My husband and I are white but we live in an ultra progressive state. If we put a Trump sign in our yard they would nail our doors shut and burn the house down with the entire family inside.
They steal and destroy lawn signs for democrats that are moderate. They go after people all the time threatening violence for shirts and hats they don't like.
It is a crazy time. They've been told that we are all hateful bigots, racist, misogynist, transphobic, and xenophobic. We are none of those things. Just poor and we NEED a better economy. We don't like war and want to feel safe. We want everyone to be safe.
I love you but where are your standards when it comes to the presidency. Trump could not qualify to get a job at the post office, or even join the military as a private. Why would anyone think such a person should be entrusted with the highest office in the land? His former VP, Security Advisor, and Chief of Staff all say he is unfit for the office. Who would know better than them?
@garrick1117 so three people in his administration didn't like him? You do know that 90 some percent of Kamala's staff quit and said she was unfit and ill-equipped for the job of VP, right?
As far as his criminal charges, did you ever go look into them? Or do you only watch MSDNC or CNN? Plenty of lawyers weighed in saying they would lose that case on appeal because it was political persecution. The documents case was even more absurd because president's are allowed to take documents. Biden took confidential files as a Senator and gave them to a ghost writer, which is illegal. He also stored them in several unsecured locations. Did you read the report for that? They decided not to file charges against him because they said he wasn't mentally cognitive enough to stand trial, yet he's still our current president. Btw, Trump's documents were secured.
Lastly, Trump was already president. Our economy was great. He was the first president in over 40 years to not get us into any new wars. Our border was secure. He was the first president to permanently fund HBCUs. Also, the first and only president to pass prison reform. Maybe you should try getting your news from Ground News where they show you what each side is reporting on because legacy media reports 85% positive for democrats and 87% negative toward Trump and conservatives. How can you make an informed decision when you are hearing debunked lies from your news sources?!

When Trump was found guilty of those bogus charges, I had a woman outside of Walmart in Texas, go outbof her way to flag me down and give me the news. She was literally out there dancing as if she had won the lottery. When she told me, I didn't say anything. I just walked off. Now, I just cane out of Walmart where I paid 30% more than I paid when Trump was president and you're out here celebrating something that doesn't benefit anyone. I can't tell you how often people just approach me randomly and start whining about the dangers of project 2025 or sundown towns and how Trump has emboldened racists to be more bold. In my head I'm thinking, you're telling me you feel safer after dark in Memphis, New Orleans, South Dallas, Baltimore than you do in a so called sundown town?

Even at work Tuesday, I had some co workers asked me who I voted for. I refused to answer because I do not discuss politics on the job. That next day, most of them voted for Harris but two voted for Trump (both black and including myself).

Yeah even as a white woman working at a grocery store, I had to steer clear of politics. Not completely but I’m not about to loose my job over an argument about why I’m voting for Trump. When directly asked I stood by my convictions. It’s frowned upon to discuss politics.

@ I feel the same way about work environment surrounding politics. It’s crazy how many customers just want to keep money in their pockets and I understand that. As much as I love most of my customers I don’t want them to feel like I’m judging them because generally I don’t. What I mean by that is I don’t favor drunken people who want to argue about why I am not selling them alcohol, it’s a state law and I’m not going to jail over them wanting to drink and drive.

I really enjoy watching Anton Daniels. If people watch him with their emotions parked to the side, he makes a lot of sense and actually speaks facts regarding certain topics. This whole monolithic mentality that many members of the black community possess is honestly frustrating and annoying at this point. Black people should be allowed to vote, think, and believe in whatever we want too freely without being at risk of being chastised and lambasted by our own community.
I absolutely agree. But, some folks are too emotional. I would really hate to know some of these folks in real life.
What's crazy to me is that.. do people think all white people vote the same? Better yet, do people think that about Hispanics or Asians or Native Americans? Sure, I hear of specific white people or a mostly white group villainizing other white people for voting for Harris (they tend to have bigger character flaws than that tho tbh), but there's not campaign language like "if you don't vote for Trump, you're not white". Maybe there is, but it seems to be not as widespread at all. I'm not sure why anyone would want to be a part of any group that doesn't allow them to fully think for themselves.
If someone asks you a 'personal' question, tell them they need to give you their social security number first.

