Your work is so meticulous, I never would have thought you would be facing these problems. The only thing I can say is, if it was easy, every supra owner would have a 6 second car. You are really pushing the boundaries of this engine in my opinion and you are doing it on a amature level which is quite amazing.
Meticulous? Hardly - the ECU is missing vital basic sensors that he knows are key to making it reliable in hindsight when running NOS at this level. NO gear position sensor, no speed sensor and a shitty AEM V2 - come on - It's time to get the billet block and Motec M150 package together and join the rest who are running 6s with better reliability. He's blowing a motor every 2nd meet now.
Pedro I gotta tell you, you are awesome man! Ive been watching you for years! I’m 20, hopefully one day I’ll be able to do what you are doing! You are truly inspirational to me, God bless you and your family. If and when you do go billet and you get it dialed in you are going to be an absolute monster!

Definitely time for a billet. Its going to be expensive but once your in the 6s it would totally be worth it.

Would be great to see you go with the billet but never at the expense of providing for your family. Either way, getting the fuel pump and sensors sorted so you can tune it properly would be sensible.

Wait for the new cast Dart Block. Cheaper than a billet block and seems like it's going to be much stronger than stock. Add a front plate!
Pedro, my dude. Been following for a few years. Love what your doing, and your passion. You are doing BIGGGG things and I’m going through the same sorts of dilemmas with my Subaru drag car. I think ultimately with a 6 second goal, to save all the headaches and potential problems from day just a few extra pounds of boost ending it all, billet block is for sure the way. I know I’m a lot of ways billet isn’t in a lot of peoples budget, but if you can swing it man, I know you won’t regret it. Cooper is going billet too. Dave yourself from spending money over and over. If there’s anything I’ve learned is spending money 2,3,4 times really sucks. Keep doing what your doing tho. It’ll all pay off race fam! 💪🏽

Billet babby. 6.50's incoming. The reliability will save you from these constant set backs. Huge investment upfront, the payback over time will be much better then all the machine shop trips.

Loving the videos, man! New subscriber here, but been following you through Jay's content. Love the analogy at the end about the 58 seconds. Those of us who do this, we gotta love the building as much if not more than the racing... because that's where we spend the most time for sure!

Drag racing is definitely addictive.. maybe you can find the class that you would like to be in that's a little slower but you can keep the car alive for many passes. You always can turn it up and do some Grudge Racing for some extra excitement!!!
Love your work and passion Pedro. Hard to choose between stock and billet block because of the price difference. But maybe you could try the new Dart cast block that comes out soon. Cheaper then billet and better then stock. Anyway keep at it, we support you ! Race Fam 💪🤙
Motec M150, All the sensors required including speed, Trans gear sensor via linear actuator, intake air temp, individual cylinder temp etc, front plate it so the center of the block doesn't get stressed to crack and choice of Cast to get you by or billet for full build up and rebirth.
If reliable 6s are the go- this is the safest bet. You're basically skating on luck that it doesn't blow half track due to some AEM V2 or sensor / tune issue and put you into the wall man with the current setup.

Pedro! Met ya in fl2k 2 year ago. The stock block is great. But that dart cast block would be great! For the cost savings over the billet, it could be a winner! If it was me, I would go with the upgrade block, and a sensor to control the nitrous that way your golden brother! Thanks for the awesome vids!

What a supportive wife you have my G! You are a Nutter haha! Billet is a whole different ball game right now! But I guess if you want to go 6.8-7.1 range reliably (ish) just go fresh Cast Iron block again and be a little more careful haha or if you wanna chase 6.9-6.5’s go billet …. Will be way more money but if you have it yeah go for it for sure.

I figured it was either the gasket or a sleeve but the block to that hurts. I would definitely look into a billet block but depends on wats salvageable. If u need 1 piston get another ge block and get the machine work done. And fix the damn nitrous before u race again.
I’d say as competitive as your are and to save time and money going billet is key. You will enjoy the car a lot longer.

As much as i love cast, if you can't get darts new block, till next year... billet is the way. The classes are only getting faster and you're already maxed out with stock block. Billet is future proof and you could up displacement. That would help with getting that bigger lazy turbo going out of the hole. New goal 6.50's baby!

Hi Pedro & rest of the family.
Gutted to hear that Baltic is hurt once again but she was putting in the work, the past couple on runs / events you've done.
Think its safe to say that at the power levels your running now that alot of the factory parts are past their working life / limits.
If your going down the route of Billet engine block then i'd say its time to invest into more engine safety measures / sensors as the last thing you wanna be doing is hurting an expensive Billet block.

Wait for the dartt blocks to come out, and put a GE block back. The thing is what I loved about your stuff originally was you were pushing the A340 to the limits, and the same for the stock bottom end. So many others have been down the billet and there's nothing really to prove there since others have done it and it's just $$$$,

I wish it was available. But those won’t go for sale till this time next year
GE block is fine, you just need to get a speed sensor on there and control the nitrous by speed instead of RPM, but if you can afford to go billet then its the way to go in the long run.
And which ever way you go you're going to want to get a front plate on there.

CONSIDERING YOUR GOALS and the numbers you're after I think Billet is the way to go, with that said though, You've run many passes on that block and hurt a few things a few times so going another block if its free and paying for the machining can't hurt too much to give it another try and recuperate funds in the meantime to go billet later...
moral: Bite off what you can chew and make that money, don't go broke chasing more

Oof Senior Pedro. I feel your pain. Been saving/investing/working 80 hour weeks for a solid year to sink $40k in my MKIV and it’s not even close to running yet. I feel that you’ve rebuilt your entire car 3 times since I went to lunch.
