Worked here too. How about a reissue of National Geographics "The Science of Genius". The last issue was Albert Einstein but I think you qualify. Whatchu think, I can contact them on your behalf?
I tried your solution (push pin) and it worked! My Keurig wouldn’t work and it was 6:32 AM and I was about to have to go to work without coffee. God only knows how many lives you saved today by facilitating my caffeine infusion and preventing my ceaseless rage upon my coworkers and subordinates. Thank you!
tried all the other videos to solve the problem........this one did the trick.......used a toothpick to clean..............thank you suzan24k.........you are 24k gold!!!!!!!!
I wish I had thought to check RUclips yesterday! My Keurig was giving me the same message, I tried everything except using the pin....I went a whole 24 hrs without coffee! I currently have a new Keurig in my amazon cart...so I will be up bright and early in the morning to try this! Hope it works for me as well! 🙏🏽☕😋 thanks for sharing! Update: it worked!!! Sitting here now enjoying my cup of coffee! Ty! ☕😋
So so happy it worked for you! I know you deleted that amazon cart with the new Keurig. Good for you. Saving landfills all over one Keurig at a time. LOL
After using the push-pin, I followed up with the "opened" end of a small paper clip, and it cleaned a lot more grounds out of the needle. THANK YOU for posting this video!!
I have the Keurig 2.0. I took all the loose parts out. Soaked in vinegar and hot water. Then, scrubbed each item. As well as wiped the inside of the machine. Where the part comes out. Used a little vinegar and hot water for that also. When soaking the pieces, you'll see it's getting cleaned when you see vinegar bubbles in your water/vinegar solution. I washed with soap and rinsed all parts over and over, rinsed with hot water. I crossed my fingers and put all the pieces back. Making sure, when I removed the needle to point the needle in the direction, I found it. PS: I was this close to throwing it in the trash. But she's a working. Yippee! Thank you for your video. 🤗
Wow. It actually works! 😦 I was skeptical. I had already done the entire cleaning before finding this video. But because of the many positive comments, I decided to try it. Pushpin and all! And behold! It works!!
I used a round wooden toothpick and it worked great. So glad I came across this fabulous minimalistic video. I saw the thumbnail for another and it said clear the error in 1 minute with a 14 minute long video.
I skipped the vinegar and went straight to cleaning the needle because I had just descaled and changed the filter less than 2 weeks ago. I cleaned both the needles and STILL got the message so as a last-ditch effort I put the vinegar in AND IT WORKED!!! Thank you very much! The office thanks you since it was an office machine!!
thank you very much today it broke down and I can't live without coffee I bought a new one but I found your video and it helped me a lot it works thank you very much.
The push pin helped the problem! Thank you!! It was dispensing water, but it would bring up this message whenever a Keurig cup went in, so I was skeptical at first.
Thank you so much. Was dying for a cup of coffee and was starting to get frustrated with the machine, but it worked perfectly as soon as I cleaned the needle. Didn't have a push pin, but a toothpick worked just fine. Now I can drink in peace lol
Thank you! Your instructional video was helpful in guiding me through the process of maintenancing and cleaning our Keurig 2.0's needle. Because of your video, our Keurig 2.0 is fully operational again, brewing coffee and tea to our heart's content. ☺
Hope you’re still getting these messages. I watched the keurig official video until I thought I was crazy. I watched yours and in less than a minute I had a working machine! Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
Thank you so much. I had called in to the Keurig number but they refused to even start to help me without me giving them my name, address, email, etc. I appreciate you putting this out there to help when they would not.
You're welcome. I remember when my Keurig got this message and how LONG it took to fix it. I figured I will record a few things along the way and when I got it working, I would make a video for you and others like me. It shouldn't take a long time to do this or learn this. Ain't nobody got time for that!
Thank you for the video! My mom was running late for work and didn't have time to mess with the machine. Instead of a push pin, I used a toothpick that was broke in half (makes it thinner) and the machine was working again
it tooknawhile till i found the hole in the sback needle, but tucked the pin up and came out with coffee, that were stuck on the inside. and voilà! my machine works again! thank you!
I had the same problem, called Keurig, cleaned it, ran several tanks of water through without a k-cup. Same result! Now my land fill has another addition. I think that $200 would have been more useful if I would have thrown it in the fireplace to keep me warm in the winter.
Didn't work for me, but I used a flexible straw, placed it over the needle and sucked out the clump of coffee grounds. Did it once, got some, hit the button to start without a pod in, did it again and got the rest! Fixed it!
@@suzan24k So what was it that the tack pin cleared? To me it doesn't make sense that the water feed would be blocked. How often do you need to clear your kitchen faucet? It's the drain lines that should be blocked - if ever.
@@halan236 , Believe it or not, the tack usually clears coffee that was thrust up into the water feed needle. Potentially, it can clear calcium or other water mineral deposit build-up. I found some k-cups are more pressurized than others and cause more problems. K-cup pressure variability is probably based on the altitude pressure difference of where the k-cup was produced and subsequently consumed.
This worked for me. I couldn't find a push pin so I used a small safety pin. Black stuff came out in the first couple of cups. I ran a whole tank of vinegar water thru after it unplugged. Then I had to run a few cups of clear water thru to get rid of the vinegar taste. Now all is working well.
Glad the video helped. I made effort to make a short and direct video. I thought it might have been just a little longer than it needed to be. Happy coffee drinking.
Thank you so much for the tip. My 2.0 was doing the same exact thing and I tried using a thumbtack but the needle wasn't long enough so I opened up a paper clip and used it and pushed it all the way into the needle hole and it works perfect
Suzan, thank you for this video. This little tip is not in the Keurig instruction booklet. I suppose they want you to buy a new one. My Keurig is approx 15 years old and has been great. Cheers from Canada 🖐🙂
Mine had this same problem last year and I ended up taking all the removeable elements out and cleaning them using a needle which restored the water flow. It is now time to do the cleaning all over again
Removing the water filter and then cleaning the needle with the cleaning tool worked for me. I think the filter that I had installed several months earlier was the real culprit. I use filtered water already so the Keurig filter added little (if any) additional value. I only used it to avoid throwing it into the trash outright.
There's actually a rubber gasket that I just removed around both needles and that helped as well. Its not glued or anything. Just use ur fingers and pull it down and off the needles.
This worked perfectly for me, even with my two needles. I just poked in both of them with a paper clip. Thank you because I really didn't want to order and then wait for the needle maintenance accessory.
Might be the pods, I see this quite often. Clean and check the needles, Descale, flush thoroughly. Unable to remove needles (which would help) to clean them. Still get the brewer interrupted message. Tried (at suggestion) to poke a hole to release pressure on the pod. Sometimes it works.
I tried this and it didn't work. I called Keurig. I then remembered my brewer came with a needle cleaning tool and they walked me through how to use it. That did the trick. I am glad I called them because I was getting ready to throw the thing out.
Worked like a charm. I've contacted Time magazine to have them place you on the cover for next year.
Have you contacted Time Magazine yet? This could be my favorite comment. Peace!
Worked like a charm for me, too!
@@suzan24k Did it again, Keurig still running through coffee and coco pods like it was brand new. Still trying to get you on the cover of Time.

