I had Castlevania vibes ever since the trailer. When Elm sorta sent dark threads and sorta sucked all the leafs of the trees and the grass scenes, it reminded me so much of Castlevania with the dark colors. But I guess the violin also sorta adds to this too and reminded me of Castlevania Judgement.
This book giving us that long awaited Askr and Embla lore has already set this book up to be something good. Even if the writing is terrible, even if it falls flat on its face, just being about these two countries alone just makes me optimistic. This book is going to be fun.

I really like that for this book we're going back to the game's roots with the Askr/Embla storyline and diving deeper into it. I feel like this time we'll learn more about not only Embla but also Askr's history, especially concerning Henriette. I feel like she'll have a part in this story in some way or another since her Valentine's special voicelines seemed to foreshadow something bigger. Maybe it could be a great twist like her being a daughter of Askr and thus holding massive power?
I just heard the epic violin from 1:27 for the very first time because the latest chain challenge was finally difficult enough for me to have played a map for more than 1 minute 27 seconds.
You know, the harmony supporting the main violin melody shares similarities to Veronica's theme which is a cool little nod. I guess this is some sort of Embla motif.

Book 1: standard fire emblem faire that is good Book 2: good times but with chanting that are still chaotic in a fun sense Book 3: dmc vibes with a waltz Book 4: Touhou vibes with a batshit crazy final boss theme Book 5: Steampunk Utopia themes that SLAP Book 6: Back to Touhou but this time we are of the higher class Man feh just is able to make every book stand out musically
So I already remixed this and the Boss theme and uploaded them both in less than 24 hours. But, I really do like this song a lot! It's a sleeper hit compared to the previous Map Themes we've had and I love it!

Book 2,3,4, and hopefully 6 will be the good ones so far. Book 1 was all setup with hardly any payoff, (Congrats, you found out who Bruno is and fought for a bit.) and Book 5 just kept on falling on its face near the ending. (No alternate Reginn to represent that she now had the dragon blessed sword? Really?)
