This is a strange Christmas Season for me but being about to enjoy this little chat certainly helps and is much appreciated. Thank you. Incidentally, I too have a extensive background in the Martial Arts. In fact, I taught as a State Instructor for many years before doing my current teaching gig in aquatics. I too will be having a quiet relaxing Christmas, with dinner with parents, visiting my Mother and Father in-law in the later afternoon, and probably popping round the corner to my Brother and Sister in-laws for a few nibbles and a drink in the evening. Fantastic Jens! I practiced and eventually taught Aikido but added to that aspects of Krav Maga, which I loved although there was too much emphasis on disarming gunmen, for my liking. I practiced a reality based self defence, in my very early forties and I tried my hand at a little MMA training too but those young guys were too good. Other than that, if there was a demo or a chance to try something I had a go. I was a great one for asking "are you sure that works? Show me". Doh! All the very best, mate. Merry Christmas.

I love the country and to travel there. I am lucky that we have very strong connections to the main dojo of our association. (JKA) we practice there always when we are in Japan. It's great to train with that professional teachers. And to talk later at drinking 😁 hope you had a great Christmas! Jens
Ah - yes. The after training drink is a very important part of martial arts training 😉 If I was well, I would be training again. I know I'm 55 and a physical wreck but I'd love to try Judo. Good times 😃
