In november 2022, I had a burnout, and then I took cannabis because I thought it would calm the situation in my head, but in fact it created even more chaos in my head, I didn't know who I was, what was happening, I simply disappeared. Afterwards I had suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety and when I closed my eyes I would see vivid pictures of places and people. I stopped working for a year I was taking olanzapine 7.5 mg of medication, after 9 months the psychiatrist stopped the therapy and then suicidal thoughts, depression returned. I am now on 2.5 mg of olanzapine at bedtime and I am stable. I have none of the symptoms. A year and 2 months have already passed. I started working and training again and slowly return to normal life.
btw, a very inspiring story, it helped me a lot. Thank you

Slowly getting off it also helped me getting the ‘excitement’ of life back, but it has to be done gradually. Best of luck forwards, friend, I am confident you’ll make it and will have a plentiful wonderful life a head of you 🙏

I started smoking weed heavily at age 18, I'm 30 now. Looking back, I suffered a very serious psychotic breakdown the summer of 2015, then again this winter, about a month ago. I am over 3 months sober from marijuana and couldn't be more grateful for that. It 100% caused me to suffer very very very very serious mental effects from it. I became extremely conspiratorial as you said you did. It caused me to do things I would have never done, thought, or said, if I had not been using marijuana. I came to the conclusion about 3 years ago that marijuana is an extremely dangerous substance that can cause extremely serious mental problems in individuals. I never ended up in a hospital for it, but am 100% sure I suffered psychosis and multiple psychotic breakdowns during my 11-12 years of marijuana abuse. Funny enough a breakup at 18 with my high school sweetheart is what caused me to turn to marijuana to begin with, I was unable to manage to emotions that came with that situation. Glad I found this video. It confirmed to me that I am not crazy and that the abuse of marijuana was the cause of much of my mental torment I experienced. God bless you bro, here's to a bless and joyful 2023.

Hi Richard, this is a very helpfull and informative video, well done. I had psychosis twice, and the way I got into the first one is very similar to yours, In 2020 during the pandemic I started to smoke weed daily, and in april 2021 I had a mania episode (I discovered I am type 1 bipolar) that lead to a psychosis. And I also was into these spiritual things and meditation so I thought I was enlightened. I wanst hospitalized but the episode was pretty bad. I found out that staying away from cannabis is the best thing for my mental health. Great video and greetings from Brazil.

After 20+ yrs of drinking I recently started to feel like I was going mad. The last couple of years I only drank on the weekends but I didn't realize that the effects were lasting well into the week. I was thinking of seeing a therapist or getting some meds until I decided to just not drink at all for a week. Im only a week sober but I feel myself slipping back into reality. I didn't realize I might have been slipping into an alcohol induced psychosis until today. If your even a mild drinker and feel this way stop drinking because the feeling is absolutely horrible. I can't believe the lens I'm seeing through right now has been absent for years. Awesome video man.
Also, if you feel this way you might not realize it because I graduated college on the deans list, excel in my job, own a house, and have good relationships so I kept telling myself there is no way alcohol is the problem. As of right now, I'm convinced it is. So, its an insidious process is what I'm saying.

Knowledge is power. We are our own best doctors. Never trust a single source of information, always triangulate from unrelated sources. Research everything you feel and notice about yourself. Focus on understanding yourself. Focus on your gnosis, this also requires trusting the self (work on this, too). Your story has only just begun, dude, you have soooooo much more you get to discover, you're going to be a completely different person on the other side of your gnosis. If you have the heart to dive into the self, the level of freedom is phenomenal. Begin by researching quantum sciences, spiritual alchemy, and Shadow Work (Carl Jung) or inner child work. Trust your heart, not your gut, find your true self, find your truth, and the humans you meet, you'll change forever. ❤ Peace.

The key takeaway for me was that other people are how they are and i have to work with them as such. I should not set expectations of others in accordance with what i think is proper.
This idea could probably be broken down in an entire book as there is a lot of nuance to it, but the general idea of orienting myself with the world around me instead of my own mind is powerful.
I've realized this before seeing your video, but there was a time in my life when i did not understand, and i was often miserable because of it.

    • @TheDingsBoms
      @TheDingsBoms  11 месяцев назад

Exactly, great takeaway! In the broader perspective of life every individual has a personal responsibility to relate to other beings and the outer world in general.