As a White man conservative Trump supporter I face this all the time but with White women. I try to calmly educate people then and ask them why they feel the way they do. They can never ever when pressed give me a real legitimate reason why they feel that way based on facts only emotions.
A lot of people still trust the mainstream media. It's the mainstream media's fault for being politically biased these days and striking fear into people and causing division between the two parties.
In 2016, I put a photo of Trump surrounded by Democrats crying as my screensaver. I lost people that called themselves my friends, but my true friends hung around and we are presently still good.

Thank you for a very nice video, so I ordered Trump shirts while I was out canvassing for Dave McCormick up here in Pennsylvania. The one day I was at a door and I heard this lady behind me tell another lady that "he lies about everything " I was doing campaign work and didn't want the organization to look bad, but I sure did want to educate her, but like you said it would probably be best not to waste my time. Now I did change my shirt two times though because I was getting medical treatment done and didn't want to give them a reason to "accidently rough me up while administration of treatments, but I'm so grateful for people like y'all. Yeah, I’m a self employed contractor and have about a 50/50 mix of Democrats and Republican clients. So I don’t show or share my political beliefs with them. I know that democrats have crappy attitudes and are easily offended by conservative leaning individuals. Most of the democratic clients assume I’m liberal minded and will spill their guts about their views. I’ll listen and reply in a very neutral manner. I’m with you! Voting should be a private matter and I really don’t care who people vote for.

There are some things that I definitely agree with you on in this commentary. I agree with you that the young man wore the MAGA hat, knowing that he would get a reaction, so he was prepared to respond. He just got approached by someone who was not as prepared to make their point as he was to defend his position. To be fair, he had every right to express his support for the version of America that benefits him and his objectives in life. Just like there were black slave owners in America and black who fought for the Confederacy to maintain the institution of slavery on behalf of the master, there are still black people who will support white dominance today. From what I know of the MAGA movement and their leaders based on my lived experience, the America they strive to go back to is one before black people in America had civil rights, voting rights, and equal protection under the law and the rights to live and attend the school of their choice. These things are evident to me based on the things that they have attacked to have overturned or taken away. I'm old enough to remember when both Kennedys were terminated along with Dr. Martin Luther King,you see, people didn’t die fighting for civil rights,they were taken out. The benefits that young people today take for granted and make them feel as though there is no struggle because they never had to participate in it are being squandered away because they don't think they will be impacted by loss when they are gone. When the president elect says that he will give the police immunity from prosecution and bring back stop and Frisk,who do you think those policies are targeted at? To say that he has nothing to do with project 2025 is to completely ignore the fact that his name is mentioned over three hundred times and written by former members of his administration who promote white supremacy and white Christian nationalism. So if that is what he or you support, say it with your chest, call a thing what it is. As for me , I am neither Democrat nor Republican neither Christian, or Muslim, no one is coming to save me . I think for myself and the only man that I look up to is my higher self. What I won't be is a slave to a white supremacist ideology because it benefits me financially. I W R D F
Regardless of who you voted for at the end of the day we are very blessed to be able to vote some people don't have that so I feel very lucky to be able to vote and have a voice in my government

For some reason, I don't really believe this conversation happened. I believe a lot of it is made up. And I voted for Trump, so this ain't about being a trump supporter or non supporter it's just I don't believe this conversation took place.

I do feel the need to hide who I vote for. I am white and voted for Trump, but I am like you, I don't feel it's anyone's business to share who I vote for, with family and close friends it's different. Even then, I wouldn't start harassing someone for wearing gear for a candidate I disagree with.

Oh, forgot to answer your question: I voted for Trump and I'm very happy he won. I don't wear my Trump stuff in public because it's not beneficial to me to attract that drama. I live in a heinously blue state but we got some counties flipped red this time around. Liberals are very emboldened and I don't have the luxury of losing my job or getting pulled into drama. So I just vote in my best interest and try to do the right thing as best I can. I miss when we lived and let live.

I concede that the swastika was used as a symbol other than Hitler and the Nazis. However, given the extreme negative connotations of the symbol, it's a very disingenuous and hurtful sentiment to wear such a sign. It stirs up a lot of pain and suffering, so why use it?

I'm pretty mentally strong, but the cruelty that got to me has been online. When they told me my infant daughter that was killed by a drunk driver would have been ashamed of me for voting against rights she would have had if she were still alive... I'll be honest - that broke me for a bit. However, I'm back and ready to keep fighting the good fight.
