Hello Mark, fellow sub ive watched your videos and they have helped me in the long run! I bought a speedfight 2 for £50 none running and another one for £220 running i used the running engine for my other bike. But the £50 one i got running using your videos and to be honest it was just simple as the kick start wasnt engaging, but cleaned it up and its now in a garage getting front break sorted in it way for a mot! Many thanks! Harry Ps would love a shout out 👌
So good news and bad news Good news it passed with two advisorys mirrors and front tyre Bad news it does idle and rev up but doesnt feel like it wants to move? Could it be the clutch? Does have new belt
Hi Mark I've got 2007 sachs speedforce 50 2 stroke last summer I bought a new carb for my bike worked like a dream. Then I left it for 5 months without starting it n now my carburettor isn't sucking the fuel through I tested it myself by sucking the vacuum and it comes out perfect but when I turn it over with the carb it isn't sucking it through. Also when I put new carb on it got a new fuel tap and filter the jets aren't blocked either.
well half of what I was going to say you have done so that's good so far vacuum , cleaned carb , fuel pipes --check ok now not so good stuff check the reeds and make sure they are closed ,so you did the wet hand carb test and was it wet ? don't like to say but it could be your oil seals!! id try with easy start and fuel down the head , try and start then clean plug and try and again to see
I have checked my reeds and they are all good I think it might be the Crank seals because when my engine is running there is this black liquid dripping from underneath the engine. Have you got Facebook so I can talk to you on there so it is easier
Hi I know this video is old but you have a helped me alot haha in the time but I’m having a bit of trouble with my carb just put a new carb and reeds on mine sp2 50cc 2t it’s running and reving and idling pretty good but won’t budge over 5-10mph it’s had new rollers few month ago new clutch 7-8 month ago but I don’t understand what’s the issue if you can help be appreciate thanks u
maybe you remember what the standard setting is for the idle speed screw?, 3.5 turns from the end to the fuel-air mixture and how much is for idle, I have the same carburetor and speedfight too. I did not notice that turning this screw somehow changed the idle speed.
Morning bud , there is no real standard setting for the idea on a old moped , just in till it runs ,well stays running Air mix is important like in my tuning video then idea as it runs bud If your going all the way in then needle hight needs adjusting as in my carb videos
Last time I saw dirt like that it was because the previous owner had been using an old metal Jerry can. It had been crushed and the enamel had flaked off the inside. Then the metal had rusted and all the fuel was full of rust.
I bought a Peugeot Speedfight 2 air-cooled, it has stood still for 8 years, it has been serviced, I replaced the old petrol and oil and the spark plug carburetor is clean but smokes a lot. I cannot adjust the carburetor, is it better that I buy a new carburetor i did al the things you did and nothing work its starts fine but a lot of smoke and if you wil drive its worse ??
You can adjust the carbs as in my carb videos and there's a fee Use a hack saw to line the screw However if not started in 8 years There might be all sorts in the sum I'd change piston anyway You don't know why it was left for 8 years!! Or new carb Whats the spark like There's 100 videos bud they will help
Hello agin mark, just one question my carb keeps flooding with oil what would cause this pease even if I leave the bike 3 days when I go to the bike there’s a massive leak of 2 stroke oil on the floor checked everywhere around the pump ect no leaks took air filter off and it’s full of oil
I have a speedfight 3 that turns over but won’t start it has a strong new battery and spark I have fuel when I pull the pipe off and I have a brand new carb and the Reed valve has recently been replaced the bike only sounds like it wants to start when easy start is sprayed into the carb...any ideas of what else piston maybe? Thankyou I’m advance
Does it back fire or pop if you try and start it with the throttle open If so I'd go with piston Otherwise do wet hand test then it maybe engine / oil seals bud Loads of videos on my channel that will help
How is the autochoke attached to the top of the carb,ie how do you remove it?should it just pull off or those 2 small screws keeping it attached.2007 speedfight 100,thanks
Hi Mark, could do with your help. speedfight 2 50cc. The carb is an original gurtner but the adjustment screw is weird (basically a blank screw) and can't be adjusted and the autochoke is stuck in and it massively over revs. My question is....... the gurtner carbs are impossible to get a hold of so the only option is an aftersales £25 carb from ebay. Do I just replace it or try to get gurtner carb working as I hear they are really good. Appreciate your thoughts
Hi Mark, I hope you had a very merry christmas but on my air to petrol mix (3 half turns out) isn't a flat head screwdriver it's a weird shape and i can't get a screwdriver in to adjust it, What Should I do?
Hi mark. I might be able to get my hands on a Dellorto PHVA 17,5 from a Piaggio Zip. How would my SF2 run on that one? I know what intake manifold i need for it, and I will put a proper filter on it, and not any of those silly shower sponges.
If the old carb is bad then replace You should be able to set it up , change the main needle and slide Have a video on that Tune and change the jet with the old one Can't hurt bud
Hi I have a speedfight 2 100cc it as a sports exhaust a open air filter and malossi variator kit do u no what Size jet I need please as it only goes 53mph
Make sure the sports exhaust it for the 100cc and not a 50cc Open air filter ? Use the peugeot box filter but see if it needs the link pipe Variator? As in my videos 9g What jet size in now
hi i got lil project speedfight 50cc prost trying to turn over fuel coming out airbox i followed vid taking apart puting together i think could it be the float also kickstand not working any help apprecitated
Yes carb float or vacuum not shutting off and if so will need replacing I have loads of videos that will help plus on the stand But you may have a watch a load of my speedfight videos to find it as I have over 100 Type in speedfight mark savage bud
How big jet komplekt would u reccomend? 60-78 or 80-98? If i put on a dellorto 17,5 mm carburetor on 50cc speedfight 2 with leo vince zx sports exhaust?
We have a 2 stroke cpi Oliver that's had almost everything done to get it to run well and it's speedo is showing 50mph now, but it's always needed only 1/4 turn out of the air screw or it hardly runs at all? Very odd?
