I'm from Missouri and my last name is "Boone." Hahaha. Been watching you and Laura for a while. I relocated to the continent of Africa almost 3 years ago now. I am developing a sustainable life here and am a homemaker, business owner and mom of a homeschooled teen! Your videos are comforting. Your reach is far. Congrats. You have an American watching from the continent of Africa!
I can’t believe how tall your daughter has gotten. No more little girls, two beautiful young ladies. Goes too fast doesn’t it 😢 Snowed here in Spokane Valley, Washington last night, rain all day and just tested positive for Covid. We won’t be going anywhere.
I have a loaf of sourdough in the oven, another loaf waiting to be baked, chocolate chip cookie batter is made, waiting to be baked, laundry going, and apples, lemons and limes in my dehydrater
When my kids were little I hated how dirty the highchair got. I bought a few of those elastic changing pad covers, cut holes for the highchair straps and the elastic would fit snug around the whole chair. I’d swap it for a fresh one each day and throw the dirty one in the wash. Easy on and off too.
I agree that the videos are like a "warm hug," especially with the fireplace, snow, and such. I'm curious what the little blue building is. It is adorable.
I found THE BEST highchair, the one from Baby Björn. Its super easy to clean, almost no grooves, no straps or any fabric component that coud get messy + the toddler can def not get out, so its very safe. Unlike many other highchairs that work with straps and I find that my toddler will always try and get out of them and usually suceed.
I made some sourdough crumpet this morning so good and so easy for this old lady of almost 78 years young. lol I love them more than the English muffins myself.
I love the bake potato bar! I try to empty my fridge weekly. Thank you for the cozy video; watching from rainy Oregon. I appreciate all the tips for sourdough baking. I'm a new subscribers and thoroughly enjoy your channel.
Dear Lisa, my family loved the pizzas, dinner rolls and the cookies I made recently. I say thanks to you, I continue to pray thay you may reach more people to be creative and cook from scratch.
The editing on this videos was amazing. With the comforting, calming music and the new snippets of you Lisa, like cleaning the high chair, I think the editor did a fantastic job, after you’ve done filming your super fantastic job. 😊
If you want another way to use up eggs, we love adding egg yolks to our smoothies. It adds good healthy fats plus it gives the smoothie a nice creamy consistency.
I try to never miss a video. *TIP* from an old mom… sauté everything together (chicken and veggies) saves a ton of time, extra dishes, and coats everything with flavors from one another. 😉
Throw an old bath towel on to the bare high chair. That's what I do! It doesn't need to be refreshed every day and it is absorbent for liquids. I just flick off the dried food particles. Top priority for my high chair is that they are indeed safely and securely restrained, so I do not worry about them trying to get out. So many of the minimalistic ones do not safely keep them in! I have used this trick for years as I am a mom of 7 and now grandmother of 2. Thank you for wonderful content!
I love how communities of people can share. Try using a large pot lid on your bread bowl. Easy--easy to clean and domed, generally speaking, and keeps the bread moist.......
My baby is napping and my older kids are at school, it was like visiting a friend for a little bit while I folded laundry and prepped supper. We’re suppose to get about 15cm of snow in the next few days, but all I’m thinking about is garden plans and buying new layers lol come on spring 🌷
Hi Lisa, it was so nice to sit n to watch your video today while I enjoy my coffee I live my dream through you. Today was a great one. It was so nice to hear the children in the back ground waiting patiently for their meal. Pray you stay well. I can’t imagine if you ever got very sick n Luke would have to do the meals LOL. I’m sure he could conquer some but nothing like a Mama. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟
I love to watch your channel, it is classical homemaking but with the help of modern conveniences, I find it comforting as it takes me back to a simpler time (for me anyway). I am amazed by your ability to do all you do and keep your home so organized and beautiful. The children seem calm (do they ever fight?) I am humbled by the fact that while I do my share of household management activities it could probably earn me a certificate from any respectable University. With your large family and organizational skills you Laura would be awarded a Doctorate (PhD) in Home Management Summa Cum Laude, from Yale. I am amazed. Blessings to your family
Isn’t it wonderful having your own eggs. We have our own and the differences between store bought and really fresh eggs is amazing. We also have Nigerian dwarf goats. The milk is so delicious. Absolutely no goaty taste at all. The yogurt, cheesecake, cheese, and soap, etc, we make are also amazing. I can hardly eat store bought yogurt anymore. You are blessed Lisa, love watching you and your sweet family. May God continue to bless you and yours. ♥️🙏
Lately I have been is a slump..I need motivation..I have things I need to cook ..left over odd and in ..plus think I’m gonna make a large breakfast.. And I need to sweep and mop entire house so I can get that out my way .. Have a Great Day 💜✌🏽🌱
You are an inspiration and motivator! Even if you aren’t trying to be! I so love your daughter being in the kitchen with you. What a blessing. Someday, down the road, these will be comforting memories for both of you!♥️
That's a nice snowman 😊 your videos make me feel im right in your cozy kitchen when u cook. Always a delight watching you and your daughter in the kitchen ❤️
It's 5.3 am here now as I watch this and I just fed my starter to get it bubbly. I'll put the dough in the fridge this evening as we are going on a weekend trip and that way I can bake it first thing early Monday morning to get fresh bread for that day. It's the first time I'm trying it keeping it that long in the fridge. I did 2 days and that was fine.
I'm not sure if you are aware, but I wanted to let you know that Kitchen aid attachments have been found to have extremely high levels of lead. They have tested at up to 2434. The safe level for children is 100. See Lead Dafe Mama (Tamara Rubin's) finding. I've heard that you can get lead free attachments made from a different manufacturer. I was very sad to part with mine but lead is omitting I don't want to expose my family to.
I do my sourdough just like you do it’s so fun and easy and of course delicious. I do whole grains too. I buy the einkorn all purpose to feed my starters since my daughter in law eats only einkorn. So I’ve been using that some when I make einkorn bread about half. It’s always educational to watch you. I know exactly what you mean about the egg drought being over. I add eggs to my waffles too.
You are absolutely right about the high chair! We looked at so many ‘luxury’ high chairs with padded seats, reclining positions, wheels etc- but in the end listened to my mum who owned a childcare setting for years and said ‘ Get the cheap plastic moulded seat one - you’ll thank me later!’ And she was right. We bought a wipe clean removable cushion for the back, but we went with the basic white IKEA model and it’s been brilliant.
I am just imagining how amazing your home must smell with all the fresh bread, the amazing scratch foods, fresh coffee..and ...bacon! 😆 so comforting ❤
