Jessica you need to create photography hacks that ACTUALLY WORK. I would love to try yours out 💕
She did a video about photography tricks long time ago :)
She does have those. Look them up on her channel
@@jacobnathanielzpayag3885 exactly
please!!
Literally! I love her
Laughed soo hard at the first result of the eye micro shot xD
meee too, I was dead xD
LOOOOL
ME TOOOOOOOOO kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk was like a monster
*macro shot
And I just finished Abs workout so you can imagine how hard it was to laugh
I tried the water thing and still to this day my iPhone lens is damaged 🤩
it does work
it does u just need to get closer legit lens in the eye type-a close
Sorry, that sucks!❤ yeah, it might work CoolKid & MartinFrost but she proved with the catch light that the hack girl didn't use that method
How did you damage it?
I’ve tried it and if u get really close and have flash on it actually works
Jessica Kobeissi exposing 5 minute crafts for 14 minutes straight.😭💜
Lol
I know right!
As a high school photography and digital arts teacher, my students show me TikTok vids all the time and it's frustrating because like your video exposed, it's not always w/ those results they show! Reminds me of when Guitar Hero was popular and would-be guitarists thought they could play an actual guitar the same way! In contrast, I have started a TikTok account to further connect w/students but it'll be authentic. Thank you for this! Btw, I show some of your vids in my class. 😊📷
What’s your TikTok tho?
5:58 Completely agree with you Jessica, that was definitely photoshopped as you proved. Doesn't look like lens blur at all. There's also no way the leaf would look that bright brown when placed this close to the lens, it would look much darker. The "filter" effect didn't even look good in the example they showed anyway 😂😂😂
Try the leaf trick with a camera and f1.8 or f2 of aperture. Zoom to the max also helps the effect.
"5minute crafts are you nervous? You should be" 😂😂😂😂
The “Leaf Hack” works well with flower petals. They’re very thin and light passes easily. You get a nice pretty pink thing on the edges of the photo. I used it a lot in my portraits when I used to do photography.
When that first eye photo popped up on the screen, I died :D
fave youtuber
Same
That "Okay" for her first eye pic had me completely fooled and laughing out loud!
Is it just me or do we all find her videos super calming! I mean I will binge watch it anytime of the day! Whenever m like not in a mood to talk shez like so cheerful! ❣️❣️❣️❣️
When she said I should work for NASA I started cracking up for no reason 😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Through the lens of a professional photographer" sounds like a great series about how we could up our game in our own non-professional pics. 😁❤💙🍀
So nice to see you on a more casual video! Yet still creative and so much fun to watch 👏👏👏 keep up the great work!
Who else lost it at Jess trying to get that shirt on. Probably one of the funniest and cutest things I've seen in a while. The ultimate girl crush!
💖😂😂😂 I LOVE how detailed you were about the filter being added in photoshop lolol
I loved the way how you explained video 😍😍
Everyone is doing scam for their likes and followers 😔
Maybe their channel should be called "5 minute crap" instead of "5 minute crafts", because it's all just BS.
Actually some of them do work. But they tend to reuse so many clips and have to sift through crap that it can seem like it's not worth it.
I been watching you for a few days and I just realized I wasn’t sub to you, my bad girl you deserve all my support. Thank you for the great content.
and THIS is why I follow you, you're 100% you and no hacks bs!
Omg! You just taught me to use the volume button to take pictures! That's awesome, thanks for this video I will use this every time.
Jessica let’s just consider you first eye photo as abstract art 😂😂😂
Special Agent Kobeissi is on the case. Jessica, you are hilarious, you had me laughing so much, thank you. 👍
at 9:38 I thought you actually got a decent shot, and then I started dying afterwards😂
Eric Williams same hahahahahahahahaha
now I need to try this😂
That empty look when she says *"I have a lot of free time today"* 😂
The leaf one prob would have worked on a dslr with a lens with a shallow enough depth of field🤷🏻♂️
Lol
it kinda works with my tamron 18-270 if i zoom in all the way xD get that effect sometimes on accident.
Photoshop thing still debunks it and the purpose of 5 minute crafts is that anyone can do it with everyday things, so if it's got to be that specific it's still a scam xD
I use this hack all the time in my photography actually and it works great with my camera
yeah lmao Brandon does this all the time. Idk why Jessica didn't think it was legit
Died over the smiley face after you proved the Photoshop thing lol
"Woow I'm looking gorgeus". Love it😂😂😂
My fav photographer n photography channel
I have had photographers use leafs for a flare effect though. Also a prism and all kinds of other objects
Yeah that works because you are using a fast lens ( not a phone camera) and the object close to the camera is massively out of focus, so gives a strip of colour, the crystals need a seperate light source and refracts the light giving light leaks into the lense.