that a good speed, as for the carb, its a standard setting and each carb are different running set up so as long as its running and running well all is good check the plug and see what colour it is after a good run as you are looking for a nice light brown colour
Hayup mark pal, great vids seriously, iv just a question, as im rideing my 50cc 2t, sx sachs moped, when im going some speed at full revs im starting to get a slight bogging, or like the fuels not getting in, or maybe air, im not sure what the problem could be any suggestions. ONLY on full revs tho, could it be so simple as to cleaning the carb,? Or should i try spraying carb cleaner in carb. ? Or the mixture..? Im lost pal. I do no though, my mixture screw is only about 1 turn out, but seems to be idling ok.. thanks mark. Hope to hear from you soon..
Matthew Marshall a service can only help I’d take the carb off and clean it like in my carb videos New plug and clean or change the air filter See how that goes if still the same I’d go to 3 half turns then jetting bud as carb and curling. do change after many miles Thanks for watching bud please like and sub and see how that goes Mark
Hey mark just about to upgrade to a 17.mm carb from this exact carb your reassembled in this video. My new 17.5mm TNT carb as a vacuum connection at the top, where my original carb on the speedfight hasn’t got one? How do I set this up lol
As long as fitments are the same and fuel pipes set air mix 3 half turns out to start Follow my tuning video I've got lots of carb videos bud that should help
Hi mark I bought a speed fight for getting to work it’s a 2006 and when I went to pick it up guy gave me a bottle and told me I had to mix it in tank. I also noticed that oil tank was removed and the oil pipe to carb was blocked off. What do I need to do to get the oil pump working again.
I have over 80 videos to hear they have 2 sort of 2t oil pumps, electric and manual so you need to check which one you have first change pump and refit oil tank , most of the time they stop using them because they have broken or they what more 2t oil in pre mix works but is not the best way
hey mark thanks for your speedfight videos i have just a little question will these 3 turns help with mileage or this another setting for better mileage ? thanks
this helps your moped run at its best once tuned so 3 half turns is standard and adjustment after in of out, once running starting better the moped should be faster and more mpg don't forget to service the moped
thanks mark , i appreciate it , but i have another question XD srry for bothering u , the thing is i cant find an air filter replacement for the speedfight , so should i rock those chinese air filters that u hate XD ? thanks
Youssef you know I don’t like them but as long as it’s dry where you are then go for it It will be noisier and need a bit more tuning but should be fine
that's your idle and adjust that to keep the revs up or bring them down as you adjust the idle I have another newer video on my channel tuning in a 125 carb but it will show you how and the basics like his video ruclips.net/video/6bxZ3gI7Csw/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/cjBYcboRmNA/видео.html well worth a watch as I do have over 400 videos
Great vidoes!! I have a small question ?Do you know what is the original carb settings (the idle screw, fuel and air, and the niddle place) for Peugeot Trekker 50cc
I tried to put 3 half turns out and it make a bit of a change but i think my second adustable screw its the ?problem (the one that its a bit highr) so how much turns you turn it to original settings
Hi Mark I was hoping u could help me as I'm having trubble with my Speedfight 2 it's a standard 50cc no power pipe or fancy carb or filter. The problem is it's eating spark plugs iv replaced the the spark plugs 4 times this month and I don't get it as I don't us it apart from ride it around the garden about 3 times a day well that's if it starts. Hope u and your family are doing well.
Hi Mark, Just a quick question. I ve got speedfight 100cc which I have manage to get it running with a carb from my 50cc speedfight. The one on 100cc looks like it does not want to work as its not sucking petrol from the tank. If you suck it manually, bike will start for a few secs and then cuts off. So as I said I have swapped carbs and its running ok but 50cc carb and 100cc carb is different when it comes pipes as on 50cc sucking pipe goes to manifold and on 100cc straight to carb. Am I right thinking that carb is faulty and needs a new one ? Thanks Mark
eNeRGetyk Power yes the 100cc carb air pipe goes in on the front so you maybe not putting it in on the right in pipe ! Or give it a service while off and make sure you have the right intake , if you have and after servicing it still. Doesn’t suck from the fuel vacuum then yes bud I’d replace it with another Peugeot carb Thanks for watching I have many speedfight videos that should help all being 50cc and a few 100cc Please like share and sub Mark
Hey Mark, i have a speedfight 2 Liquid cooled and i have trouble starting it, ive changed my spark plug and put brand new gas in it and i also cleaned the carburetor twice now but i feel like i doesnt want to ignite! When i try to start it, its soo close to start but it wont! I have no clue what else is can be! I know gas is going into my carburetor but somethings wrong please help!
hi bud oh dear well it's very common bud, like in my videos try some easy start in the carb and give it a go other wise 1st test open throttle full and turn over keep going if it back fires or pops it could be your piston which would need changing. i have a videos well many videos on how to do that poss reeds as in my video try the wet hand test and see if you do get a wet hand like in my videos basic bud have a good watch of my videos they will help and give ideas on what to try before the head has to come off thanks for watching please like share and sub mark
Hi Mark - I have another question. I just cleaned the carb and when I got to reassembly and I put the oil hose (pin) back in I mounted it a bit too loosely and when i realized this I expected to see some oil dripping out but there was none - I only had the engine running on idle but I would still expect a drop or two leaking out - or is it in such small amounts that it didn't come out yet? I was wondering if there is a way to check if the oil actually gets into the carb?
Poldinho67slo when running it sucks the oil in as the pump pushes it so all normally goes in Start bike and take out the pipe and it should as you rev pulse out so you know it’s working and you should have smoky oil as you rev the engine so you know it is going in bud You could use a little tack to fit it in better and stop it coming out Mark