The snow is beautiful on your homestead. We’ve not had any in a couple of years. I’m sure the kids love it. They are getting so big. Your food always looks so delicious! Take care and God bless your precious family! 😀❤️
I have really been enjoying the book All About Sourdough by Glenda Geoff. It’s all whole grain sourdough recipes. It’s been so helpful in understanding whole grain baking. Love your videos! Hugs from Oregon ❤️❤️
The snow sitting on your fence in the opening moments of your video reminds me very much of a Monet winter scene, called "The Magpie." Incredibly charming!
Watching your videos makes me want to move to the US so desperately! With snow here 8 months of the year, there are only so many “cozy” snow days inside that I can handle before I feel like I’m going crazy 😅
Lol, that’s Missouri for you. It was almost 40 degrees warmer here yesterday than it is today. I don’t know what part she lives in but I’m right outside Saint Louis.
We had a wooden Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair for my little one. I loved it, easy to assemble, use and clean. Lovely looking too. Passed it on to other family members when we no longer needed it.
Whenever we have lots of eggs I boil a bunch of them, peel them and then serve them with warm mustard cream sauce, some peas and cooked potatoes. It's quite a common dish here in Germany and a great way to feed a crowd on a budget. 😊
Yep we bought the Peg Perego high chair for our first. I thought a leather padded seat would be okay, I hated cleaning it. Got the IKEA one for my 3rd, and then invested in the Stokke Tripp Trapp for my 4th. I should’ve started with the Tripp Trapp! Sooo easy to clean and will turn into a a regular chair when they’ve outgrown it. It’s my first piece I bought with grandchildren in mind 🤣
I have the Boon Grub high chair and it is the easiest thing in the world to clean. The whole thing can be put in the dishwasher, though I never have had to do that because it is so easy to wipe down. Highly reccomend!
Hi Lisa! I’ve been watching your channel ever since I began the sourdough bread making journey about a year ago! It was on my bucket list to make bread, and because of your mentorship, I’m fulfilling a dream!! Thank you! You are an inspiration to me as a new stay-at-home momma to a two month old. Every video I watch, I get a new helpful tip to make this job of being a homemaker even better! I feel like you are an older, wiser sister (adding to the 3 other older sisters I have haha!) Thank you!! Also, I can see Christ shine in you even if you’re not talking about your faith! You are a light!!
Hey, I watch you all the time.. in this busy time of my life you are all I watch. My. Husband says it's good you don't live nearby.. that I would never be home. Haha. But. I am a home body too. Would you consider making a video about pie and cheesecakes and puddings with your daughter? I am a good baker but I cannot get pie like items or custards down.. not sure why.. I want to blame it on my.elevation but that's not true. 😊
I love your videos! Our home is 94 years old, on 10 acres. It is a work in progress. It is sooo soothing and calming to watch you in your kitchen. Because of you, my sourdough starter is great! I LOVE making my bread! Thank you for all you do!
And here I am all the way “Down Under” in Melbourne Australia, watching your videos too Lisa! I’m in total awe of every little thing that you do - in terms of your family life, your beautiful home & your amazing home making skills! Your demeanour throughout is just so calming & as I sit here crocheting (I’m a crafter), I feel so relaxed that it’s it like I’m falling inside your videos! I can almost feel the chill of the snow, which is pretty ridiculous right now because it’s about 36 degrees Celsius outside at 8pm! Lots of Aussie ♥️ to you & yours “Up Over!”
Your videos always help me breathe back into my homemaking. I'm a honeschooling, homemaker who's had to go back to work part-time recently and I'm still struggling to settle into our new daily life. Its wonderful to just take a moment and allow myself to be a home maker again and endulge myself with the joy of it. Thank you. We love kiwi boxes too!
I enjoyed this video so much. The music is very relaxing. I learned how to make a sourdough starter after seeing one of your videos. I measured my amounts and didn't get caught up in weighing it. My cousin started making sourdough after I did. She weighs everything. Just shows how different we are. I finally got her to try to make sourdough muffins. She loves them. Life got busy so I stopped making bread and dehydrated some of my starter to save it but I think if I start making it again I want to get a well aged starter. Thank you for inspiring me. I grew up in an old farmhouse and I miss it so much. May God continue to bless you and your family.
KiwiCo is the absolute best. I have been sending crate subscriptions to my granddaughters since they were born, with the older one now 4 and a half. I also send individual crates to my great nieces and nephews. Not only do the kids love the crates, but so do the parents. They also have wonderful customer service.
Lisa, I started watching your sister’s videos, love them! She has recommended your channel, and now watcg you both!! Love this video!!! Blessings to you and your loved ones.
I so enjoy this channel! It brings both peace and knowledge. I never even knew that you could just make a sourdough starter until I found Lisa. I have an about 2 week old, very happy, very healthy stater now and it passed the float test today! I just sat down after hand kneading my very first homemade bread, and a sourdough sandwich loaf at that! I cannot wait to see how it turns out, and cannot thank you enough for teaching me through this channel and your blog. Thank you so much! ❤
Lisa, I'm a momma to 8 as well. for my my first couple kiddos we used a brand new wooden high chair, then I found an antique one , much easier to clean then plastic I would think. Also, for using lots of Eggs. We love quiche , my favorite is spinach, tomato , onion with feta andotger cheeses, so yummy!
I made your waffles last night for breakfast for dinner!! Making your chicken gnocchi soup tonight with a loaf of your no knead. I can’t wait to try the whole wheat, looks like it turned out so well! I might have to do potato bar tomorrow with the leftover potatoes I won’t use tonight. ❤ you’re so inspiring, I just love you so! 🙏🏻
Thanks for experimenting with more whole grain recipes! That's what I grew up with for the most part so it's what I like to eat and I can't wait for the delicious variations you come up with!
How wonderful! Glad to have you.
Who's Laura?
Her sister, her RUclips channel is Our Oily House.
Oh thank you so much! I'll check her!
Hey from another missourian !!!
I can’t believe how tall your daughter has gotten. No more little girls, two beautiful young ladies. Goes too fast doesn’t it 😢
Snowed here in Spokane Valley, Washington last night, rain all day and just tested positive for Covid. We won’t be going anywhere.
It does go by so fast!!!
It would be awesome if you interviewed your mom on your show. She raised such amazing women.
That would be awesome to meet your Mom.
I have a loaf of sourdough in the oven, another loaf waiting to be baked, chocolate chip cookie batter is made, waiting to be baked, laundry going, and apples, lemons and limes in my dehydrater
What a productive morning! Doesn't it feel so good to accomplish so much before lunch?
@FarmhouseonBoone it does,I was up before the sun feeling kind of ill,but the show must go on.I love all of your videos, they are so informative.

