To be honest I don't know why people don't like the new Small World segment. I think it's cute to see little doll replicas of Raya, Mirabel, Miguel and others.
Many dislike it as most of the dolls are POC characters, rather than making them costumed characters like most everyone else in the parade. It makes it seem lazy, avoidant, and "cost effective" seeing as Disney casting directors have a history of casting POC characters to white people and constantly turning down colored actors in auditions.
Honestly, the reason they don't like it is because of HONOUR OF THE AMERICA... The 'America'/ Bacon float was the symbol of the WALT DISNEY franchise to the US... But the float was retooled and remodeling to the origin 'IT'S A SMALL WORLD' float in homage to the original float ran since the beginning of the parade. That's why they dislike it since DISNEY have taken the symbol away
The main, if not only, reason why many people are spiteful about the new ending is due to politics. There's nothing wrong with the new ending. It's my favorite part of the parade and it's beautiful, and music for the last segment is also addicting. However, the new ending has replaced the 'To Honor America' segment and a lot of nationalistically minded people are passionately spiteful because of it. Those people feel that Disney has "betrayed" the country for replacing the patriotic segment with an ending that they feel is "woke" leftist material.
Funny thing, I just finished rewatching the original Pete’s Dragon, and the animation on Elliot seriously holds up. It makes me so happy to see Elliot still in the parade! AW! The Small World float with the newer characters is so CUTE! AAAAH! Bebeh Antonio and Mirabel! 💜💜💜
I love Elliott, too. He’s my favorite dragon. I was thrilled when merch for him was released. Prior to that, if I wanted something Elliott, I had to make it 😂
I wish this would come back to Disney world I last saw it when I was 3 and I still remembered some of it. I was going to go to Disneyland but it’s too far but I’m happy to see the electrical parade is still out there
I love how the updated but kept the magic and nostalgia of the original sounds. The voice at first scared me when he was normal lol Forgot to mention your video editing is awesome! All the different angles and cuts! Great loved it

Love this parade. Saw it when Disney Parks did a RUclips Live of the cast member preview of the parade on Wednesday, April 20. Several members of my family and I first saw this parade in 1972 and have had the opportunity to see it two or three times over the years.

I really like both paint the night and main street electrical Parades they both have a kinetic energy to them main street electrical is for the nostalgia and paint the night is for the new generations and i think they both are awesome
This makes me so happy, though I never saw the Main Street electrical parade, I always loved it. My mother had a cd with its music on it that she’d play in the car when I was a little kid and I loved it so much, I’d always ask her to play it and when she did it always put a big smile on my face.

I believe the small world float is just the old “American Tribute” float re-LEDed and the small world building float behind it is new to tie it in together. Solid repurposing!

Ohh it looks awesome! And I do like how they refurbished some Cars! Like Elliot, he has the Face of the new Dragon from the Recreated Film and the old America Ribbon Parade Car, that is now Its a small World with some of the Disney Characters. Amazingly done!

I really like the Small World float, and I like how it plays a medley of songs from all the different movies of the characters represented on it! I'd have preferred if each of those characters got their own individual floats though... When was the last time there was a Hercules float in a Disney parade?
Sadly, the composer for the original song, passed away in 2016. That man, Jean-Jacques Perrey, basically pioneered electronic music. He composed many amazing tracks and I highly suggest you go and check some of his music out. It is actually impressive what he managed to pull off back in the 60s. If he would've seen this magical remix of the original song, I do not have a doubt he would've been incredibly proud. We miss you dearly, Jean-Jacques. Thank you for such spectacular music you gave us. ❤

The electrical parade was the first one I saw as a kid in the parks, listening to the music brings back those magical memories!!
I love how they used the old music in this. Brings back so much nostalgia
6:50 - 9:00 is just…. The best part. The subtle music change, the walking and dancing of the ball guests, it’s just perfect.
I really like the small world float! My only real criticism is the lack of live performers during that segment.
The original finale did have dancers performing with the float in the To Honor America version.

Okay I started watching this expecting not to tear up, yet I started tearing up when the music started playing lol.
The Small World segment was the perfect addition to this parade! It fits in seamlessly, and the dolls are adorable!
I loved it too but wish they had the old finale still with the eagle.

I remember watching this for the first time with my lounge fly electrical parade bag and i LOVED IT!
Only ever saw it as a teenager back in 1982. I was totally blown away by it. Magical!

This one is so cute, but the 60th anniversary one was perfect, contemporary and way more cool