Oh OK thanks mate! It was very smoky in the garage when I started the bike cold so I guess part of that was from the oil so hopefully all OK - I tacked the pin a bit with a screwdriver and it seems to be solid now. BTW the bike didn't start when it was cold before because the choke was always closing the holes in the carb (the metal part was always pushed too far out) so I took the auto choke apart and squeezed the little piston with pliers back to the normal closed position and that seems to have done the trick - I also adjusted the choke a bit by unscrewing the bottom part by a few turns so that the metal part of the choke just touches the bottom of the carb hole when it's warm - it starts perfectly now. Maybe you could look into it sometimes and make another video about auto choke - I'm sure it's a common problem that can apparently be solved easily. Thanks again and keep them coming! :-) Cheers mate!
Hi Mark, I have a question about carb cleaning spray. Is it necessary to use this specific spray or is it OK to use "chain cleaner" or "break cleaner" instead? I've been to a few of the local stores and none of them have the carb cleaning spray - one guy told me to only put the carb and soak it in petrol (but I think this is mainly to clean the outside of the carb?). I guess I can always order it trough online stores but anyway I would like to hear what you think and thanks for all the great uploads! Cheers mate!
i stick to carb cleaner bud, Halfords or A1 many other car stores do it . other cleaner may have oils or contents that could damage the alloy carb or reeds if it gets sucking it to head! as for petrol well it sits in petrol all day any way lol it wont get it to the jets and may clean the outside like you say thanks for watching bud
OK I got myself a carb cleaner - don't know if it's a good one or the rubbish one :-) Anyway I went to get my carb of the bike and I noticed that the fuel/air mixture adjustment screw is a weird one without any groove to be able to adjust it with screw driver or take it out. Have you ever seen this? I'd post a picture bit I can't here on RUclips. Anyway do you recon it's best for me to just leave it alone (and bypass it when I'm cleaning the carb) or should I modify it somehow, maybe try to drill a small shallow grove in it so that I'm able to adjust? I recon it's pretty important to get that part properly cleaned? Thanks mate
Hi mark, when I first pull away on my ludix blaster it really splutters until it clears lots of smoke then it’s fine the longer it idle the worse it is , has a nukara traffic exhaust with restrictor washer out standed filter and 62 jet I gone 58 to 64 and 62 is better, no settings on carb apart from idle screw, Is this just normal for two stroke
David Cornet it can be , sure on yours you can adjust the oil mix, maybe change it a little less Or have a Lol at your needle height as in my newest video I say about the needle You can adjust that for better pull away to stop so much fuel getting in But it’s more to do with the carb air in Can you not adjust the air mix Like in my other video Thanks for watching mark
What was wrong with the old carb bud Why did you change it When you changed it did you use your old jet Air petrol mix 3 half turns out Is it a speedfight carb or a cheap on as they should be shut
8mm and its about 1" and a half but you can use like in my videos a bolt and a nut on the other side , its a bit of a bugger to get it on but will work if you use a longer bold bud you need to get it tight on otherwise it wont run
Hi mark, I've got a peugeot vivacity 50 2t and im not sure what the problem is, when i start it from cold (using kickstart because it doesnt start with electric until its warm) it smokes like crazy for the first minute or so at idle or when i give it gas. When the bike is warm it smokes a whole lot less. Blue smoke if that helps? Please get back to me as ive no idea what it is. Cheers
hi bud so its 2t and burning a lot of 2t oil as the dont have engine oil, first what 2t oil are you using hopefully not cheap one , fuel , are you using e5 super of the e10 rubbish as in my video's and i have videos on both of these issue ... next and if oil and fuel are ok it sound like ring damage / piston and best to take head off and take a look at them and the head for scoring electric start we can deal with after bud
@@marksavage thanks for getting back to me mate, im using castrol 2t oil and i always fill up with e5. If it is piston rings, which it sounds like it then are they difficult to replace? Ive never really worked on a bike properly as its my first.
@@user-xh1dr3bs6p no bud on a 2t really easy and may as well replace the piston with new ring but would have to check the head for scoring as in my videos They are on speedfights but all the same Watch my piston videos They will help bud and what you need to do Very few tools and easy to do
@@marksavage thank you, ill watch them all so i know what to do, would i need a torque wrench for working on the engine because i dont have one, if so let me know so i can order one and get started. Cheers 👍
@@user-xh1dr3bs6p as in my videos on a 50cc it's not worth it and I do show what to do These 50cc mopeds run on a wish and a prayer lol as long as they get fuel and 2t they are happy
HELLO mARK.i HAVE A NEW CARB WITH A COOPER PIPE FOR THE OIL PUMP TO CARB HOSE DOES THIS COME OUT & YOU PUSH THE SMALL CONNECTOR INTO THE CARB Cheers Duncan.
take you have bought a Chinese part carb, you may have to enlarge the pipe or add a bit of bigger pipe to it, on the air mix keep the air mix screw all the way in and not 3 half turns unless it runs bad hope that helps please like and sub mark
Hi Mark! i have a issue with my speedfight 2, after working 15 minutes lost power and dont want to walk. After a pause of 1 hour works again....what is your opinion? sent you a facebook message, explaining details. Thanks
@@marksavageHi Mark! Thankssssss again for your answer. I saw your video about stator coil and now i know where and what it is. Well, I go expose my issue again (because You dont go to face) to know Your expert opinion. My Speedfight 2 (1998), now, put the exaust with to much warm 250º celsius (temperature in dashboard normal) and as I said before starts easiy and runs about 15m more or less well. After this it loose the power but still working. If i stop the engine it starts without problems, but No power. After 1 hour, gets again power. Other thing maybe important i put a special air filter, and other day i try to put the original one and with this dont starts. Knowing all the issue, do You still think the problem is the stator coil? Thankssss
madz Rt if u have fuel getting in and a wet plug with spark and still nothing ? Try starting and keep the throttle open If it sort of spits / pops then you are going to have to look at the piston bud Mark
Hi mark i neeed abit of advice please mate , ive got a vivacity 3 , 50cc its got a 48 pilot jet and a 50 main jet , air fuel mix screw has to be near enough fully turned it to run to high rpm but soon as i sit on it the rpm wont go past 3 mph if that? Im lost with it haha ive checked pullys belt ect i was wondering if i need to change that pilot jet as its seems quite large but after ive read up about it it just not making any sense