Ooh, it’s a guest house. She’s got renovation videos on it. It’s so charming.

I am convinced that all parchment paper boxes self destruct upon opening! Great video, Lisa! ❤😊
I wanna live on Parchment Farm!
True Statement lol
Truth
How this beautiful Lady keeps everything together and is so efficient and organised ! We all bow down at your feet 🎉🎉 🌟 😇
Thanks so much
IKEA high chairs are easiest to clean, you can even put it in the dishwasher, honestly both tray and seat fit ! It’s so inexpensive too!
I am 37 weeks pregnant and it's hard for me to motivate to do anything at all. You have motivated me to get up and get moving today. Thank you Lisa 🥲
Was where you are at 2 months ago. It can be hard to move sometimes. 😊
Congratulations on the new little life!
@@cynthiafisher9907 Thank you! She is really a blessing! Congratulations on your little one getting ready to make the big move into the big world!
I made some sourdough crumpet this morning so good and so easy for this old lady of almost 78 years young. lol I love them more than the English muffins myself.
Yesterday I was hanging clothes on the line 50’s. Today the wind chill is -7 with snow.
Your channel is always like a warm hug 🤗💛
It would be nice to see your everyday interaction with the kids.
I wouldn't post my kids online. I'm assuming she doesn't show them a lot to respect her children and keep them safe.
Hands down the IKEA high chair is the best! So easy to clean!
You inspire this 71 yr woman
At 67 I have enjoyed finding her channel and i to am learning new techniques 🌼
A great compliment...thank you!