Natalia Taylor made the first one work! Would love to hear your thoughts :)
Oh my goodness I love your videos I get so excited when you post lol
This was awesome!! Good chuckle seeing you try these stunts. Lol
Love your videos!! Also you look like Idina Menzel!!!
I like to do the trick with the leaf but with flower. Is it see through? NO. There will be blur from part of flower but most of them are solid color.
The leaf thing does work with dry yellow leaves
for the leaf part, if you used a dslr like what they used in the video, then a prime lens, it would actually kinda work. im an amateur photographer and i’ve tried it.
You should try the trick with the leaf again. But with a real camera, with a wide open lens. Then it should work
9:35 the best shot lmao
That was hilarious. Your demeanour really made this video 😂
I have seen other bloggers do the cardboard on the ceiling trick and it's actually worked really well! Gotta just give it a little effort and it's a cool hack!
A drop on camera actually works as a simple low-quality microscope. You need to be very close to the object (1cm or even less). The smaller the drop, the higher is the magnification. Good light is of course the best helper.
Caution: Be careful and put water accurately in the middle of the camera glass, so it is not leaking inside. If it leaks it can cause phone damage.
Your videos make me so relaxed
I'm loving the attitude girl!✨💛
Totally binging your videos tonight!!! Love you Gurl!!!
you make Photography channel SO fun and interesting!!!!
bringing the fun back into learning- nice work jessica - i loved it
On that last one, I've seen wedding photographers use that trick with the bride's veil!
This video makes me freaking happy:) cause everybody says oh look at this amazing photo with this and i look them whhhhhhhat that's fake
I'm the best person for this because I'm a professional photog - NOPE - because I always wanted to be an investigator/detective. Yes Jessica we stan that❤😂
"I learned a lot about myself" 😂🙈
Your commentary for the lace shirts. 🤣 awesome!
I've always wanted to see you actually test these hacks!
I really enjoyed this video. N yes more hacks that actually work
Now I’m ready to enter the world of professional photography
LMAO, this video, hahahahhahahha.
I love you Jessica ans your realness, omg... your work is amazing!
Love your wit girl (and your knowledge)
I’ve done the eye thing before- idk if it’s much better than it would be without the water but it works
THE WATER DROP ONE WORKS IVE DONE IT BEFORRREEEE IT ZOOMS IT IN LIKE A MICROSCOPE ITS SO COOL
I used flash on mine tho
The lace thing kinda works when it's a large piece of cloth and with some harsh light to create lace kinda shadow. I have seen a couple of self portrait where amature photographers did that, and it turned out cute for Instagram. But you CANNOT do that with a tiny top. Maybe it'll look good near some window with lace curtain.
And the ceiling thing also works. But you need those Bluetooth remote and you need to click like a 100 photos in different positions as with every photography. But it works. One downside is, you need to use strong tapes to hold the weight of the phone and that can rip of paint
“They get like super glue and they like construct a building and they take a frying pan and, you know, build a car with it” 😂😂😂😂
This is the funniest photography video on RUclips and you can’t convince me otherwise
You're hilarious, the best one with the tops 😂
😂😂😂that leaf multiply part made me give you a thumbs up, so acurate! Haha
I'm going to try the water drop thing now
K that was demonic
I have held an opalite infront of my phone lense and it actually does make a cool looking filter. Yellow while the stone is blue/white.
It's a lab made mineral. It's a kind of glass
I’m so happy you busted these myths 🤟
The box/flashlight hack actually gives a little light to the side if the face. But,it has to be white, not brown like Jessica used.
Sure,it's not the perfect thing to bounce light of of,but it might work when you have nothing else.
The scotch tape from 3M and the Target store you bought it from, both Minnesota companies you’re showcasing there.
Grateful dead tshirt!? I have alot of difficulty trying to read your shirt through your hair lol! But I love these band tees!
I love how Jessica react to those photo hacks haha
The water drop actually does work as a zoom And you can use it as a magnifying glass by reflecting light. It just kinda stupid to do because water move around allot so make it unstable and hard to use.
