- If you haven't heard already DART recently debuted their new CAST IRON 2JZGTE CONCEPT BLOCK at FL2K22. Here is some detailed information I filmed for you all while interviewing Mike at the Dart booth.

Dart was already made B-series and D-series honda Head and Block back then, I don't know if they still made them now
We need them to hurry up and release their RB blocks! They are in the works but not production ready... So many people will buy these RB blocks, their blocks aren't quite as robust as the 2JZ and people grenade blocks all the time. We can make the power, we just need a decent block option in between a factory casting and a $14,500 billet block...
4200 bucks for a bulletproof 2JZ block is a slammin deal. The 4 bolt mains, no coolant between cylinder bores, and added material all around is really really nice. Compared to a billet block that can hold slightly more power and costing 10x as much that's a deal
2jz has siamese bores stock, I think it's ridiculous that they use this as a sales pitch
If you send a rod through a billit block the befit is you can repair it but the price is a joke
Dude... This is simply awesome. The 2JZ world needed this. 4 Bolt main caps is a something I always wanted to see on a 2JZ block. Their amazing with just 2... Now there's going to be a cast iron block with 4. Improvements on an already proven engine. It gets better.

If you're making enough hp to need this, you can afford it.
4200 bucks for a block that can hold over 2000hp possibly over 3000... that's not a bad ratio. Your cylinder head to make that much power will cost more than the bottom end and this block still.
Dart needs to do a Australia Barra i6 4lt block they would sell thousands of them here

Not at all. Great bridge between factory and billet block at less than half the price.
actually its really good id say. comparing to buying an almost 30year old engine/block, then throw inn main caps/studs/linehone and so on
surely the "ultimate" 2jz block weighs half as much and is made of billet alloy :)

Is nice to see Dart is doing this. Compared to the V8 blocks it seems a bit expensive. I was expecting same range as V8.

I’ want to see what happens in the next couple years with these. Gonna see some racers go down from billet aluminum race blocks to these iron blocks. Definitely will see stock casting racers upgrade to this even tho it’s heavier.
shoot, its just ballast to keep the front end down at these power levels! Those main caps are my favorite part. mmmm

We urgently need some Dart RB blocks, guys! I know they're in the works, but come on! We're going through blocks at an alarming rate down in Australia- anyone can build power these days but getting them to hold together is a lot tougher...

They make adapters. There are at least two companies who make a full LS to 2J swap setup. Un-LS-swapping is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard commercialized.

Most of the high HP mid to low 7 second cars are using NA blocks and NA head.
Brings me a lot of comfort knowing NA blocks can do this. Going to build mine at some point
