My only regret in life was not discovering them when they started
I discovered them prior to them to release their first album, and discovering back this treats from their early EPs where this track feature was awesome. I guess you had more treats to discover. The only downside i see is the opportunities to see them live in small venues. Now it's impossible.

You say that, however I went to see them in Manchester in the early days. Tiny gig, they were supporting at the academy. I absolutely loved them and had to stand in a crowd of people talking over them because they weren't appreciated as they should have been. It was so frustrating!
Although I'm happy they are getting the recognition they deserve now 🙂

I'm gonna be devastated if anything bad ever comes out about them. Ya know like years down the line. Cause I've absolutely adored some bands and then later they turned out to be not so good people. I just don't think that's possible with sleep token. I mean, anything is possible, but God I hope not with them.

There is something deeply spiritual about Sleep Token. It's not so much about the stage act, the catch phrase, the masks, or the out of this world concerts they give. When going down this rabbit hole of deeply emotional, hauntingly beautiful and achingly over wrought lyrics, one can't help but get lost inside multiple musical layers, the ambient abstracts of vocal echoing, and gorgeous vocals. The storyline is obvious, a toxic relationship paining Vessel. And anyone who has gone down this same road (with someone who does not love them back) and you really listen to the discography, you can expect an inner healing. a reshaping of your soul, if you allow it. I'm serious. You will belong to the night after you complete the ST discography, but in the best way possible.
I couldn't have worded that any better. Sleep Token is truly soul touching to me, and I find myself tangled up in the musical layers and his beautiful raw voice. I have never been so in love with music before, ST is unique and healing.
I cannot stop listen to them. It is so spiritual. Sometimes it is like that they are telling the history of my life and my relationships. It is so amazing and so strange.
That's exactly what happened to me...I was in love with someone who didn't want a relationship, and nothing could happen because he was on a finding "god" mission. 🙄 impossible.

It’s what I love about post rock music. The instrumentals and feel of the song brings you a story of emotion and they don’t even have singers in that genre. So his singing makes it even better.

Same here, I'm 52, been a metal head forever, played in a tech death metal band from the age of 25-35, but these guys just hit different. Accidentally stumbled upon them and can't get enough of them now.

This band helped me come to terms with past traumas. They're literally therapy in album format.
And now people wonder why they blew up like they did. This is why, this is their core, their soul, their birth, their first steps towards the summit. And this is not even their first EP.

How are they even a real band? I've never heard modern metal so compositionally and melodically perfect. Every song is a story from start to finish - an emotional trip in the greatest sense. The blend of expressive, R&B-esque vocals with modern metal/djent guitar work, and at times throwback punk-esque drumming is the breath of fresh air the metal scene needed. THIS is unique, THIS is new.
I've only just started listening to Sleep Token so I'm working my way backward in their discography and I simply cannot find a song I dislike. They've seriously cracked the code.

I first heard The Offering and I was hooked. His voice is so beautiful and pure. The drummer is so damn good too. I come back to them all the time.
The drum in every song is just ridiculously good.

Holy shit, you can actually see a lot of Vessel's face in this video!! Seeing the shots of his mouth, his nose, his eyes, etc. gave me a clearer picture of him as a person, and it made me burst into tears. The visuals of Vessel covering his face during the breakdown around 5:18 gave me chills all over. This song tells such a beautiful but haunting story.
This band is so special to me, I wish I had known about them earlier in life.

to borrow The Charasmatic Voice's description, he's so deliberate about about it. The enunciation and where the syllables go are so perfectly placed - I feel like rhythm and phrasing are at the core of their music.

Sleep Token is magic, mystery and immense talent. They are from another planet, every song is so intricate, complex, unique and hypnotizing. It's addictive af.

Each month I have a new ST song which I play on repeat for at least a month straight before discovering and moving on to another one. This month, it’s Calcutta. Absolutely brilliant and utterly beautiful. ❤ The absolute chokehold this band has on me at the moment is alarming given my age. I thought I was past the point of swooning over boy bands, but apparently I’m not.
Really. I'm 56 for goodness sake, and I too have never been so obsessed over any band. Vessel is so otherworldly and magnificent in every way. A tortured genius, I can relate to. Extremely fascinating albeit addictive. This feeling may not be healthy... Oh well, I simply adore them!