Thanks in advance , ps watched your wheel nut video 😬 look at right pain that but your completely right best sort it before its a whole different game another nice video keep grinding 🤛🏻
id always use a speedfight carb the Chinese ones are harder to set up wit the air mix being all the way in and they can run rich. I know they are hard to find and will be 2nd hand but if yo can buy one of them bud
ive just put pic as my profile pic so have alook so if thats the oil inlet where does that go as the thin pipe goes from carb to pump oil tank pipe to pump then the 2 petrol ones then where does this oil inlet go
The reason for being so desporate is because its the first motor transportation ive had and i need it so desperately to keep my job and shopping for food every week, this bicycle is getting so darn tiresome.
mark savage it's running good now yay hole was to big so a bit of tubing and a fiddle with air fuel hey Presto she runs I get maybe 25 mph out of it lol it's a piaggio nrg keep up the Vids tho
hey mark while i was working on my speedfight i accidentally broke that small oil filter , so i lined the oil tank with a straight tube without the filter , is it okay to run it without that filter , thanks mark
It’s not the end of the world bud just use fresh good 2t oil and it will be fine It was to stop dirt blocking the oil pump and causing seizing Pop one in when you can bud
hi bud , oh dear have you watched many of my videos like this one ? ruclips.net/video/hMN4ZTdnrSU/видео.html this is the best advice i can give for a 70 kit, i do have many other videos that may help have a good look through my videos on carb, upjetting mark
mark savage heat cycles are where you start your bike from cold let it idle up to operating temp then let it cool down completely then re do this cycle you should always atleast do heat cycles after a rebuild Cheers
Hi Mark I'm having some serious problems with my speed fight 2 it starts about about 10 trys but when it starts it dosent rev up much when I full rev it it's like somethink is stopping it it's not running right at all I've just put a new carb on it and now its not running right I have a video of it if there's any way I can send it to you cheers
upload it to your channel and ill give it a watch, you say you have changed the carb did you change the auto choke as this can be the problem! if you have changed the carb and tuned it like my tuning video and all is ok there it could be your rings on your piston or simple piston wear as this is common too and if its done it for some time it maybe worth taking the head off to view but id change it as its been a long time in there mark
Hi Mark I have a question. I ve bought myself a speedfight which was striped to bits and I have nearly put everything.back together but I cant get shock absorber to its position. Is there a trick or something to.get it on ? Also I have 2 pipes from the head which I have no idea where are they going. Thanks Mark
hi bud thanks for watching and well done to get it back together lol. ok front or rear shock, i have videos on them bud have a good look through my videos there are well over 50 and they do cover the shock . you may have to watch a few on front end and one day fix as i cover them there and i may go on about other items lol but they are on my channel was it front or rear. front is easy and as said there's a videos on it as for the rear you need to take off the petrol tank or lift it up one side again not hard bud but make sure there are the right ones as front and back are different the pipe are for the GRV for the exhaust, they don't need to be attached so don't worry . hope that help bud
mark savage Thanks Mark Its a rear shock which is still attached to the chasis,Its just needs bolting to the engine body. Yh I have watched most of the videos u have and it helped a lot. Thanks for advice with them pipes. Bought a non runner as water pump was gone. I have checked crank, piston etc and all seems to be in good condtion, so hope it will start. Thanks once again
mark savage Thanks Mark,All done but unfortunately bike didnt want to start :( I have found out that coolant get in to the cylinder and the crank. I am looking at getting new cylinder kit and just want to ask what brand do u recommend ? Is Naraku any good ? I have found RMS and TNT which are £10 cheaper than Naraku ot should I take Naraku one ? Thanks Mark and sorry for being a pain.
eNeRGetyk Power thanks for watching and happy my videos help . all good make one bud just not cheap ones as the don’t last Like in my otherLC videos Water cooled can be a problem , it not a big job follow my videos on draining the water and fitting new head They should help Mark
hi if the screw is damaged and un-adjustable you can drill it out but finding a new one will be very difficult, how is the bike running ? if ok leave it as is, if not then you will need to replace
Lauris if letting in air then yes bud Maybe use a bit of gum to part fill in the air mix to restrict the air in bud Keep filling in until the bike runs better
S3ct1on Th1rt33n hi You have asked this before bud and I told you how to change the water pump but what is the spacer you are talking about and where is it ? I’ve taken of the pump before it’s not hard as in my last comment to you
mark savage I was on another account and couldn't see my replies so I switched. I'm not too sure. I had coolant inside the side case and was told it was the spacer?
S3ct1on Th1rt33n sure the are sealed units bud Best Buy a new one but make you clean up the stator coil if water has got in there You will need to take it off , use my stator coil video on how
Claudio Carbone 5:31 the pipe coming from the vacuum ! This is the air pipe that goes to the inlet manifold If you do not have this you need a new vacuum Top fuel bottom air to open the vacuum like in the video bud Hope that helps please like and sub and I have another 70 speedfight videos to help Mark
@@dentoneverett2335 to be fair I've not seen it so it would be a guess I've only seen pipes that connect in that way are normally air pipes What did the garage say
Trav Parr as long as it’s got good oil feed and had been started before all it ok Some moped like it others need warning it just comes down to the carb and bike your fixing bud but helpful advise to others that maybe watching thanks Mark
I've many more newer videos since this one bud Theres over 75 speedfight videos to help That pipe is the air and goes into the manifold just in front of the carb After cleaning you need to prime the carb
Mark sav i really need you on messenger dude i have major issues with a chopped up mopad i bought for 75 dollars id love to have you on video chatt to help me fix this thing seeing i dont know the year make model of this yamaha scooter i have it is soo diffrent from any video on this particular motor i have.thanks for any support.