You cracked me up! Glad it could help.
fer nando no kidding!!!
This may be old, but thank you so much for posting this! It worked like a charm 👍
This older video still helping people is a good thing 😍
Thank you for the information. I used a straightened paper clip to stick in the needle on the top of the unit. And it worked!
Easy peasy when you know what to do! Glad it worked.
low-key couldn't figure out why my grandmas coffee maker stopped working an this somehow helped me fix it ....
YOUR A HERO. THANK YOU SO MUCH, IT WORKED, I BYPASSED THE VINEGAR STEP AND TRIED THE CLEANING NEEDLE STEP NO MORE ISSUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WooHoo! Yea! Coffee! We need coffee!
Thank you! I took a paperclip and cleaned the needle instead of a push pin 😊
Great substitute with a paperclip. Keurig on!
And the Nobel peace prize goes to....
Cute. Thank you. Glad it worked for you.
The needle was the problem for me also, The push pin worked!! Thank you so much!
You saved me. I had no idea what was going on with my Keurig. Didn't have the orange thing. The push pin worked great. Thanks again for the help. 👍
Pushpin for the win! Yes!!!
I used a needle, a Dentek interdental cleaner, and compressed air - works like a charm now.
Thank you. I cleared the needle and was able to finish running the hot water cycle.
Thank you so much. We almost threw the machine away, and found your video. It worked.

Thank you! Even 5 yrs later it still works!

Excellent! Glad it was so simple.

Thanks a ton! You saved my keurig and saved me money!
Thank you! The needle point cleaning tip worked like a charm!
You are amazing!!!! Thank you so much for saving my mental state with this video👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Great news!
Thank you so much! Cleaning the needle worked like a charm. (don't try the vinegar though..too much work to get taste out)
Good points and don’t do vinegar first. Fortunately, I did not put a lot of vinegar and its taste didn’t linger.
You just saved me 200.00. Thank you. This worked perfectly!
You're welcome!
Omfg thank you so much this is my dads coffee maker and it was doing exactly what yours was and I did exactly what you did and it worked
You need to be given literal sainthood 💖💖💖💖
Another reason for the high pressure message is the lower needle breaking off. A new part is around $35CAD.