@ trying not to obsess to much over their characters only because the music industry is just awful and the level to which you must sell your soul is the only otherworldly part about it. He’s already given up his identity. I’m one of those fans who want them to be individually and personally recognized for each of their talents. I can’t help but wonder if that’s the “mom” in me, lol. I mean, the marketing is brilliant, so whoever thought of it also deserves some recognition cause obvi it worked. It worked so well they have an entire fan base who are feral over keeping this band’s identities anonymous. This, on top of creating songs using a formula that absolutely hypnotizes their audience. I’m just impressed all around TBH. On the other hand, the one thing that draws me in is also the very thing that disappoints me. I positively despise the idea of losing yourself just to follow your dreams or passion. They are not their own. That makes me sad. These are just my personal thoughts. Still a big fan and will continue listening to their music. I have a feeling in a few years will get some kind of movie of how they came to be which I will certainly be watching. Sleep Token to me feels allot like the pirate who knows they’re under the song spell of a siren, and that his utter destruction awaits him if she doesn’t break the spell. It’s a most beautiful sort of torture as a fan. For someone like me who lives in the land of limerence & maladaptive daydreaming, Sleep Token is so on point for that both musically and in their lore. Their songs, our soundtrack for life.

I have similar with Kate Bush, who I've been a fan of since she released "Wuthering Heights" in 1978. However, beautiful though her music is, it doesn't give me the same shivers that Sleep Token's music does. Both Kate and Sleep Token/Vessel are total music geniuses in their own rights but oh my lord! Vessel's voice has such an immense amount of emotion in it that I feel broken and remade each time I hear another of their tracks.

I think it's because Vessel didn't have peanut butter stuck on the roof of his mouth on his previous works. Not saying his new stuff is worse or better because damn, Sleep Token was the only band that made me create a separate playlist solely just for their songs

2:09 "till the morning comes" this is the most beautiful transition, the vocals, everything about it. It feels so fucking enlightening like I could just start floating, the way it all just flows together so nicely. This moment every time I hear it, is just pure happiness.
This was my first impression of Sleep Token a couple years ago. When I first saw this video and heard his voice I couldn’t quite appreciate its authenticity back then like I do now because I was so used to the cut and dry nature of most modern metal nowadays. Ever since then I’ve grown to love and appreciate everything this band has done and I now consider this one of my favorite songs and videos, not just from this band but from all the music I’ve discovered over the years. WORSHIP.
I feel the same way except the first time I heard it I fell in love with vessel and now sleep token is almost all I listen to and I tell everyone I know about them and try to get them into them but not everyone gets it I guess.

@@GrizzyGoat Yeah, I know this. You just phrased it in such a way that made it sound like they're a metal band, which they're pretty damn far from tbh. They're more like art rock mixed with other genres and a hint of metal in how the rhythm guitar is written.
The first Sleep Token song I ever listened to was this one, before they had even played a single live show. Crazy to see how far they have come!

I also found them through metal hammer. In the live show reviews (which are genius btw, they tell you what the band sounds like as well as reviewing the performance .) was reading a festival show, and I saw a picture of the singer throwing up a middle finger, reading an unidentifiable book, but it had the same ascetics as religious documents. Then the caption underneath stated Sleep Token: Anonymous awesomeness. I read the paragraph about the show. I remember the words through a hazy shroud, wierd, beautiful, interesting. Looked them the fuck up immediately and MIND FUCKING BLOWN!

This song really helps me deal with the mental load of insomnia, im forever awake. I cant even sleep with my partner amd it crushes me, until i see her again in the morning it makes me forget i havent slept in days. To me its like wanting to sleep without it being chemically induced. Perhaps Sleep is maybe a deity i have been seeking myself, loathing fot the darkness in a way without it sounding morbid

Wasn't initially a huge fan of them, because I was listening to heavy, death metal... But they came up and I decided to check them out. No regrets.
This beyond excellent and incredibly dynamic. It's like Sigur Ros, Everything Everything, Massive Attack and ISIS all came together and birthed this incredible musical creature.

I discovered this band at the same time I started to play Destiny 2 again (eyes up guardians) and now all I think of when listening to them is that Sleep token is a folk group started by a cabal of warlocks. Gods I love them.

I love sleep token’s music, so much not just one song I mean all of it. I love that vessel sings so emotional and he or even they all have been through some really bad heartbreak here. It’s very relatable and I love that about this band.I love that all the instruments play so beautifully together with his voice and everything, just everything about this band is amazing. And I discovered them because of a friend in the beginning of the year of 2022. Also, some one of their songs when he says “are you in pain like I am?” Sadly i am but learning to grow slowly. I’ve been through some really bad heart break as well and still learning to grow over the years from it and it’s funny because it made me want to start writing as well along with other things, I’ve been through in life. And this is before sleep token but once I found sleep token, I couldn’t express music any better than what they did. I could express something but they are just so damn relatable. Can’t even put it in to more words atm. I just can’t relate to every song they wrote !

I've been listening to Sleep Token for about a year now, and for some reason never really gave this one a chance.
This is now by far one of my top 3, if not top, Sleep Token song. This is truly a beautiful piece of art, is so powerful, and captures my heart and soul. I love Sleep Token so much.
