Fixing up an abandoned J/24 Sailboat. (Final)

One of the many advantages of having a one design boat is the great availability of used sails, often only slightly used. This is a big benefit to both buyers and sellers. I've been on both sides of the transaction. My rule of thumb is used one regatta (from new) to used one season:: 50% of list price. Often, a sailmaker at a national regatta will sell the suit he used. It's a good deal for him and for his new customer.

Congrats on the transformation and launch! I bought a '79 J/24 last year and have enjoyed sailing and working on her; so much fun to phrf race too. I enjoyed your video series and look forward to future episodes.

did you ever figure out why there was oil in the bilge? Congrats. looks great! ha, i laughed out loud when you were fussing with the outboard. "i wanted to sink the boat right then" too funny
