There won’t be anything game changing in sim racing any time soon. We basically already have everything you could ask for in this hobby. With AC Evo adding real world scanned maps free roam, it could potentially change the way we think about racing games. AC EVO could add a social part to the experience. Driving together on public roads based on real world data can add value to the social dimension. Imagine, you have a virtual garage close to the Nordschleife. You can expect your your car, then leave the garage and drive onto the public road. And then you could just drive to the track at an touristenfahrten day in the sim. It would be a full simulation of touristenfahrten. And you could differentiate touristenfahrten from trackdays. Having only roadlegal cars on Touristenfahrten and mixed cars of road legal and race cars on trackdays. Also adding some sort of ingame voice chat where you select people who you want to talk to while driving together. Yes, this could be potentially game changing. There is no other sim that offers a social experience and realistic physics with a huge variety of laser scanned tracks and real world roads in the world of racing games.
