    It’s not just AI taking jobs but most middle class jobs are going overseas. These big corps send all those jobs to India, China and the Philippines. I’ve worked for 3 big corps in different industries in my life and this is what I’ve seen happen.

      My big company is laying off people and then rehiring those same positions in India. These are professional positions like tech, compliance, legal, data and other positions. We don’t have any clients or other business in India. This is just a cost savings. My job family group as of today has 180 positions. Of those 128 are in India. Only 39 are in the US. There is no way to move up professionally because this company is not offering transfers to India. Once jobs go to India and overseas, our Social Security funding is doomed. No one in India has to pay FICA taxes. Think about that a minute.

    600k jobs by 2033 is such a small number it doesn’t even make a dent in the overall market. The tech sector lost several million in the last few years and even then that was only about 5% of the overall market. So a very small percentage of American jobs will be lost in the next 9 years? Maybe 0.1-0.5%? This is news? It’s simply the natural change of technology and work trends.

    The American Corporations hate paying American workers, but they want to make top dollar off of the Economy. The balance is broken and it's obvious that Tariffs were needed long ago. Government trusted business not to get greedy.

    • @dazlederose
      @dazlederose 5 дней назад +10

      While tariffs are levied on imports, the cost is ultimately passed down to consumers. Importers raise prices to account for the additional expense, leading to higher prices on everyday goods like electronics, clothing, and food. When an imported product is subject to a tariff, the importer (such as a retailer or manufacturer) pays the tax. To cover these costs, the importer raises the price of the product sold to consumers. For example, if a $100 product faces a 25% tariff, it now costs $125, and the extra $25 burden falls on the buyer. So how are Tariffs going to help? This is why it is important to understand how Tariffs work.

      Illegal immigrants do not have debt like US college kids with student loan debt. These illegals can work for cheaper because they have no debt obligations. 2nd illegal immigrants are sent to Democrat stronghold big cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago.... because these cities are losing population. People want to leave these liberal high cost of living cities. But, the Democrats in Congress, House of Representatives are based on population. If people are leaving these states, these states will lose seats in the House of Representatives so bringing in illegals will help replace the loss of population and seats in Congress. This is why Biden is allowing illegals into America.

    Ken I'm willing to go on the show or call in to discuss this from first hand experience!!!!
    I work for a fortune 500, multi national company. I'm in the USA. The company is going through M&A's and decided to outsource thousands of corporate functions to Mexico (accounting, finance, HR, marketing, etc). I'm the last person in my accounting dept left in the USA!! Mexico has come a long way with their education. They are training their people to take our corporate (USA) jobs. Our current gov does not care about us. Until the gov discourages this, it will only continue and get worse. Low level accountants/finance/hr/marketing are being paid $200 to $250 a week in Mexico. It's not just "clerical" workers. They have bachelor degrees from Mexico. The company also has a "robotics" dept that is helping to automate the jobs in Mexico so the goal is to eventually also reduce their corporate jobs in Mexico ...
    Our tech dept is outsourced to China, Thailand/Philippines. The company help desk is now outside the country. The only tech workers left in the US in our company are executives with only a few tech managers left...

Then I was expected to come to class 5 days a week for 7 hours we had to work on cars, outside in the Florida heat. Then had to study for the certification after class. Had no energy to work afterwards and actually earn money to pay my bills and feed myself. The incentive for going through 1400 hours of hard labor for free is an apprenticeship of $15 an hour………. That’s why there’s a shortage in that industry. It’s like signing up for slavery. You’d have a better life working anywhere else. As a financial clerk, I have seen stagnation of technology in my roles due to the systems not providing specific needs and being tailored to the specific tasks. I would be surprised to be replaced by AI on that merit alone, but time will tell. I could see it happening over the long term, but not in the next 5 years at least.

    I am happy i made the right decision of taking this path. Now I am a registered nurse here earning $120/hour.

    Americans in general fail to be willing to be adaptable to the changing economy. No one owes you a factory job where you live. Get new skills, move, own your own business or have a skill someone’s willing to pay for.
    If you can adapt you can deal with your job going overseas or being automated as these things take massive amounts of time and resources. Change what value you add to the world and you’ll outpace these forces.
    Sadly the US glamourizes the whole “my grandpa was a coal miner, my dad was a coal miner, I’m a coal miner, I want my kid to follow in my footsteps 🤔
