- The Heritage Gibbs really is an effective razor for me! The brush today really is very good, with a Pure Bliss synthetic knot sold through APShaveCo. I'm interested to see how this one develops after a few shaves. The shaving soap from Mr. Murray's Grooming Products is, as always, another superbly scented, quality soap from Graham in Scotland! Och aye 😀

I certainly like the new Bliss knot from AP Shave, I also have the 24mm, nice and soft tips with not too much backbone, it looks a little like a black Badger, I find many of the "G' synthetic knots have too much backbone for me but not the Bliss, it feels just right. 👌🤠👌
I'm getting that feeling about the G knots, in general. I won't be trying the G5C, that's for sure. Take care, mate.

The only thing I worry about, is that if you start redecorating the kitchen at some point, you'll need a new third place to shave.
Perhaps, a bathroom at a nearby restaurant, or in a park with a fountain that you can use as a water supply? 😜
OMG. There's no chance of that Steve. Although, there is always outside with the hosepipe. There are seven spray settings on it! 😃

Hi Mark. Your remarks about outdoor toilets were interesting. I've never lived in a house like that but I did stay the night at a house with an outdoor loo. That would have only been in the early 1990's believe it or not. Of course I needed to go in the middle of the night and had to venture outside. Opening the wooden door to the toilet and finding no electric light inside was definitely an adventure!
I was on a visit to Morpeth in Northumberland last week. A town fairly close to where I live. They have an Oxfam store and it's always worth a look. I found a milk white glass shaving mug by Old Spice/Shulton with the Friendship sailing ship printed on the side. It also came supplied with the lovely red plastic lid. They wanted £9.99 and I thought that was a fair deal. So, I got it.
Lovely shave today, Mark, and I liked the Heritage Gibbs. It would be a nice razor for travelling, I think.
Hi David. I used to go out with a girl in the 80's and her Mam lived in an old cottage with only the outside loo. The spiders that lived there were fecking horrendous 😁 That's a good price for the Old Spice mug; they don't always come with the plastic lid so you did well there. Have a lovely weekend, mate.

Yes and yes! Or perhaps not 😂 I've settled in nicely to the kitchen shave space. I can't wait for the fellow to come and decorate, next month.

It was really nice to see the Gibbs Heritage razor in action. It had such a tumultuous back story too. And the shave looked really great. Very nice products indeed. The APShaveCo brushes are great value and great quality. I really like the ones I bought following your recommendation. And lastly the soap did very well too !! Thank you very much Mark once again for sharing your shave. Its a great start to the weekend !!!
