I am still annoyed over the fact that the Bow training map has tons of Melee units that can easily surround an archer and force you to either sit there and let your unit die or simply surrender.
Besides Ranged, I treat every other Training map as a Melee map. We need another ranged training map so i can stop putting in unequipped Dancers and Staff units just as filler/Auto training
14:48 - I remember they have a generic Wyvern Rider, which often have good Atk and high Def... and gave 'em Glacies, which runs off of the much comparatively lower Res stat Someone either had a goof or did a funny
I like how some maps are references to the main games. Just goes to show how recognizable some of them are. And one thing I don't think was touched upon are the early GHB maps. Some of them definitely feel like puzzle maps since we didn't have all the tools we have now. Sometimes the solution would be to bring a previous GHB Hero. For example female Robin's map was before Ursula's in rotation and Robin came with Gronnwolf and Blue Tomebreaker, making her a good choice to battle Ursula with.
I wonder if, at some point in the future, we could end up seeing ‘Neutral’ Divine Veins in PvE maps. As in, veins such as Haze or Green that affect both sides and don’t go away? I think there’s some potential there.
Shoutout to pheonixmaster1 for helping me with the tactic drills maps. Some i get but there are way to many that just don't click with me, and some of the drills can give a orb the first time
At the end I was expecting a short comment on the map design of some of the other side modes, specifically Mjolnir’s Strike. A deep dive into those side modes like Tap Battle, Grand Conquest, and Forging Bonds might make for an interesting future video to dissect the successful and failed experiments tweaking the FEH format.
I remember really loving Legion's bound hero battle with his clones. GHB maps back then were hell. Shoot even when Xander and Camus finally returned. I still got cooked. Also the final map in the 1st TT was hell. Personally didn't had trouble but I seen runs end badly. The special training maps am I the only one who thought and tried having a Save without a weapon and a unit your training with the opposite range and put it on auto for free SP only for the AI to deliberately throw and get trapped?
I don't use a saviour, but I usually do those trainings with 3 unarmed dancers. And yes, the AI loooooves trapping themselves. They always want to retreat in a dead corner, even if it means they're giving the enemy a free trap on the next turn... It's annoying having to babysit the AI on that. I've also had a case where the unarmed dancers would be the ones trapping an enemy and they wouldn't move out of the way to let the unit kill them, making them all stuck there forever. I found that so dumb.
I think Resonant Battles maps are somewhat influenced by the 'grind cash' DLC maps in Awakening/Fates. With the Thieves that never attack and just run away.
My only complaint with maps in current FEH is that they keep putting Veldt's map and similar middle fingers in Seer's Snare, to the point that I don't want to bring cavs anymore. Also that VG map with the tree and the ledges, it only serves to waste time if you don't bring a flier or an ally happens to be one.
I had no idea the Rival Domains maps didn't repeat. That's actually insane. If you asked me how many there were, I would've said maybe 20, not 300 lol. I guess there's only so many tile combinations you can come up with, so some feel identical after this many of them.
"let's stick a unit that turns off counter attacks and inflicts party wide debuffs without engagement, a unit that negates debuffs/status/bonus steal and has savior, a warp ninja that can jump you from the other side of the map, a bat unit that basically counters speed and melee builds, canto negate dragon unit behind a wall of bulky units. YOU CAN'T LOSE ONE UNIT Jesus Christ 😐
Continued from last comment. Fat-fingered the send button lol. ...Some more familiar to older players but surprisingly a lot more recent ones. One thing I don't see many videos talk about is the pity system. According to IS, once a summoner successfully, or unsuccessfully, goes 120 summons without a five star, the next circle will be a batch of five 5-star heroes at 100% pity, similar to a spark after 40 summons but not exactly. Unfortunately, whether they will be focus units will still be RNG, as one cannot reach focus charge prior to this obviously. That being said, it is very possible to achieve this after one has finished summoming aforementioned batch. The final pity will vary from banner to banner. As some gradients are as small as .25% and as big as .5%, and the weird .33% as seen on Hero Fest and 4-star special revival banners, both in the normal and special hero pool. I have yet to see anyone reach 20% on a Legendary/Mythic/Emblem banner, as that is what it will take to get all 5-star focuses on the next circle. The fact that it would be a near-impossible feat is a fair tradeoff, as one would need to spend 480 orbs and that is with full pulling making it very unlikely. 600 orbs at the most as singular YOLO summons. I've gotten double the amount of five stars with less than half of both these amounts. Would be a nice topic to talk more in-depth with some research and perhaps even some actual examples of summoners achieving this. Some of the older snapshots disappeared before 4-star specials were added.
IMO Reinhardt and Lyn completely ruined FEH map design. Every map had to have forest or trench tiles to slow everyone down and to stop them (or any cavalry unit) from being useful. This combined with extremely limited skill availability made cavs hand down the worst unit type in the game until very recently with OP bow cavs and Alphonse.
it may be unrelated to the maps but hold up is that loki with sutur in 8:28. as someone who doesn't care for the random assortment of organized letters that happen before you can finally play the map is loki really that old and just randomly kept being relevant even until now
why fire emblem heroes not have models 3d trio askr and have solo chibi sprites i hate chibi grafics and animations delete chibi sprites and add better grafics more big characthers please
They never even brought back the gacha animations for certain Heroes like Marth and Roy. I always liked the uniqueness that brought to rolling in gacha.
2:00 as a big fan of glory holes the idea of not knowing what im putting in my body sounds great actually.
Oh.
Im sorry huh?
so real for that one