new carb as in a Peugeot one or chinse one as set up is very different , like in my carb videos , also did you change the needle and top to fit , did you put in the old jets that the ped was set up to as this is important too

Preferred this video to your older ones. A lot more to the point and simple to follow. Keep them coming
Jakhy thanks bud that good to hear

Thank u mister, really needed this video, im cleaning and replacing carb parts of my vivacity. Its not running wel right now so I hope it wil help
You are very welcome
Hello Mark, fellow sub ive watched your videos and they have helped me in the long run! I bought a speedfight 2 for £50 none running and another one for £220 running i used the running engine for my other bike. But the £50 one i got running using your videos and to be honest it was just simple as the kick start wasnt engaging, but cleaned it up and its now in a garage getting front break sorted in it way for a mot! Ps would love a shout out 👌
That's great to hear my videos help and you have managed to get them running well done bud and thanks for watching mark
mark savage its moted tomorrow hopefully! Break sorted just didnt start for mot :(
oh maybe a little easy start will help, check the carb again .
They said they'll be cleaning, have you not got facebook or anything i can show you progress through watching your videos
So good news and bad news
Good news it passed with two advisorys mirrors and front tyre
Bad news it does idle and rev up but doesnt feel like it wants to move? Could it be the clutch? Does have new belt

well half of what I was going to say you have done so that's good so far
vacuum , cleaned carb , fuel pipes --check
ok now not so good stuff
check the reeds and make sure they are closed ,so you did the wet hand carb test and was it wet ?
don't like to say but it could be your oil seals!!
id try with easy start and fuel down the head , try and start then clean plug and try and again to see
I have checked my reeds and they are all good I think it might be the Crank seals because when my engine is running there is this black liquid dripping from underneath the engine. Have you got Facebook so I can talk to you on there so it is easier

