Thanks for the video. I got my wife a 2020 ZX6R and I am doing a bunch of mods. I need to go further though and throw on some smog block off plates and delete the AIS/Pair Valves. Besides that I have already done the exhaust/Cat, and servo delete. Once the air filter and block off plates are installed its straight to the Dyno.
Oh nice I am sure the bike is nice and going to be better.... stay tune more mod for the bike to come so far we have the same things planned for this bike or type of bike

Sub!! Good information bro! Just got my 21 zx6r 636! Ordered my m4 slip on exhaust and I’m definitely ordering this air filter. Dealer told me to do k&n air filter but you just showed them wrong.
Oh snap nah this one is a good one I have to say tho it dose require more work than the k&n filter keep this in mind check out my lates video for a idea of what I mean

Without an ECU flash you won't be able to take advantage of the additional air getting into your engine. The stock ECU and lambda sensor do not take advantage of the whole rev-range to dynamically adjust according to what the sensor is reading. Outside this range, it just reads off a immutable fuel-map, and adding more air to the mixture won't change anything. If you want to take advantage of more air getting into your engine, you'll have to get your ECU remapped and your O2 sensor replaced. At least that's how it is on my euro-version of the bike/ECU.
Oh wow awesome ummm I flashed my ecu before soing this mod I hace a whole Playlist on the channel. Check it out my O2 sensor is disabled and removed my bike Is very aggressive currently thanks for the heads up

@@jjmax2007 did this mod make any difference to your afr's after the install from the stock filter ? Ive had my bike flash tuned already and am doing the exact same thing.
I don’t know if these are similar to K&N type cotton reusable air filters.
But I used to put k&n on everything.
However I now know these performance cotton filters let through some dirt and particulate.
On my truck I use a secondary wrap over the cotton filter to prevent dirt getting through, and it’s been very effective, showing me objective proof by the lack of dirt in my air box past the filter.
So what I’m getting at is , I’m not sure it’s better to run one of these if you plan to hold on to your back for many years. If you sell your bikes every 4-5 years then this thinking isn’t relevant most likely.
Oh ok I was not aware of this but I clean the filter every 1500 miles not normal I know but this is how I keep it clean and dirt free

Nice bike man, I have a 2013 and bought it new, I worked at a Kawasaki dealership for many many years. You don’t need to remove the fuel tank at all. I’ve done it many times just prop the fuel tank up. That’s all you need to do. Saves a lot of unnecessary steps. Ride safe!
And you do not need to disconnect the battery either, since you’re not cracking any fuel lines or removing the tank, you just simply prop it up it’s super easy that way saves a lot of time
So so true.... I wanted to be able to show where the screw were with the camera... sometimes it better to show how it can be done with out the steps which I'm sure people are doing they just don't know what to take off the lighting and the angles with the tank off is way better for recording ya know
@jracerock69 the only reason I disconnected the battery I'm making many videos this is just one part of many I don't want to forget to disconnect when I get to the spark plug video which was part of this just not in the same one ya know

I have 2019 zx6r m4 slip on thinking abt getting hi flo air filter I got it on the dyno already wondering if I need to dyno again after this 🥴
I do no think so.... the air filter isn't that great of a change like the exhaust
Does removing your o2 sensor throw a code or did the flash get rid of it also why do u have to mess with the o2 sensor when you flash it? Those grips look comfy what kind are they.
the flash got rid of the code for the 02 sensor and the grips are called pillow grips on amazon

How was it disconnecting and reconnecting those fuellines? I need to get my tank off to get some scratches repaired.
They are so easy they are small plastic clips and have to be moved at the same time putting back have to be a bit more careful

Have you inspect your airbox since installing this? I'm interested on how clean/dirty your airbox is after x-miles
I clean the filter every time I change the oil and now that I know I had to change it to every 1500 miles it was very dirty the 1st time I look at it at 3000 miles

Filter the road grim and bugs was all over the place ok the filter is normally red and when. I checked after 3000 miles it was black

Do u have a exhaust also.... ?? If not not really should be fine but ones you get that exhaust that's too much of a air flow change have to get some kind of tube for the bike..... something

I would recommend only cause there is too much of a change to air flow to the system
When you install your filter did you had to adjust your ecu? Or fuel pump module?
no no if it's just the filter no need to make any change to the ecu, now if you change the exhaust that is another thing

Did you have to drain the fuel from the tank to remove the gas tank?
Edit: you do not I did mine yesterday, once you unplug everything you can then drain it into fuel holder or whatever, I switched fuel tanks so I had to switch everything over
No no but I recommend go for a ride and do this when the tank is not completely full it's lighter to move around or hold up if u have to

It gives you the best performance and dust prevention, at the same time you sacrifice your time cleaning it every 2000km. But hey ! i'll take it.

JJ…I got the same filter and I have 2 questions for you. 1, how do I remove all the oil from it to make it look clean and dry like yours?
2 can I just lift the tank instead of removing it to take the air box out?
Awesome ummm yes yes I use the fab air filter cleaner and use warm water to resins or clean. And you do not have to take the tank all the way off I do cause I'm recording ita hard to hold the tank and the camera while removing the air box cover but if you have a stick or stud near by which is what I use when I'm not recording that would work just great
