I come back here after 6 years and after listening to such a masterpiece as The Summoning, still Nazareth has something special, the drop that made me instantly fall in love with the band, so unique, so precious.

Definitely agree. I love the latest songs, I discovered them through them, and now I'm looking for their older stuff. This drop has... something... special.
Discovered them with The Offering last year. Slowly learned to love that song. But I didn't like any of their other songs at first, and now, having done a deep dive into their stuff, these are my favorites:
1. The Offering
2. Nazareth
3. High Water
4. The Summoning
5. Gods
I also like to Higher, Jaws and Vore.
The deep dive has paid off. But tbh, Sleep Token songs are pretty deceiving when it comes to first impressions, especially because of their mostly progressive/buildup nature.

I for sure hope that mine will change a lot once the new record drops, but tbh, it has already changed. Last month was "Sleeptoken month" for me, because about 5 weeks ago, I had just started to listen to those songs every single day, some of them multiple times per day.
So now it is:
1. The Offering
It's such a classic. Addicted to it more or less since last fall. The melodies are just perfect, like the progression. Fav part is the second elongated chorus, when he's singing more and over the guitars. Also really dig the synth work in that sequence. Not to forget the heavy parts with the "unit" of a drummer haha. This is the most satisfying drums have ever been to me.
2. High Water
It's one of the most depressing and at the same time intense songs that I know. It's all about that long breakdown at the end, though I got more into the buildup as well. I really feel "I can't hold myself togetheeeeer" every time. And I just love that synth in combination with the deep guitars. It's what has made me feel the most the past month.
3. Gods
Really couldn't stand the screaming at first, but now I think it's really fun? It's somehow fun that Vessel's really pissed xD And to bring yourself in that mood.. The screams are actually subtly varied as well. And it sounds like the guitars had been in prison for a lifetime and now broke loose. Yeah, that's a weird but imo fitting description. Oh, and that china!
4. Vore
I dig the blackened vibe, and once again the progression. The first song I know that has a twist to the blackened stuff, because you can still somehow hear the Deftones influence even in those heavy parts.
5. Nazareth
I like the verses a little less now, but it's still an awesome song, especially the ending.
I'll make sure to give Dark Signs a couple more shots!

Honestly so hard to choose a top 5, so many good songs, my gym playlist is half Sleep Token.
I agree with The Offering at 1. though.
That song is a thriller. Listening close to the lyrics, its not at all as soft and romantic as it may appear. That's baddie core, quite gruesome.
I found these guys about 2 months ago, and I have yet to find a single song I don’t like. That has never happened to me with a band, ever.

The fact that even in this year 2022 NO ONE KNOWS WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE...is not only incredible, but it truly shows how this community of Worshippers doesn't wanna disturb the mystery, especially in this age of social media making it so incredibly easy to figure it out. It's incredible to me how everyone has just banded together to say "You know what, we don't care, we care about the MUSIC and that's it. No one should touch their identities." So incredibly amazing to me
I am seeing them in sydney for the first time next year and im traveling from new Zealand, I found out who vessel is a while ago and to me it makes it even more special. I am so excited to see this god in person and I look forward to the day everyone gets to know who he is to, but for now its our little secret ;) worship

wasn't all that hard to figure out who they were, just do some searches, some jackass decided to post it in a reddit post and shortly after one by one of the band they deleted their personal social media accounts. I won't say shit because I love this anonymity ambiance they got going on, plays into their music so you focus on the music and not just the musicians themselves, they let their instruments and vocals take charge instead of having their faces cloud it.

Lol I doubt it. To me, they're too incredible to share. Usually I share music on my Facebook page. But I can't bring myself to do it because I know nobody else will find them as fucking amazing as I do. And I get really offended when someone doesn't like a song I suggest. I'd have to say that black metal is my fav as far as the heavier metal goes but I like a little bit of everything in all categories of music.With this tune the juxtaposition of styles take this to another level. Tool is and always will be my favorite band. I cannot stop listening to Sleep Token. I bring up Tool because I was 16 when I first discovered Tool. I'm 35 now. I haven't had this feeling when listening to music since Tool. Sleep Token is a special piece of Music History and we're all very fortunate to witness it while it's happening. His music is timeless. I saw "His" because, aside from the Drums, it's all one dude that chooses to stay anonymous. In a world full of virtue signaling, influencer, and fake celebrities, I find the anonymity truly inspiring.

I've been a fan of Tool since the 90's. Overall, I'm a fan of all of Maynard's music. He's my all time favorite. It's not often that I find a band that I enjoy but I'm loving Sleep Token right now. Can't stop listening to them.

The way the dude says "Let’s fuck her up" is absolutely terrifying. So matter of factly.
Clint Beastwood sure the gesture implied by those lyrics is...grotesque. I think what makes my skin crawl (in a good way) is the adamant expression proposed. All of this well thought out storytelling and then just...a calm-in-its-anticipation yet out of character proposal of a curse. You've got the whole beautiful music thing and then there is the flat out disregard for this person...not detailed just a quick and subtle spit in the face statement.

I'm new to sleep token.. I've turned away so many times not giving them the time of day... until recently. The summoning, granite and alkaline made me a fan.. thread the needle, the way that you were and now this.. brings me so much joy, happiness and sadness. It opens my mind fully and this song really speaks to me on mad levels
Me too! I'd sort of heard of them but they weren't on my musical radar yet and I hadn't bought any of their work. My other half isn't keen, but there does need to be some differences in a relationship. Needless to say, Sleep Token are my new musical obsession and I now feel a bit deprived of I don't hear any of their music on the daily. I'm trying to get one of my best mates into them too - I think the multi-genre path of their work has blown her mind a bit (I got her to play a couple of their tracks yesterday and on the first one she asked "is this the same song?" These guys really are ace and lyrically perfect imo.

The song that made me fall in love with this band was Aqua Regia, and that will probably always be my favorite Sleep Token song, but this will also always be a very close second. There's something about a song that is both soft and melodical, but also heavy and rambunctious, I can't explain any further bc it's really just a vibe you have to feel for yourself.

I just found Sleep Token this year. I have listened to all 3 albums and fell in love with this band, but just started listening to this song and can't stop listening to it. It takes me to all different places and feels.
Sleep token is my chill-out band. I listen to stuff my Slipknot, Incubus, KoRn, ADTR, BMTH, and other metal-core/nu-metal stuff, along with a bunch of heavy metal and death metal, however sleep token has become a fav of mine through this song and a couple others
One more time tonight...listen to their entire catalog...incredible...you won't be disappointed. Amazing band...will BLOW your mind without a doubt

Discovered them about two years ago, and this banger of a song is still my favorite from them. Still, they never disappoint.
There's just something about the way they use that Rhodes electric piano sound on the intro of this that hits me with so many emotions. It's at once kind and warm but there's something dark and unsettling about it. And then Vessel's voice comes in and turns it into a life altering experience.

so glad i found this band. surprised i didn't hear them sooner. i love all of their stuff, earlier stuff just as much. listening to them evolve; as well as the mixing on the new album. insanely good. i have been waiting a very long time for a band to come out that so perfectly transcends genres. sure, they're extremely proggy, but they are so much more. the balance is done so well in such a way i think many non metalheads will find themselves head bobbing at a breakdown. metalheads may find themselves acquiring a new taste..
they are going to be huge.