I have the problem that the air filter is full of gasoline
What could it be?
Vacuum leaking
Test like in my videos
Or Float
I bought a Peugeot Speedfight 2 air-cooled, it has stood still for 8 years, it has been serviced, I replaced the old petrol and oil and the spark plug carburetor is clean but smokes a lot. I cannot adjust the carburetor, is it better that I buy a new carburetor i did al the things you did and nothing work its starts fine but a lot of smoke and if you wil drive its worse ??
You can adjust the carbs as in my carb videos and there's a fee
Use a hack saw to line the screw
However if not started in 8 years
There might be all sorts in the sum
I'd change piston anyway
You don't know why it was left for 8 years!!
Or new carb
Whats the spark like
There's 100 videos bud they will help
Hello agin mark, just one question my carb keeps flooding with oil what would cause this pease even if I leave the bike 3 days when I go to the bike there’s a massive leak of 2 stroke oil on the floor checked everywhere around the pump ect no leaks took air filter off and it’s full of oil
Thanks mate
Happy to help
I have a speedfight 3 that turns over but won’t start it has a strong new battery and spark I have fuel when I pull the pipe off and I have a brand new carb and the Reed valve has recently been replaced the bike only sounds like it wants to start when easy start is sprayed into the carb...any ideas of what else piston maybe? Thankyou I’m advance
Does it back fire or pop if you try and start it with the throttle open
If so I'd go with piston
Otherwise do wet hand test then it maybe engine / oil seals bud
Loads of videos on my channel that will help
How is the autochoke attached to the top of the carb,ie how do you remove it?should it just pull off or those 2 small screws keeping it attached.2007 speedfight 100,thanks
Two small screws on a half washer keep it on connect
Once removed it just twists out
Hi Mark, could do with your help. speedfight 2 50cc.
If the old carb is bad then replace
You should be able to set it up , change the main needle and slide
Have a video on that
Tune and change the jet with the old one
Can't hurt bud
Hi I have a speedfight 2 100cc it as a sports exhaust a open air filter and malossi variator kit do u no what Size jet I need please as it only goes 53mph
Make sure the sports exhaust it for the 100cc and not a 50cc
Open air filter ?
Use the peugeot box filter but see if it needs the link pipe
Variator?
As in my videos

