The very last time I saw this parade in person was on the parades 44th anniversary 6/17/2016 from the hub (btw I witnessed 2 of 5 proposals that same day) the castle provided a perfect background for the parade (& the proposals) This parade is an inspiration to us all 44 years & still glowing. Now there finally going home for the first time in 20 years right on Main Street.
Good thing I wasn't there. I would have been bawling, hanging on to the last patriotic float, screaming 'NOOOO! You CAN"T LEAVE! I'm not ready for this to end!!!' Poor CMs would have to drag me away, kicking and screaming like a toddler. :'(
This is the only Disney Parade that has brought me to tears. It was my first parade I saw in the parks and the score is engraved in my mind. My absolute favorite nighttime parade!! My favorite float had to be Elliot and Pete. They could make the dragon disappear and reappear in an instant, real Disney magic there
hard to believe this was the final performance for Pinocchio's float (damaged in transit back to CA. it had a good 31 year run in the parade though having been to 4 parks
I saw this parade was back in 1972 and again in 1992 when I took my children to it. I've always loved it!! The music is always my "happy dance" music!! What a wonderful production. It will surely be missed greatly!!

There's a new Electrical Parade that Magic Kingdom never had or heard of before. Disneyland had it right after THEIR (can't to italics) Main Street Electrical Parade. The new Electrical Parade is called Paint the Night.

SpectroMagic deserved a proper goodbye like this. It's a shame. I still love MSEP, it's great but now WDW should do something new to do Spectro justice.
Kelly Morris we aren't getting Paint the Night, and there won't be a parade for a while. Our only nighttime entertainment will be Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. I'm going back in February, and this was always one of the things that my family and I did. Definitely devastated to see it leave. 😭😭
Man hate to see it go and now it’s stopped running at DisneyLand as well! ;( ! I have noticed that with Disney in the past like 10 years! Last parade here last parade there! My friend works at Disney. Apparently this whole move is just a temporary loan while they do maintenance on Paint the Night. It'll be back to Florida by the beginning of the summer.
They did have two Main Street Electrical parades, Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Disney Worlds went to France and was replaced by Spectromagic. Some years later, Disneylands parade came her for overhaul in Central Shops and played here a season or two, then went to back to Disney's California Adventure. Eventually came back here and played until this past Oct. Will play in Disneyland starting Jan 20, 2017 and I guess retire before summer 2017, unless they decide to extend it.
