Scanner photography can be cool with the right composition and is still used in editorials with paints, plants make up with protective screens.

That heart cup trick looks cool, but you're right, you can't cast a sharp shadow from far away, and certainly not with only a cell phone light. If the tips are faked, they are useless.

Oh, FFS. That car wash one! I still have a scar on my hand from using a car wash hose 35 years ago and stupidly putting my hand in front of the water stream to scrub off my license plate. Unless they've changed them to be less lethal, they cut like a knife if you aim it directly at skin. Do NOT get in front of a car wash hose!
I bet the bokeh was photoshopped

Some of these have a good structure behind them, but the photos that were shown as results are not taken the way they are presented. YOu can even tell from the lighting and the background in them. Man, your videos on stuff like this are good entertainment! I just keep laughing. 😄
For your question at the end: I think the idea of using everyday objects is great. I’m not sure what ordinary objects you can use (like spoons) to create interesting photography. But I think just using any objects to, for example, frame a shot is interesting. But it often requires editing afterwards (like the toilet paper thing where the street markings behind her were removed). After all, you know the saying that the best camera is the one you have with you. Same with props and stuff to give it a different look I guess. 😀

Put the egg into a clear plastic bag and seal it shut before closing the top so you don't get the cut machine messy!

Those sand faces - they need some false teeth and glass eyes to make them freekier
Those toothpicks reach down to the pile of sunken oreos from earlier attempts. Just dump on a stack of oreos - you then don't run the risk of impaling yourself if you drink the coffee

The road/toilet paper one just made me think how unsafe to promote that on a channel aimed at kids (ie the original DIY channel, not this one, just to be clear). I do not want kids, or anyone, standing in the middle of a road for a good photo. Especially with a hill, turn, and fully drawn line like that, what if a car comes speeding?
The brick punch photo would be more convincing if they threw dust and debris into the middle where the brick "shatters". Also the girl doesn't look amused in that photo