What jet size in now
hi i got lil project speedfight 50cc prost trying to turn over fuel coming out airbox i followed vid taking apart puting together i think could it be the float also kickstand not working any help apprecitated
Yes carb float or vacuum not shutting off and if so will need replacing
I have loads of videos that will help plus on the stand
But you may have a watch a load of my speedfight videos to find it as I have over 100

You need pics on the motor type i have thats the only way i or you can tell what year and model scooter i have.
as said google to find out what you have and then whats up with it
How big jet komplekt would u reccomend? 60-78 or 80-98? If i put on a dellorto 17,5 mm carburetor on 50cc speedfight 2 with leo vince zx sports exhaust?
as in my carb videos 54 /56 main is standard and i only go up in 4 so 60 upto 64 otherwise you get bogging
@@marksavage ok
We have a 2 stroke cpi Oliver that's had almost everything done to get it to run well and it's speedo is showing 50mph now, but it's always needed only 1/4 turn out of the air screw or it hardly runs at all? Very odd?
that a good speed, as for the carb, its a standard setting and each carb are different running set up so as long as its running and running well all is good
check the plug and see what colour it is after a good run as you are looking for a nice light brown colour
Matthew Marshall a service can only help
I’d take the carb off and clean it like in my carb videos
New plug and clean or change the air filter
See how that goes if still the same I’d go to 3 half turns then jetting bud as carb and curling. do change after many miles
Thanks for watching bud please like and sub and see how that goes
Mark
Hey mark just about to upgrade to a 17.mm carb from this exact carb your reassembled in this video. My new 17.5mm TNT carb as a vacuum connection at the top, where my original carb on the speedfight hasn’t got one? How do I set this up lol
As long as fitments are the same and fuel pipes set air mix 3 half turns out to start
Follow my tuning video
I've got lots of carb videos bud that should help
Hi mark I bought a speed fight for getting to work it’s a 2006 and when I went to pick it up guy gave me a bottle and told me I had to mix it in tank. I also noticed that oil tank was removed and the oil pipe to carb was blocked off. What do I need to do to get the oil pump working again.
I have over 80 videos to hear
they have 2 sort of 2t oil pumps, electric and manual so you need to check which one you have first
change pump and refit oil tank , most of the time they stop using them because they have broken or they what more 2t oil in
pre mix works but is not the best way
hey mark thanks for your speedfight videos i have just a little question will these 3 turns help with mileage or this another setting for better mileage ? thanks
this helps your moped run at its best once tuned so 3 half turns is standard and adjustment after in of out, once running starting better the moped should be faster and more mpg
don't forget to service the moped
thanks mark , i appreciate it , but i have another question XD srry for bothering u , the thing is i cant find an air filter replacement for the speedfight , so should i rock those chinese air filters that u hate XD ? thanks
you can take out the sp3 and take the fluffy part off clean and wash the foam part, but do have a look through e bay or google moped parts
mark savage yeah but the foam is cut on the middle and has a hole XD , ebay wont send to my country tho , i really wanna go for those round filters
Youssef you know I don’t like them but as long as it’s dry where you are then go for it
It will be noisier and need a bit more tuning but should be fine
hey mark thanks again for this video , as you said 3 half turns for the fuel air mix , but what about the screw with a spring on it ?
that's your idle and adjust that to keep the revs up or bring them down as you adjust the idle I have another newer video on my channel tuning in a 125 carb but it will show you how and the basics

Great vidoes!!
I have a small question
?Do you know what is the original carb settings (the idle screw, fuel and air, and the niddle place) for Peugeot Trekker 50cc
Mayan Muchnik hi bud
I have done many other videos on carbs
Watch my other carb videos bud but start with 3 half turns out as in my last video

I tried to put 3 half turns out and it make a bit of a change but i think my second adustable screw its the

Eating plugs?
So damaging or fouling them up

Hi Mark,
Just a quick question.
Doesn’t suck from the fuel vacuum then yes bud I’d replace it with another Peugeot carb
Thanks for watching I have many speedfight videos that should help all being 50cc and a few 100cc

I know gas is going into my carburetor but somethings wrong please help!
hi bud
oh dear well it's very common bud, like in my videos try some easy start in the carb and give it a go other wise
1st test open throttle full and turn over keep going if it back fires or pops it could be your piston which would need changing. i have a videos well many videos on how to do that
poss reeds as in my video
try the wet hand test and see if you do get a wet hand like in my videos
basic bud have a good watch of my videos they will help and give ideas on what to try before the head has to come off

