      Learn the last 4 minutes of a song called Deliverance by the band Opeth, and play the bass notes "lazy" with both feet, no single foot strokes. It's fun and good practice for a beginner to double bass pedals. Love your vids by the way. Keep it going!

      I would suggest playing it by sound first, get comfortable with it, then change with the sheet later. Nobody learns anything the same, so finding YOUR pattern first helps. Also, find your comfort zone sitting at the set! Again, nobody learns exactly the same, so find your throne threshold, get your own groove on, then pick up whachu can. Nice work on Bleed BTDubs!

      I took me a month to somewhat learn it(I was learning this pattern for esoteric surgery by gojira) I only needed to play it for a few seconds and it was at a slower speed so it didn't take me long. But it took me a few more months to be conformable with it and actually play the beginning to bleed.👌😈now I can play a few polyrhythms over it

He also said keeping it at a slightly slower than an "as fast as you can go" pace keeping the timing/hits consistent for as long as possible helps with stamina. He always told me if you could get consistency, timing and stamina developed well it makes learning more complex things later on much easier. He also recommends learning jazz rhythms, said id be surprised how well knowledge of jazz playing translates to other genres. In combination with other practice methods of course

    To warm up my legs I play stepmania for a few minutes on a slightly-too-difficult song. If that’s not an option, I play immigrant song but line up my kick drum with the bass guitar line.
    My hands warmup usually takes longer, but you have really good chops so it’s probably not necessary.

    The pattern morphs as the song goes, it's only triplet one triplet one triplet one for the very beginning then it moves to triplet one two triplet one two, and continuing goes back and forth as the song goes it's truly amazing.

    • @TripleTSingt
      @TripleTSingt 3 года назад +1

      its not a triplet. A triplet means that there are 3 notes of the same length for every 1 of the note value above. So 3 quarter triplets per 1 half note. These are 2 32nds, followed by 2 16ths, so 3 16ths or a dotted 8th in total. Triplets wouldn't "move" over the bar line, like this dotted rhythm does.
