I watched this with my Mom: When the projection mapped Main Street Electrical Parade train traversed down the castle then proceeds directly at you and makes a stage left turn in front of the castle....then the drones light up with the train. We both started crying. In that moment I was again the 6 year holding her hand watching the Main Street Electrical Parade at Walt Disney World in 1982.
My goodness this show is a masterpiece. It manages to be the most impressive, creative and cutting edge drone show ever produced while still capturing the magic and nostalgia of the original. Bravo to the creators behind this.
At the end of the small world segment, they showed the map of the world, with the location of the worldwide disney parks, ie anaheim, florida, paris, tokyo, hong kong, shanghai
The parade that started my obsession with Disneyland as a kid. Can you imagine this playing in Anaheim?! People would be giggling and crying at the same time. It is the ultimate MSEP tribute show. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anaheim, get that drone ordinance worked out and bring this home to Disneyland!!!!!!
I would love this in Anaheim, though I wonder how often they’d have to cancel a drone show due to “high winds”
As someone lucky enough to have grown up going to the original Disneyland often, I was absolutely in awe and tearing up just from this video. To see it in person, I probably would've cried the whole time. I lost it when Pete's dragon had actual smoke coming out the nostrils!! I think I was simply overcome with my own nostalgia, the crushing distance from that bygone era of innocence, and the thought of what new childhood wonder must've been instilled in the kids lucky enough to watch this in Paris. A fantastic show, a real credit to everyone involved.
And Walt Disney World! The parade I grew up with on the East Coast.
Glad to see King Leonidas still has a part in the parade.
For Walt Disney World, after more than 10 years without a nighttime parade, I think my jaw would hit the floor if we got something like this!

As somone who watched and grew up with the original Main Street Electrical Parade in Anaheim, this brought tears.
I’m in Tears. The Main Street Electrical Parade now has another Spiritual Successor.
That soundtrack!!!! That's the type of soundtrack I'd love a renewal/rebuild of the Electrical Parade to have! It much better encompasses the feel of the original parade than the newer soundtracks used recently.
The composer Rick McKee is a musical genius.

Dare I say that this is the best thing to come out of WDI in the last 5 years? I know it's just some projections and drones but still. Well done.
Certainly cause it’s not made by WDI. But the Entertainment Team of Disneyland Paris (not related to Imagineering in any way) and an external company called Dronisos (for the drones). In two words, it’s a joint venture between an external drone show company and passionate Frenchmen working for night time shows only in Disneyland Paris
The train! I’ve watched it over and over! Such perfection on the projections! Can’t wait to see this next month when I’m there

That was the most amazing show ive ever seen!! How they incorporated the smoke and firework effects into some drones is insane! Well done, Disney!
maby that drone just caught on fire and luckily it was one where smoke would make sense.
I went to Disneyland last August just to see the Mainstreet Electrical Parade one more time in person. I remember seeing it all my life from a kid to an adult and seeing this now just blows me away. This parade is a dream I never want to end and I hope it can stay that way forever!
Although I prefer the real thing, this is absolutely ground breaking! I can't wait till one day when Disney does a full firework show with drones😊
The reason why they can't do a firework show with drones is cuz of the possibility of shooting the drones down with the fireworks
I think they meant a fireworks show made entirely of drones instead of actual fireworks.

Very nice detail at the end. The world map has white lights where all the Disney parks are located. California, Florida, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo.
This is such a clever move. The drones work perfectly for the Main St Electrical Parade.

This show is incredible. One of my greatest wishes is to see the electrical parade in person. I have never seen her before. And now it comes back as such a masterpiece. I could cry with joy
Voilà Disney, c'est ça qu'on veux ! De la nouveauté, de la prise de risque, du "waouh", la d'accord ! La fluidité des drones + l'ajout des effets pyro (Fumée du train... ), tout en remettant au goût du jour cette musique, sans trop la dénaturer, sachant préserver la "nostalgie" qu'elle inspire... Ca c'est beau :)

I FREAKING LOVE IT. BEST - SHOW - EVER. I had the possibility to watch it live and oh boy it’s a MASTERPIECE. I prefer it much more than the main show with fireworks. Incredible show! I sure wish I could see it in person. I know a lot of work went into this and it is a beautiful piece. Glad Disney is still innovating and pushing the limits of tech while still maintaining the nostalgia and classic Disney feel. This show has it all. The music is my favorite! I want to hear more from Rick McKee!

Imagine intergrating this type of soundtrack for a new and improved eletrical parade. Now that would be amazing. But this, is just the next level. Glad that they paid tribute to this fantastic parade, and gave the Swan Lake unit some attention!

1:20 was a great reveal and sound effects, felt like a kingdom hearts moment....well done Paris hopefully Disney will incorporate some of these effects in other shows...

I’m crying they brought it back in a new form to evolve with technology like the original Main electrical parade was supposed to. The original retired in 1996 I was there the final night and it was the last parade I got to sit beside my grand parents and my god mother's parents to see before all four passed away within only a few years of each other before it retired. I’m literally balling my eyes out. One day hopefully next year or so after I move to Germany I can go and see it myself and have another happy cry. Soo many of my memories tied to this parade and this era of the parts.
For the time being this show is only set to run through the end of September. My guess is it will likely return after the holidays in early 2025, but they might replace it with something else. Only time will tell.
My jaw hit the floor and stayed their. Bravo Disney. Bravo.

So wonderful to see that Disney is entertaining the people of France! Walt's family name actually has French roots - Disney comes from the place in Normandy called Isigney! His ancestors had the name D'Isigney!

DLP is far ahead in night time spectaculars. this is a huge step up from their 30th anniversary drone and that too was amazing to watch.

One of the people involved in the first drone shows here was recently transferred to Florida, so it’s a safe bet they’re looking into this technology for all of their parks.

Wow! This is probably going to come to all the parks. Certainly we are seeing the end of the firework shows. Expensive, not environmentally correct, and can be dangerous. Drones and projections are the future.

This doesn't replace their fireworks show, this is the pre-show to Disney Dreams which runs a few minutes after this.

@@SurvivorQTDisneyland firework shows are only a couple minutes longer than this show was. As for attention, this one seemed to do a pretty good job.
@@sarahwolf6754The show this precedes is easily more than twice as long. DLP can’t do the same level of fireworks as the US parks due to noise pollution agreements with the neighbors. So it’s more projections with firework accents than a traditional fireworks display. I don’t doubt they’ll start incorporating this technology in all the parks, but I’d say it’s a while before any of the parks do away with them altogether. Especially WDW.
