    Pretty impressive little tool really.

      Does make it easier to see than a digital thermometer for sure.

    I just got one here in the states. I see from their website this model is not listed in the current offerings but can't have been discontinued too long ago. The printed documentation with mine including the box is in English.
    Hopefully, it works for what I mainly got it for, looking at circuit boards. I have used very expensive FLIR cameras in the past with much better resolution at my work but for my home use, not going to spend that much!

      They are still readily available on Aliexpress by the looks, UNI-T are sneeky with the model numbers and offer the same thing but with different numbers.

      Is it enough to look at circuit boards what are your thoughts?

    • @plasmaDave
      @plasmaDave  Год назад +1

      @@radovansekulovic7746 it's marginal, you can and I have used it for that a fair few time now. I'm told the magnifying lens helps.

      @@radovansekulovic7746 I have looked at circuit boards and it seems adequate. You will not get high details for picking out like a 0201 sized tiny resistor individually if its in a group of similar temperature parts but you can see things like separated 2x2mm or larger parts or hot-spots OK.
      Perfectly OK for troubleshooting things or getting overall temperatures of even pretty small areas on the board.

    Hey is this good for pipe leak detection behind walls and tiles?

    • @plasmaDave

      @@mattvideo1994 maybe but only if the water was colder or warmer than the wall. Not ideal I think.

    Thanks for showing how to change from Chinese to English, They have an updated model of this but the price is like AUD 400.. so I got the older model.

    most of them in this price range are like 32x32 and 9hz, this is better at 120x90 and 25hz.. seems decent

      I'm still happy with it, I think the trick is not to try a better and more expensive one then you don't know what your missing 😉

    is this good for detecting short on laptop motherboarad?..maybe for small caps/resistor or ic

    • @plasmaDave
      @plasmaDave  11 дней назад

      The standard magnification is going to make that hard to be accurate, there is an add on lens that makes that easier apparently.

    Hi, thank you so much for reviewing this UTI120S. Do you think its enough for starting electrician tool for thermal camera? UTI260 costs twice the price, cant afford fluke/flir.

    • @plasmaDave
      @plasmaDave  2 месяца назад

      I'd say yes obviously the more you pay the better but this really does work. I've found hot components on circuit boards with it and found out why my GPU on. PC kept cutting out. Was due too a bad connection. You can also get a lens for them for closer work.

    hola, yo igual me compré una hace pocos días en ALIEXPRESS..... compré el combo que viene con lente macro y estuche para guardar todo por +/- 154$..... para mí es muy buen equipo por el precio que tiene. yo le eliminé esa paleta de colores de la derecha por qué ocupa mucho espacio y no aporta nada en la medición, solo le dejé temperatura máxima y mínima con punto central y ya....y se ve mejor. igual le dejé la fecha para que en la foto de captura salga. ya la he probado en la empresa y es excelente la imágen. estoy muy satisfecho con este equipo. también lo venden en marca MILESEEY y la UNIT lo vende en el mundo con varios números diferentes, aún no se el porqué....

    • @plasmaDave
      @plasmaDave  2 года назад +1

      Yes it appears to be a good unit for the price, I also have taken away the colour guide on the right-hand side. Is the Macro lens any good?
