- Although Tim has been collecting toys for nearly 40 years, he is still just as keen on adding new items to the collection as ever, and any trip abroad is a good excuse for seeking out new and interesting items. During October 2013, Tim spent some time in Boston and New York, and found a number of intriguing items that caught his eye. Here he shares some of the best ones...
Sorry for the long gap since we last posted a video. We have all been busy working on the Grand Illusions Christmas Catalogue. We should be able to share a link next time we post a video.
"Extraordinary" "spectacular" "sensible" "wonderful" "astonishing" "fascinating"
His choice of words gets me every time.
Well done. very witty post sir. wonderful. extraordinary use of quotation I might add. Fascinating choice of profile art. is that a stock image? very sensible.
Carlos Basilio, what a lovely idea
Carlos Basilio clever one
Carlos Basilio I know right it's gets hilarious in the poop toy video.
*extrordinry
Tim stores his toys in suitcases, and they are organised by the year of purchase.
Who are you
I’m officially the second reply to this comment
Ilya Bruh and I’m officially the 3rd (●’◡’●)ノ

Ay fifth
These videos are strangely addicting and I don't know what to do with my life anymore
Meg The Bookworm FR
I am hooked
Yea I seen your comment 5 years ago and didnt reply cuz I'm a baby
I know I’m not even sure what I’m watching but I can’t stop.
“Addicting” 🙄
This is the museum!!
So that puzzle at the end is pretty much designed so you can't loose a piece.......and Tim lost the entire puzzle! 😂
I didn't realize that well Tim is a kid at heart kids tend to lose things XD
@Matrix29bear Read that in Tim's voice.
I am addicted to these videos.
"And the mask goes like this
heHEHEHEHEHEHehehe
Yes well, it passes."
"there's all the even numbers"
I think the "water" he drank at the beginning wasn't water.
Vodka of the Nile
+Karkenou 1 3 5 7 9 11 xD
+corvetteguy91
Okay, now that made me laugh way too hard.
+Karkenou No one says "cheers" for water.
True it was not normal water, it came from the nile
the little japanese message(”おめでとう”)means "congrats"
Your name means "female bear" in Portuguese
0:52 "water from the nile"
+rockerseven xD
"Heh"
what does this meannnn
***** found it
thank you
+Jonathan Dunlop My guess is that inside were a bunch of pockets that went up and down (think of a cutaway of a toilet bowl) and water couldn't pour into the main bowl until the water that was already in there was poured out.
8:40
"lot of fun for geometrists''
those geometrists are real party animals, huh?...
Who knows what goes on at those "puzzle parties"
You guys never watched Eyes Wide shout? The puzzle part is one of the most famous scenes.
Dusty Rhodes 😂😂😂
The spoon is probably for cereal.
I've been looking at these videos for 2 days. How the hell do I escape?
"Unfortunately, there is no escape; but, it is indeed hoped, that during your interim here, you will remain delighted to the utmost. Cheerio" is what I suspect would be his answer to your question
its his voice i was waching this every day 24/7
Try TommyEdisonXP
You don’t
😂
these videos are suprizingly satisfying
I want to visit this guy and marvel at all his belongings. He has to have the coolest things on the planet.
Why am I still watching these?! So mesmerizing, like an episode of 'How it's Made'
he seems so jolly yet so sad
that sadness you perceive, Is merely his solemn British constitution.
I wonder if he’s married?
@@Ibreakthingz pray to God he is married to a good woman.
Karen took the kids but at least she dident take his toys
That is a symptom of his OCD
I'm starting to understand why Tim is so fascinated by Japan. A lot of his coolest stuff comes from there.
This guy's videos make me so happy and calm.
I love this channel so much, thank you for posting these resplendent videos.
2:40 is the most wholesome thing you’ve seen all day.
I love how you seem comically disinterested immediately after showing the current curio's effect adding to me what sound like sarcastic comments such as "wow what a piece".
Absolutely brilliant.
Love your eccentricity Tim, keep up the good work.
My children and I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for posting them.
It's nice to wake up in the morning, make a cup of coffee, and see one of your guy's videos in my subscription box.
The more time goes on, the more I'm sure this is the best thing on RUclips.
"like a snail uncoiling"
wat?
Geredd Hayes It began as a snail shape, and uncoils as if a snail is uncoiling. If a snail could uncoil that is.
This showed up in my RUclips recommendation.
Thank you. I'm in love
oh wow, that little jigsaw puzzle was the best thing!
'highly developed electronics' some LED's light up and happy birthday starts playing... I cracked up :')
I get a smile on my face when i see you guys in my subs.
even on my worse day this guy makes me smile, great video!
"Hahaha. Well, it passes"
To everyone reading this:
" You 0:38 "
Clever girl
I watch his videos and think "why don't I ever see these things?" and then he makes a trip to America and in 8 days he found more than i could in a year.
Hats off to you sir
So sad that Tim didn’t pull out an m1911, a true American toy!