I am 24 and have been to the mental ward twice. The first was an incredible experience; the second nearly killed me. The juxtaposition was incredible. Nothing much was different and that was the problem - it was all the same as the first time to the point where it started depressing me.
The first time I went psychotic was when I was off my meds in high school. I was obsessed with 9/11 and a sewerslide pact that every kid at school had made and could be referenced with code words. I thought my librarian teacher was testing me by changing the lesson plans, so I just didn't do anything that class.
Earlier this year I was prescribed Adderall, which was maybe the stupidest thing my doctor ever did. Since it's basically sisters with meth, you can imagine what it did to my mentally ill ass. I went full-blown psychotic, my DID basically exploded, and I was finally admitted to the ward. It was actually great for me as I detoxed and they put me on an antipsychotic which is what my therapy place had never bothered to do, despite being fully aware of my history and traumas.
The second time I had committed an act of self-harm. It wasn't an attempt, but rather a compulsion to get out my extremely painful emotions. This was at the end of July. The ward was exactly the same. God I am glad to be out of there and I don't ever want to go back.
I too have drug-induced psychosis and I'm lucky I didn't get put in there because of all those edibles I took one night, lol. Everyone was very concerned but I got out scot-free with that one. Other times, though.. My dad's called the cops on me 18 times because he doesn't know how to deal with me. However, the ward has also basically fixed my life; he was abusive as hell and finally treats me with basic human respect. That's more than my therapy place has ever done for me! They're gonna hear it.
Thank you for the video. Your script writing is really good and I could relate to you a lot. It's a very vulnerable and probably nerve-wracking to upload a video like this lol, so thanks again. I'll take the advice about the external world and the pillars to heart. No better advice to take than from those who have been where you are, right?
^ That all helped. This feels like an internet checkpoint lmao.
Have a great day + life, hope things stay going well. 💜💙

My pleasure man! That is a serious risk with psychedelics in a state of illegality, where we don’t have any idea what we actually get , especially with LSD and NBOMe, or ‘ecstasy’ which used to be pure MDMA. Doesn’t exactly help with the “set and setting” aspect 😋

Hi Richard! Thank you for this video, I can relate to your story as I am 24 and have been dealing with addiction and my lifestyle very poorly. I started using cannabis last year for 6 months (smoking once per week around 0,5-1 grams at once). It made me lazy, unmotivated, gave me brain fog, but worst of all, it gave me terrible anxiety and overthinking. I constantly caught myself slipping into maddening thought loops, not being able to relax and had some terrible breakdowns and panic attacks. Thankfully, I haven't used any drug for a month, however my anxiety only got worse and worse. I decided to self medicate with very low doses of shrooms which actually really helped face those disturbing thoughts and accept my situation for what it is. The anxiety and thought loops have been reduced but only a week has passed since I last dosed so maybe it is too early to tell if the effect is permanent. I intend on not using any drug other than low doses of mushrooms on rare occasions (once per year maybe less). For now, I can now focus a lot more on my goals and make the best of my life. Hopefully I will not get the nasty anxiety and thought loops back. I will update this comment as time goes on.

«Modus Arbeidstrening» was a place in Norway for younger people who dropped out of high school in order to get some kind of routine, work experience and references for applying for a real job. You would either work at a cafeteria, repair broken electronics, work as a shop clerk or help out at a landfill. I worked with fixing electronics, like old amplifiers, TV’s and speakers, something I already had interest in. 😊

During the months I do it every day taking high doses of edibles, and using 98% thc vap pens. I have also experimented with a few low doses of shrooms and have not experienced any physiological problems. Do you think that a higher dose of mushroom, or lsd could set something of, because I’ve always had a feeling I would have a bad trip and become schizophrenic? I think that if you suspect you might get I’ll from psychedelics, you probably have some bad circumstances for going on heavy trip. I’m not qualified to advice you to do anything, but for me high or small dose didn’t really matter, I couldn’t seem to settle/land again. I would have a question for you and your answer could be very helpful for me to help my son and i making the best decision for his health. My question is: Were you on medication when you got your second and third episode? Were you taking your medication and smoking cannabis and it led you to get hospitalized or you had stop taking your medication and continued smoking weed? Another question without being to indiscret is: Are you still taking medication and do you think it’ s necessary to take it for the rest of your life to stay away from another psychotic episode?