Wonderful!
Definitely going to make pudding with eggs now that the ducks are laying - should be extra buttery! 😊
The editing on this videos was amazing. With the comforting, calming music and the new snippets of you Lisa, like cleaning the high chair, I think the editor did a fantastic job, after you’ve done filming your super fantastic job. 😊

good idea!

My favorite channel
Throw an old bath towel on to the bare high chair. That's what I do! It doesn't need to be refreshed every day and it is absorbent for liquids. I just flick off the dried food particles. I'm jealous of the snow😭😭😭 here in Northern NY it's 60 today.😔
we had 80 degrees two days ago!
Thank you for including the outside snowy scenes, they make everything so peaceful looking. Even something as mundane as cooking. 😊
I really enjoy the music. Its very relaxing and soothing.
I love how communities of people can share. Try using a large pot lid on your bread bowl. Easy--easy to clean and domed, generally speaking, and keeps the bread moist.......

You got this! You can go to my blog FarmhouseonBoone.com and search through the breakfast section for some inspo!
Love your channel. You have such a beautiful warm and cozy home full of sweet children and delicious food!!’
We got snow yesterday in Utah. Ugh, I'm so ready for Spring! But I must say your farm looked beautiful with that fresh snow. ❄️❤
You are an inspiration and motivator! Even if you aren’t trying to be! I so love your daughter being in the kitchen with you. What a blessing. Someday, down the road, these will be comforting memories for both of you!♥️

Stratas are nice to use eggs, day old bread and leftover chicken. Also mine I add broccoli. Whip eggs with milk, do layers and top with cheese.
Awesome video,
I love when you film your house from outside it's so pretty.
I just learned this lesson the annoying way 😄
Holy cow yes. I also even had a washable drop mat for the floor under the chair for my oldest son. Simple is best 😂😂
Absolutely . Having brought up 4 kids now onto grandkids, IKEA one is the best!
I am just imagining how amazing your home must smell with all the fresh bread, the amazing scratch foods, fresh coffee..and ...bacon! 😆 so comforting ❤
Get a white Ikea highchair. They are so cheap and so easy to clean!
Making crepes with sourdough discard while watching this❤️🔥
The snow is beautiful on your homestead. We’ve not had any in a couple of years. I’m sure the kids love it. They are getting so big. Your food always looks so delicious! Take care and God bless your precious family! 😀❤️
Like the stove. Haven't seen one like that for ages.
It is a hard working machine....1939 Caloric
Lisa, excited to make more breads. Paid a fortune to get einkorn here in Singapore. Thanks for your inspiration
I have really been enjoying the book All About Sourdough by Glenda Geoff. It’s all whole grain sourdough recipes. It’s been so helpful in understanding whole grain baking. Love your videos! Hugs from Oregon ❤️❤️