“Fascinating little thing”
"...and this last item I have here is called an... m1911, I believe it's called. Wonderful little thing, I must say. Fires what they call a fourty-five, uhm, ACP, or something. I only tried it once so far, my word is it loud! Such a lovely and American toy, I do enjoy it quite a lot! Heh!"
This left me with a happy feeling.
How about a glass that lights up when someone slips a roofie in your drink? Seriously, good idea. Don't ask me how though.
Students at North Carolina State University made a nail Polish women can wear and when they put their finger tip into their drink, the Polish changes colors when exposed to several date rape drugs.
www.newsobserver.com/news/local/crime/article10042145.html
+Michael Williams nice! Could almost catch the bastard in the act.
That’s basically impossible... you’d have to have a glass that would somehow constantly be chemically analyzing the liquid in the glass and referencing the contents through a database of known roofie compounds... that just isn’t something you could make.
@@plexus youre overthinking it massively. You could easily just have it change colors chemically in response to if its been roofied
1 MILLION TO THIS ADORABLE OLD MAN
I like it when his videos are longer and he has more to show!
I remember those interactive birthday cards from Japan. I was having the crappest week and my family Hong Kong sent me one. Cried because it made me so happy.
the last thing the Japanese card says is congratulations
Thanks for another incredible video!
I love this channel, it has so much interesting stuff in it.
I'd love to be with Tim when he's shopping for this stuff. I bet it's so much fun
He never changes
Amazing!
Love the light up glass.
Boston, NY is such a tiny little town! Nice that you can find stuff like this there.
6:41 Oh Tim, really shows how much of a child you are at heart!
8:10 I like it when Tim says "I like it very well" he even says it in some of his other videos, its like an Easter Egg. Ooh its exciting.
I wish he was my grand father.
Thanks Tim!
Watching him take apart the puzzle hurt me inside, that's never going back together
it will
I would have liked to seen him put it back together again as well!
Zach_in_black 13 when Tim doesn't have television, something tells me he's enjoy solving the puzzle over again
Wow, that last one caught me off guard. Awesome finds!
That Star Cube is lovely and I need one asap!
I'm glad that people like Hendrick exist. I feel proud of humanity for once.
these video are fantastic - well designed thoughtful toys.
Threw back that vodka like a champ
A tour around the archives would be really fun!
Tim
God he is overusing the words - Elegant and extraordinary...
I'm from the US and I have never seen such things. I want the watch so badly! So neat!
Mrs. Yellow_Ledbetter you can get one from thinkgeek :)
On the ruler.. He said even numbers with such confidence and intelligence, that for one moment, those odd Numbers where truly even.
Would love to pick up one of those snail lights. Be a nice little addition to my travel bag.
those cube things are really confusing to look at on a 2D plane (read: computer screen)
ikr
+Exploding Crow That second one. My brain is ouch.
the light torch and the puzzle were my favourite :)
Also, that cup is AWESOME. I want one.
Tim is my hero.
Was the water you put in the light up glass from the Nile?
JayPG Hahaha XD
If you don't get this watch Tim's video on vases
GearsofFallen Who was your comment for? No one was confused.
JayPG I'm honestly glad someone finally said. I never u understood why people said this in his comments
another lovely video, i never expected any less ^^
That puzzle is really quite practical. You never ruin the puzzle by losing one of the pieces.
your grand sons/daughter must love you
Sounds like a great trip out.
When the passes a moment of silence will be held every day for a hour
this channel reminds me of the antiques roadshow
I like these longer videos.
Can we just get a video of Tim solving some of his puzzles?
What a lovely man!
Wow! What a piece
I love seeing this, could you do some more older toys. Maybe do a decades week where you show toys of each decade starting from the 60's.
The spoon-straw... Something 7-11 has made since the invention of the slurpy, though that version is more complex, more expensive, etc etc.
this guy is right up my alley. i love buying stupid lil shit that everyone i know dont give a second thought to but i get amazed by
I love Tim's toys
You know how you can't imagine a tesseract? Well, Tim closing and opening that cube has that weird effect, because of the 2D screen.
Erik István Fejes ... uuuuuh... not really... not really the same thing at all... the shapes are merely swishing so it seems distorted... nowhere near the same effect of picturing the 3D shadow of a 4D shape, which is what a tesseract is.
That light is pretty neat actually.
Tim's museum is better than a normal museum. Because you get your own personal tour from its creator.
The snail light is really cool ! :)
His facial expression at 2:40 is priceless...this guy is unreal
Your back! I like the light up glass and the birthday cards.I don't know if this is true on not, but that puzzle looks a little harder than not being one big piece, maybe not.
I'm gonna miss this guy when he's gone.
Tim's favourite word is "extraordinary".
the torch is amazing.
Japanese cards are amazing gifts themselves
Toys and gadgets are fun for everyone.
My daily dose of asmr.
1,3,5,7,9 and 11 are now even numbers
And then the top keep spining forever. He realize this is a dream!
So that's what Tim's been up to!
damn, that cube thing was trippy
USA Trips! I love em.