You should really get Takumi
Why did it take until this video for me to learn that book 1 maps were references to the mainline games 😂. I only ever thought the LHB maps were

Ah yes, Lance fighter from Tactics drill Grandmaster 26 my beloved...
29:26 'largely inflated BST which is nigh impossible to achieve and most likely remain impossible'
Let's hope so, huh.
i told you these maps are rigged
I love having to jump through like 20 different hoops of artificial difficulty just for a Gold Hairpin
At least the gold helms are nice 🤷🏻
god some of those old arena maps just gave me ptsd
Same here.
Double wall map
At least one of the less obnoxious year 1 maps stayed while the worst ones got axed

13:38 In my opinion that's the best map simply for the chokepoint, just gotta remember the two pegasus units and its a easy farming experience

Huh never thought about that but it makes sense
The way you prove that you've been playing this game for a long fuckin time is by showing off your OG Virion
HE GOT A SPONSER! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Defensive terrain? I completely forgot that existed

Honestly, from my experience playing FEH, Book 8 Chapter 1, Part 5 was…funny to me. In fact, Emblem Celica can one turn it on Lunatic!🤣
"This can range from the desert map, to all those other maps that no one will ever use."

7:29 thats a THING?????????? WHAT
It's my first time hearing about it too. So when your units stand on those, they get bonuses to their defence and res? lol?
I seriously want to know sometimes what there thought process was when it comes to certain maps.

@@redshepherd32 the creator must've had a bad day
We need a new game mode with bigger maps that is actually challenging
Just found out about captain skills from this vid, as a feh player I don't read -___-

Some of the new years and the wind tribe maps have fates map refrances
Wait what? Who chokepoints training maps? Just auto battle with mystic boost seal on lol
Honestly one of the most worthwhile sacred seals to forge/enhance from the start
@@redshepherd32 Yeah as B slot it was always not very worth it but as seal it's one of the goat.

Yeah lol. She's been around since Book 2-ish. She originally released in ver. 2.10
Having played the game since launch I didn't know they switch from letting players get the best archer in game to a pineapple, lol😂
no way you are getting sponsired again bro wtf 😭
Yeah! Get that sponsorship money!
1:10 schezo!!!
Totally unrelated comment but you tend to cover some interesting quirks about the game. Some
I spotted my wife Chloé in the video! : D
Chloe weak ass. Should go for Panette since she has that juicy strenght lol.
I thought it was pretty cool when feh tried to be a fire emblem game but then they started doing all that oc mess
These maps smell ngl
