@@Random_Geek_J Again. It's amped by Joker's observation/cognition. He doesn't need it to be real. That's been elaborated on in both Persona and the Mainline games.

The more you look into the fight the more silly it gets. Both are taken by surprise, but both are also bluffing. Joker HAS a melee weapon he can use at any time, and Yu is only using one hand while he’s always been a two-handed fighter. It’s evenly matched because nobody is actually giving a damn and are just trying to feel out the situation lmao
Imagine if the P3 protagonist stepped in to fight too, and Joker and Yu just watch him put his gun up to his own head in deep concern and disbelief.
Better yet is both versions of the P3 protagonists just both threatening to pull the trigger while Yu and Joker are just “do you two need therapy or something”

on one hand the skill joker had to keep up with Yu's swings. on the other the balls it took for Yu to keep up his assulat on what he thought was a real gun. gotta love these moments.
Yu *has* fought against a fair few opponents that wield guns primarily, after all.

Well, I'm glad Naoto was sharp enough to notice that Joker was only bluffing and not intending to hurt Yu. To be honest, Chie and Kanji aren't exactly quick to grasp situations or concepts. But man, both Joker and Yu are excellent in close range combat.

@@nefarioulyte9996 Yu is also only using 1 hand. He's a 2-handed fighter so it's clear that he's not taking the fight all that seriously either.
Honestly, considering that both can easily take Hassou Tobi's from each other if you fight a _weaker, fake version_ of Narukami in Persona5 Royal, I think its safe to say that he's on par with Joker in terms of power. Joker could probably shoot Yu and Yu could probably stab Joker and they'd both shake it off and just use a healing skill, lol

To anyone wondering, the objective here was to intimidate the opposing party with the model gun by pointing it straight to their head, but Yu is such a chad that he is able to parry Joker's attempt to point the gun to his head. It's still impressive how Joker is able to hold off against a long two handed sword with just a model gun.
This scene is meant to show how strong these two are to the point of being equally matched.
Ann : Hey, why don't we all chill out for a sec?

While neither were really going at it, Joker does have a dagger that he can take out of nowhere, not that Narukami would die from it since he's difficult to kill.

May sound weird but, I actually muted the audio and just sort of imagined their English Voices speaking the lines. Aside from Femc, I was able to hear their voices perfectly, and it was really nice~

They kinda had to, otherwise they’d have to write 3 different stories with 3 different groups and 3 different main character personalities interacting

Battle of god slayers... needs to be done again in persona 5 arena
I wanted to explain why I find it useless to debate on who was stronger in this fight:
-first none of the two was actually going to hurt the other by their own ammission: Joker was using the gun to scare the opponent while Yu was only going to disarm Joker;
-the weapons used were both fakes: the gus is a replica but made of real metal to look realistic, while Yu sword is probably only for ceremonial pourposes and not for fighting;
-Joker was able to parry the attacks but Yu was intentionally aiming at the gun to disarm;
-in the final attack Joker was able to point the gun to Yu's head but Narukami reacts putting the blade in a position to kill him.
I think this fight shows us that they are perfectly equal, maybe Joker is a bit faster and Yu more physically strong, but other than that all their other stats are equal, as Atlus shows us making them draw.

@@pokemonmaster6016 except the properties of their weapons work differently. The gun is affected by cognition, if Yu calls the bluff the gun is useless, if he believes its real he catches a bullet. His sword on the other hand takes on real sword properties regardless of cognition. So if Joker shows his hand in the slightest thats checkmate. Win Thundercock

Yeah, their characteristics must be close to real ones, so they could use metal for the correct weight. That also explains why the more realistic ones are that much more expensive.
Would it be called parrying if Yu intentionally aiming for the gun and not at Joker?
I mean here's an example, if I hold a pillow for you to punch that doesn't mean that I could block all of your punches with a pillow, you're just not aiming the punches at me but at the pillow.
See now I wanna play this game again but two reasons I can’t/don’t wanna lol

Named p3p’s protagonist ‘Minato’ because pq2 was admittedly my first persona game as I only had Nintendo consoles then I got persona 5 Royal and played it on my brothers PS4 and then I got p4g on my pc and p3p on an emu on my pc so I didn’t really know the female protagonist’s name then, I thought it was the same as the male for some reason
I now have my own PS4 pro that I got on Christmas so imma be playing lots more p5r lmao
Edit: BOIS I HAVE AN UPDATE, ONE OF THE PARTS OF ‘MY 3DS WAS ABSOLUTELY FUCKING DESTROYED’ WAS THE BATTERY. SO I ORDERED A NEW ONE FROM AMAZON AND HAVE CONTINUED ON THIS GAME AND I AM NOW ON HIKARI/DOE’S DUNGEON!

Also Yu's katana wasn't made for the purpose of being used as an actual weapon, it's meant to be art, so it probably isn't of the best quality.
@@eclecticspaghetti yeah, wall hangers are never to be used in combat scenarios due to not being properly hardened so they would shatter after a few hits if they don't shatter at the first hit
