He rode home in shock ....later he told me his leg was flapping and clicking ( the broken pieces of bone) 2 years on he is still healing and has a long way to go. As his mother I'll never understand how he rode home in that state. Pain I think puts you into shock and then fight or flight mode.

He can’t talk, and move his eyes properly now. So he’s basically blind, and one of his ears don’t work, and he lost all his memories. So sadly he didn’t recognize me at the hospital. I hit a van on my bike last Friday; pulled out of a junction after he made eye contact with me. I swerved as I had 3 choices to make; go far right and have a head on collision with oncoming traffic, go left and therefore clip the curb where my motorbike would hit pedestrians or swerve a little to the right and hit the bonnet of the van and hopefully get side swiped off. I obviously went for the 3rd option.
Broken shoulder and broken back but luckily nothing other than that. I've always said it could be worse and this is an example. Hardly any cuts and just 1 bug bruise

He wasn't, they immediately cut your clothes off so they can find your injuries and start treatment

Barbara Dyson Because it’s a complex case. Lots of different roles needed and help to stabilise the patient. As it says life or death!

Because that's how many doctors ot takes to help a very injured patient.... what a silly question.....??? I'm confused as to why you are even questioning it.. you obviously have never been hurt to the point you need this help. I had a motorbike crash 3 years ago where I broke my pelvis and snapped my spine. On my arrival at the regions major traumer unit I arrived to around 15-25 traumer doctors who saved my life. How can you even question this?? Silly lady!
