LS40.
No, they use Samsung INR21700-40T cells, providing 35A sustained and 45A sustained when temperature controlled in a 4Ah cell. This isn' crap by any measure.
So annoying