Poldinho67slo when running it sucks the oil in as the pump pushes it so all normally goes in
Start bike and take out the pipe and it should as you rev pulse out so you know it’s working and you should have smoky oil as you rev the engine so you know it is going in bud
You could use a little tack to fit it in better and stop it coming out
Mark
Hi Mark,
I have a question about carb cleaning spray. Cheers mate!
i stick to carb cleaner bud, Halfords or A1 many other car stores do it .
other cleaner may have oils or contents that could damage the alloy carb or reeds if it gets sucking it to head!
as for petrol well it sits in petrol all day any way lol it wont get it to the jets and may clean the outside like you say
thanks for watching bud
Thanks mate
most carbs come that way so you cant mess with them. you can cut across it and then adjust but i would still clean the carb
David Cornet it can be , sure on yours you can adjust the oil mix, maybe change it a little less
Or have a Lol at your needle height as in my newest video I say about the needle
You can adjust that for better pull away to stop so much fuel getting in
But it’s more to do with the carb air in
Can you not adjust the air mix Like in my other video
Thanks for watching mark
Hi mark, how many turns for the air/petrol screw??

What was wrong with the old carb bud
Why did you change it
When you changed it did you use your old jet
Air petrol mix 3 half turns out
Is it a speedfight carb or a cheap on as they should be shut
hi do you know what size bolts is used for holding the carb because i have lost the longer bolt
8mm and its about 1" and a half but you can use like in my videos a bolt and a nut on the other side , its a bit of a bugger to get it on but will work if you use a longer bold bud
you need to get it tight on otherwise it wont run
Hi mark, I've got a peugeot vivacity 50 2t and im not sure what the problem is, when i start it from cold (using kickstart because it doesnt start with electric until its warm) it smokes like crazy for the first minute or so at idle or when i give it gas. When the bike is warm it smokes a whole lot less. Blue smoke if that helps? Please get back to me as ive no idea what it is. Cheers
hi bud so its 2t and burning a lot of 2t oil as the dont have engine oil, first what 2t oil are you using hopefully not cheap one , fuel , are you using e5 super of the e10 rubbish as in my video's and i have videos on both of these issue ...
next and if oil and fuel are ok it sound like ring damage / piston and best to take head off and take a look at them and the head for scoring
electric start we can deal with after bud
@@marksavage thanks for getting back to me mate, im using castrol 2t oil and i always fill up with e5. If it is piston rings, which it sounds like it then are they difficult to replace? Ive never really worked on a bike properly as its my first.

take you have bought a Chinese part carb, you may have to enlarge the pipe or add a bit of bigger pipe to it, on the air mix keep the air mix screw all the way in and not 3 half turns unless it runs bad
hope that helps please like and sub

Hi Mark! i have a issue with my speedfight 2, after working 15 minutes lost power and dont want to walk.

Thankssss
Hi Mark, I cleaned my carburettor properly & put it back onto my bike and sprayed easy start yet it still doesn’t want to start!! What shall I do?
madz Rt if u have fuel getting in and a wet plug with spark and still nothing ?
Try starting and keep the throttle open
If it sort of spits / pops then you are going to have to look at the piston bud

It can’t hurt
Hi mark i neeed abit of advice please mate , ive got a vivacity 3 , 50cc its got a 48 pilot jet and a 50 main jet , air fuel mix screw has to be near enough fully turned it to run to high rpm but soon as i sit on it the rpm wont go past 3 mph if that? Im lost with it haha ive checked pullys belt ect i was wondering if i need to change that pilot jet as its seems quite large but after ive read up about it it just not making any sense

Btw the bike has stock pipe and air filter stock engine
17.5 carb ? Aswell
What carb is the best to buy for a speed fight 2 50cc
id always use a speedfight carb the Chinese ones are harder to set up wit the air mix being all the way in and they can run rich.
I know they are hard to find and will be 2nd hand but if yo can buy one of them bud
its the one that looks like a tap with the clear pipe on now do u get what i mean???
A tap on the carb so that's the inlet for the oil
But as said if a shop cant fix it bud font know what help I can be
ive just put pic as my profile pic so have alook so if thats the oil inlet where does that go as the thin pipe goes from carb to pump oil tank pipe to pump then the 2 petrol ones then where does this oil inlet go
What size is the mainjet ? Is it 50 ?
standard 56

new carb as in a Peugeot one or chinse one as set up is very different , like in my carb videos , also did you change the needle and top to fit , did you put in the old jets that the ped was set up to as this is important too
