I can only somewhat agree with you there. Knowing these songs as a teenager (13/14 or so) is what showed me the world needs help. It's what got me into activism and such. These taught me about how much pain the world was seeing just like all the pain i had been going through. Will always be one of my favorite bands.

The gist of their lyrics in this song remind me of many of Linkin Park's songs, but as for Rise Against's use of instruments and the singer's voice, I agree, those parts are quite distinct.

But then I met my most precious and best friend in the world and he introduced me to this song. Now I am in very different spot. The gist of their lyrics in this song remind me of many of Linkin Park's songs, but as for Rise Against's use of instruments and the singer's voice, I agree, those parts are quite distinct.

Rise against are literally the same awesome band you loved them for when you were an angsty teen, except now you genuinely understand them.