I replayed that marshmallow to baby transition several times.. it was amazing.
Watching your videos makes me want to move to the US so desperately! With snow here 8 months of the year, there are only so many “cozy” snow days inside that I can handle before I feel like I’m going crazy 😅
I agree with you Lisa! I like the half all purpose and half whole grain as well! My kids don’t like just all whole grain yet lol
"Spring is right around the corner"
Sees snowy tundra outside
👀 😅
Lol, that’s Missouri for you. It was almost 40 degrees warmer here yesterday than it is today. I don’t know what part she lives in but I’m right outside Saint Louis.
Thats crazy and i live 50 miles west of St Louis. You never know what the weather will be around here thats for sure@Just-Nikki
The warm bread with butter and honey shot at the end…I can taste the deliciousness. 😊
hey girl- such yummy recipes! 😀😉 love the pretty snow scenes👍 and always seeing the cute kiddos. 🥰
I absolutely love the IKEA high chairs. So easy to clean, you can even hose them down now and then if you have to :-)
Hi Lisa!Love your videos,is so amazing.Thank you for sharing this.Your children is so so cute and so adorable. We love you honey!♥️💐☘️💚♥️💐☘️💚♥️💐☘️💚🇮🇪🇮🇪
I love a good hard boiled egg for a quick snack... deviled eggs are over the moon delicacy!
Love deviled eggs... I've started using avocado instead of mayo... I'm never going back!!! What a game changer 😊
We had a wooden Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair for my little one. I loved it, easy to assemble, use and clean. Lovely looking too. Passed it on to other family members when we no longer needed it.

Thank You so much for all you do, you are smart, kind and so generous with your time & content!!
God Bless,

Thank you so much!
I found out if you put milk kefir with flour it acts like a sourdough. I was amazed, it worked for me! 🍞🎉❤
The snow there is so beautiful. Love watching your videos and your beautiful family!! God Bless 🙏❤️
Hi Lisa! I’ve been watching your channel ever since I began the sourdough bread making journey about a year ago! It was on my bucket list to make bread, and because of your mentorship, I’m fulfilling a dream!! Thank you! You are an inspiration to me as a new stay-at-home momma to a two month old. I love your videos on home resets. Diane in Denmark has some greats vlogs on homemaking.
Hello family on Boone ❤
Hey,
I watch you all the time.. in this busy time of my life you are all I watch. My. Husband says it's good you don't live nearby.. that I would never be home. Haha. But. I am a home body too.

I am a good baker but I cannot get pie like items or custards down.. not sure why.. I want to blame it on my.elevation but that's not true. 😊
Yes to the high chair advice! I looked for one with no fabric and very few connecting pieces so wiping down is so much easier!
I love your videos! Our home is 94 years old, on 10 acres. It is a work in progress. It is sooo soothing and calming to watch you in your kitchen. Because of you, my sourdough starter is great! I LOVE making my bread! Thank you for all you do!
Love to hear that!!

The ❄️ is so pretty. Your kitchen is so bright and welcoming. ❤ Love hard-boiled eggs in my salad. Love tapioca pudding.
Thanks for sharing the ⛄️.
KiwiCo is the absolute best. I have been sending crate subscriptions to my granddaughters since they were born, with the older one now 4 and a half. I also send individual crates to my great nieces and nephews. Not only do the kids love the crates, but so do the parents. They also have wonderful customer service.
What a great gift...I agree its for the parents and the kids!
I loved the potato bar ❤
We really enjoyed it!
Lisa, I started watching your sister’s videos, love them! She has recommended your channel, and now watcg you both!! Love this video!!! Blessings to you and your loved ones.
Thank you!
Thanks for updating us on your FMF NO KNEAD SD recipe. I’m determined not to use processed flour anymore.
So glad to hear that! You are in for some delicious baked goods.
Love all the vibes!
I just made your sourdough brown bread and OH MY GOSH! ITS my new favorite! So different and sooo delicious 😋
Thanku❤
That bread looked so good. I'm glad you got that beautiful snow.
I love your pantry. The craftsmanship is so pretty and old fashioned
Thank you!
The snow is so pretty. Ty Lisa for sharing.
We love a bake potato bar and it definitely helps clean out the refrigerator. Very tasty!
Thanks for experimenting with more whole grain recipes! That's what I grew up with for the most part so it's what I like to eat and I can't wait for the delicious variations you come up with!
The snow is so beautiful. I live in Charlotte NC and we have not had ANY snow in 3 years!
wow!
Love the snowman!⛄️
We are just learning sourdough. Been making bread about 2 years now. It is definitely a learning curve
It takes a bit of learning but you will get there!