      I’m glad I can help. 😊
I was not on any medication on my second and third episode, I stopped using medication much earlier than recommended.
I am not on any medication now, although it is recommended based on statistics. To me the downside of being ‘down’/‘heavy’ and apathetic from the medicine made it worth getting off of, but it’s a risk one have to seriously consider, and professional advice is probably what one should stick to.
I personally did not, and I’m glad I’m not on any medication, but I’m confident that for me a trigger would be only if I start using substances again, which I don’t do. But I think this is very different from person to person, and I might even be wrong about myself..
Hope there are insights of value here, feel free to ask any more questions, I’m happy to help 😊❤️

That’s an interesting thought! Many studies with psilocybin mushrooms and cancer patients suggest that the experience may alleviate the fear of death. To me this suggests that there is some other-worldly experience being perceived, perhaps the afterlife.
As you said, being there or staying there recreationally might not be helpful to this current material reality, but being aware of its existence might be soothing for an existential crisis.
I personally believe that we are in a temporary state of existence to learn about the wonders of duality, love and hate. Ultimately we will return to the state of omniscient unity consciousness where we realize that we’ve enacted separate roles of ourselves to learn more of ourselves. Fundamentally, we are infinite love. A happy thought, and a great perspective and philosophy on life, whether or not it’s true. 😊❤️

Would you say that people who have experienced Psychosis should not take Psychedelics since their brain are prone to not handle them well?

    • @TheDingsBoms
      @TheDingsBoms  2 месяца назад +1

This is a very good and hard question. I think the number one problem with how people get affected by psychedelics is due to the illegal state it’s in, and therefore at the get go creating a very unfortunate set and setting.
In a set and setting where it is legal, socially accepted, and surrounded by professional medical staff/trip sitters, the possibility of a positive outcome is much higher.
However, I’m not a medical expert, but there seems to be a genetic correlation or simply a personality trait that make some people even more sensitive to these experiences, for better or for worse. In my case, definitely for the worse.
I hope and believe that one day we will reach the point of psychedelic maturity as a society where as many people as possible can benefit from its medicinal properties, but as of today I would advise everyone, especially sensitive people prone to mental illness to stay away from these substances, until we can achieve a proper safe and healing set and setting.

I'll save you a half hour. Psychosis is caused by a few things, number 1, mind reading. You can't mind read. Stop trying. 2, clairvoyance. You can't know the future. Stop trying. 3, trauma. If it happened it happened. Maybe not on purpose. Maybe with zero bad intentions. However, bad things still happen. Sometimes your memories are true no matter how much you deny them. If you want to escape psychosis, start from the assumption that people are GOOD even if you disagree and if you are 100% honest, life will 100% treat you better. Stop lying, stop making up stories unless you're clear it's fiction. Stop believing in things you can never prove or spreading lies about things you've never experienced. Here's a good one, the moon landing! I don't knew if it's ever happened but i can't say it didn't either. I wasn't there. but you might say, all this evidence says it didn't happen. Bull. I agree that some of these unorthodox approaches might be helpful.. One day I’ll give it a shot, still a very controversial topic 😊

@@TheDingsBoms I had all the issues you did until I stop feeding certain things in my body. Something is going on that we do not quite understand. They are doing things to us that is not normal by any means. I would suggest looking into Paul Chek. Psychosis is brought on by many means, but the underlining issues have to do with hormones and also bacteria profiles accordingly. Parasitic infections can be one of the worst issues for those with these issues along with toxicity and the bodies inability to excrete certain caustic chemicals that can totally shift an individual's ability to reach homeostasis accordingly. You combine that with other co-factors, and it seems very daunting to move out of. Autism is on the rise as well, when you can snare individuals by polarizing their cognition they are easily controlled by fear and engulfed in psychosis.
I wish you the best in your journey!!

1:40 in and I cant watch anymore, because of course you are God -everyone is. And everyone is Jesus Christ also in an allegorical sense. Clearly no one is literally Jesus Christ or God because neither can be known, but you are the family of man and they are both concepts of the mind of man. It's the scarcity/lack/wanton mindset of society that makes up all these fake labels and stories of what is mental health and mental illness in otherwise able bodied healthy people. mental illness is a term for those who cannot handle a world of unnaturalness and falseness, what is wrong with that? Unnaturalness and falseness is why religions change, the world changes and lower court laws change so often. Look to see what is changeless in those three things and that is the only reality in the experience- tings like Gods benign healing miraculous love for all, harm no other without a just reason, and respect the natural boundaries and basic human needs of Self and others. Funny how a planet so populated can be so lonely to so many, yet people still believe in mental health and illness. It's really a joke.

Why are you mad? Dudes just trying to help people that are struggling. Just because you aren’t that doesn’t mean other people aren’t. But judging by the unnecessary anger in your comment I doubt that. Get help.