I like this girl, she is so natural and funny :D
The leaf one...a photographer friend of mine tried it during a shoot...it didn't really do much
Eres la mejor ❤️❤️
Jessica looking gorgeous as always! you go girl ❤
Thanks for trying these out.
Very entertaining! I wonder what the eye shot would have looked like without the water -- it seems like the water was supposed to act as a magnifier, but the shots looked like just your eye close up.
Something fun about these hacks..cause unlike professionally..lay person like me can come up with something creative and it works too... that's because I can't afford high end gears.. but professional ones are their own.. I won't or maybe can't compare it with professionals.. they're always no.1❤️
I love all yours videos :)
Would the filet o fish box thing work better of you used a white box instead of a brown one? Not that it would work anything like the jack photo but I think you needed to have a white box.
That lace one is actually cute!
Jessica is not only a professional photographer but also a pro detective😂
Test 1 worked, for no real friends or loner in real life!
Test 2 was a fail from the get-go the fish fillet box needed to be white and reflective not cardboard brown, but it is fake anyway. A much more Lum Flashlight is also needed. Also, the cool color of the flashlight is a problem that needs to be fixed in the post. It did light up your face!
Test 3 definitely doesn't work with a dark brown leaf or does it?, but try it with Shutter Drag ( slow shutter) and move the leaf before the shutter closes!😀
Also test 3 is a trick when shooting landscapes at a long shutter speed by using the camera strap to darken the sky by covering the lens to hide the sky so the camera is only recording the sky for less time than the foreground. It will take many shots to get it right but it works!
Test 4 She was using a smartphone clip-on ring light Maybe, that is why it looks like a horseshoe! This is not easy but yes water will magnify a lens but for $4.88 you can get those cheap clip-on camera lenses from Walmart and they do work but not the best optics.
Test 5 be near a window where the light is shining in!
Im not a fan of five minute craft but your debunking is not always correct.
Exactly! She approached the video in such a defensive manner. She didn't even put the phone horizontally in the first hack and she was way to quick to dismiss hacks that could work. I'm not saying that 5-minute craft isn't trash, it is, but not all the hacks are messed up. Brandon Woelfel, who's been on her channel several times, he himself uses the leaf hack to get colour flares on the corners of his pictures, I've used that hack and it works.
I like Jessica but she didn't put in the effort into this video and she was too quick to dismiss all of these tricks instead of actually trying them out properly. I don't mean that they aren't fake, some are, but it's not all trash like she's trying to say it.
I'm surprised more people didn't catch up to this and your comment has such low engagement.
@@legoEndeavourStudios I have to say her followers seem to believe she is perfect, I follow her but if I see something that's not correct or fair I will let ppl know. I agree 5 -minute craft is mostly trash and renamed repeats. I 100% agree about what you said! She didn't give it a fair try right off the bat she believed they would fail so they did for her.
Thank you for your kind words.
About not a lot of engagement for me, most people want unicorns and rainbows (The Fluff) not real talk.
I want to be supportive and help out hopefully if I start making youtube videos others will do the same for me. But if I make a mistake or I am unfair I want someone to do what I do by being honest when commenting.
Again, Thank you
Thanks Jessica I've been watching a couple of your old vid a seirsously your vids have been a life saver I'm really new to working with a pro camera and your vids have helped me a ton love your channel thanks❤️
I can’t even reach my ceiling without being on a ladder
I tried the lace photoshoot. The photos are bomb
I always enjoy these series : )
The leaf thing actually does work if you use an actual camera.
Yessss I love when you do these 😂❤
Wow. Amazing.
I did the eye photo for my physics class but I add a glass in the camera, then I add the water and actually really works and I had some great results
Been waiting on this girllll
MORE CONTENTS LIKE THIS PLS WE NEED A THE REAL TEA
The overhead shot could be feasible with a point and shoot camera with a flippy screen and remote control/smartphone trigger. Use a Filet O Fish box (preferably not the same one you just used) and make your holder so the flippy screen sticks out and you can see it. If the camera can be connected to a smartphone, do that. Hit the ten second timer, and bury the phone under a pillow. Boom. You got it. Might take a few shots but you'll get it.
The way the leaf could work is to take a long exposure on a SLR or DSLR and wave the leaf briefly in front. Was part of my experimental film course for my degree and looks nothing like what they show
I’ve done the lace thing with fabric not a sleeve and it worked.
Yesss yesss NASA really needs you 🙃🙃
u look so gorgeous🥺❣
