Great game. I had a demo of a prototype version in TTS with Robb the creator. Its a very strategic game. The first part has you sneaking around assassinating guards and hiding bodies, setting up explosives and hiding in the bushes. Once the alarm sounds all hell breaks loose and the game flips to a crazy fast paced Intense firefight. Very original game and certainly has that old PC Commandos game feel.
Just wondering if things can tumble out of control pretty quickly so you might decide just to start again. It seems quite 'real' with guards alerting other guards etc but when there is an alert is there an up hill struggle to keep survive and keep out of the way?
Not always. If you alert a guard but are not spotted (you fire from a hidden position) the Axis revert to non-alert states at the end of the round. Also, in this instance stationary sentries stay put but just rotate. So if one did spot you you can take them out and return to a non-spotted/non-alert state. It just slows you down and the alarm track still progresses onwards. Also, once spotted, it's not a chain reaction to involve ALL axis...it's only the ones in the vicinity of your hero and the primary axis who spotted you.
While this game does look like a lot of fun, the similarities to V-Sabotage (previously named V-Commandos) is undeniable. I'm a big fan of V-Sabotage and own nearly all of the content that is available for that game. If you have played V-Sabotage, I'm wondering if you can provide your thoughts around the comparison to this new game. If I own one, do I need the other? Thanks!
Hi BIll, the main differences are that the "being discovered" mechanics in the stealth section are all based on actual enemy LOS or earshot (no dice rolls) so a lot of the strategy elements come from your positioning and timing. The environments are much bigger (this is the mini preview (4 tiles), most of the maps are 6-9 and even 12 tiles) and have a heavy focus on vehicles (either using them or blowing them up :) )

Exactly!!! Don't hang around...but don't be too hasty...but stay hidden...but kill Axis...and be quiet!!!
Thanks for the review!
One to watch out for.
Thanks for the heads up and great over view.
As always, clear, well paced and balanced.
Thank you. This does look very good!!
@@NinjaGeekGames Trouble is, I have V Commandos coming. I think it'll be a similar theme.
@@jonathanfryer1319 similar theme, totally different mechanically.
@@robertbutler8771 Good. But should I back to wait..?
@@jonathanfryer1319 Back obviously :)

@@NinjaGeekGames Well that's some good news. I think I'm tired of playing against the odds. Thank you.

Hi, I've not played V-Sabotage so unable to comment. I might check it out

@@robertbutler8771 exactly as Rob says. No luck involved in the stealth part, purely tactical game play
Just the Normandy theatre, not the African one, right?
