They mention the combinations of Bianca and Jimmy Carter, Berry and his son, and Bianca and Beyonce/Solange. They might as well have put this whole thing together. Berry's celebrity tree is more extensive than anybody else's. Ever. First, the other half of the LMFAO group is Berry's grandson, who is ten yrs younger than his son (who is Rhonda Ross's little brother, Diana's daughter), who is his youngest child. Also, Bianca's dad Richard married Berry's niece (before divorcing her and then marrying Beyonce and Solange mama). And, if we looked at the breakdown of Bianca and Jimmy, you see the name Gordy. That's Jimmy's mother's maiden name. She is Berry's grandfather's niece; which makes Berry Gordy and Jimmy Carter 2nd cousins. Their grandfathers are brothers (half). I'm surprised whoever posted this didn't catch it (or maybe they did, but probably didn't want to connect it, which I TOTALLY understand). Out of anything the last 10 yrs I found out, this blew. My. Mind. This also shows how not-so-long ago slavery was. Berry's dad did not claim his grandfather (all of whom have the same name, which is why Berry's given name is Gordy II). Berry's grandmother was his grandfather's slave. This is one reason why we don't let folks tell us that slavery was a long time ago; when there are still people living that can tell us that their grandmother was a slave, it feels a lot closer than we would think....

This shows that it’s always easier to get into certain careers when you are related to, friends with, or otherwise connected to someone already there. A big reason many won’t even get a chance. Overall cool video to see so many connections in the black community.
Having family, friends or past acquaintances does help.
I was in Cleveland for job training and some years later i got sent to St.Louis for a similar but different job within the same organization. I found out that the lady that trained me in Cleveland ended up training my trainer in St.Louis.
I could go more into but im going to say being there led to me making over $20 an hour without needing a degree.

Yep it's a small world. My ex-husband was Natalie Cole's cousin. His great uncle Natalie's grandfather was the pastor of a church in a small town called "North Chicago" they still have family in the area. My ex grandma who raised him was close to Natalie when she was young & she had all these photos of my ex as a kid playing at Natalie's house in CA. She also had old photos of Nat King Cole as a child playing piano in church...so cool. She was a treasure trove of unknown history.
