Oh how I will miss this show. I get chills every time I hear that music. One of my favorite things at MK!
My 5-year-old found this on RUclips and watches it over and over. This was my favorite thing at Disney World and I'm so sad we'll never have this experience again. Always got chills and got teary.
Disney is famous for killing and resurrecting things. I have a feeling one day it'll be back, or something like it.

I will miss this so much. It was the only show at wdw where i could NEVER control my tears. Instant sobs every time (even now)

Glad I got to see this in 2016 before it was discontinued. It just made me cry.
I saw it in 2015 on a whim. So many trips to WDW that nobody wanted to wake up on vacation to see. I am so glad that I was able to see it once, cried happy tears. I also miss the Good Morning song. Rarely do I hear the park music anymore over the cacophony of nonsense with the crowds.
Revisiting. I so miss this show. I thank you Dis for always capturing the best so we can relive our memories.
As someone who is to pick the First Family and operate the WDWRR this is one of the most magical things I have ever done for any family! Please pray for all of those magical makers in these troubling times!

It makes me sad that this show is gone. I hope it's only temporary while they refurb the train. Yes, the new show is more operationally-functional, but this show builds the anticipation that guests want (even if they didn't know they wanted it). Please keep the show outside of the train station! That's kind of important when setting the tone for the day.
I've always thought that too. It ruins the reveal of Cinderella Castle. But I think the reason they had to do it is because it started getting too crowded out there and people had nowhere to go. So people would be jam-packed into that area before the park opened, and over the years, attendance has been increasing so much, so I think they had no choice but to allow people onto Main Street and do a show from the Castle. However, they should've planned it better. The new show is terrible.

I always loved the show. I hope one day disney will bring it back. I like it better because it officially opens the park. The new show is at the castle so u are alreadg in the park so its basically just a little morning show. The old show was exciting and fun and i hope one day that my wish of it coming back will come true. It was also on my birthday and my wish was for the show to come back forever. I remember when my brother and i were running for chef mickeys to get to the show and we made it right when the train was coming into the station, and we got to see one of our favorite things at disney.
I'd like to see it brought back too, made the Magic Kingdom more magical. And another 24 hour event please. It was on my WDW bucket list to attend a 24 hour Magic Kingdom day. Now with the park hours and castmember cutbacks, I don't think it will ever happen.
Now that the train is working again…they need to go back to this show! It was the absolute best!

When the train comes around the bend / into the station with the music at crescendo....= Very High Impact!
Train Station Rope drop, much much better as far as visual and where it took place. The new one is fun, but.....this built up the anticipation of getting into the park even more so !! Oh well. Thanks for the Memories Walt !!
I disagree with new rope drop. Not magical at all. In fact Magic Kingdom is so much less magical the past 2 years with the crowds.
The Welcome show made it worthwhile to get up early on vacation. I miss it.
Really wish they could bring this show back somehow, it really is a huge improvement over the current stage "opening" shows
We were "The Family" 4/17/2015. What fun!!!!!
I remember a few years back we were picked as the first family. We received first class treatment and our two daughters got to meet all of the characters. They also had a one on one meeting with Mickey. Then we got to welcome all of the guests. Fond memories.
ntexas100 Our family was chosen roughly a year ago and it was wonderful. Too bad that the new show doesn't include an opening family.
ESpies. Funny thing. For years we would get to MK way before opening just to try to be first family. We never got picked. Then one year we were chosen twice in ONE vacation. We turned down the second time just to allow some other family to enjoy it. All of us had a great time.
I will miss the old show,but am excited to be able to hang out on Main Street,browse the shops and get a latte.

Closing this show was probably Disney's biggest mistake since getting rid of Spectro Magic! 😭 I'll miss the show so much! ❤️
Disney Shield I know! I miss both so much. Disney should bring them back for the 50th
they made 2 mistakes m closing the show *AND* removing the pyro effect before the last performance.
@@Tyler-lc3jx I know! They really should. But with Bob Chapek everything is about the bottom line so he won’t be spending one extra dollar 😪😥. Example: not wanting to spend money moving the harmonious Barges in and out of World Showcase everyday night. So instead we have huge thanos looking space ships ruining the ambience
@@disneyshield I totally forgot about this comment and seeing this video again fills my heart!! It’s sad Disney Parks have lost their special touch. It still has so much to offer but it is definitely not the same. Hearing this music reminds me of what Disney used to be. With modern new shows and parades flooding the parks, really makes me miss the classic musical scores of some of these old shows/parades. They just had a different flair that I can’t seem to describe! It’s like a sense of wonder in each note and a timeless sense of magic/fantasy.

I never got to see this sadly. My parents refused to get up early in the morning. we would always go later in the morning or afternoon. I hope they make another one. I wish they would try to do this for the other parks

I'm so upset I never got to see it EVERYTIME I went Noone would get up early. I begged for my b day and my husband and inlaws would not hurry up and we just missed it. I should have gone alone!

Miner47000 They just remove the panels from a regular trainset, so most likely just slap the panels back on and press it back into passenger service.

Congested or not, I am not sure how the new show will still have the same amount of "magic" this one has. I feel like the new one will just feel like a normal castle show. But who knows, hopefully I am wrong.
yep permanent. they've done a shorter version in the past when the railroad was down. strangely though, THAT version had a different announcer.
