It's the "JoJo" rig. "All" you need (not that this is cheap/easy to acquire, lol) is a "black" label Boss OC-2 Octaver pedal with the OCT 1 knob all the way up and the OCT 2 and DRY knobs all the way off. That gives the synth tone. The filtering (being controlled by an expression pedal) is being done with a Moog Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter pedal. Although an Iron Ether Xerograph can also be used in that role. Although, they're also pretty expensive and difficult to find, lol. He's also likely using a touch of some kind of overdrive or distortion either from a pedal or his amp. That though is far less crucial to acquiring that bass guitar sound than the Boss OC-2 and Low Pass Filter pedals. If you get those, any decent drive will do.

Jojo is great and we know. Though what is not pointed out is that the group is great. The total result is beautiful. it’s always so rewarding watching Jojo play - someone with decades of both instrumental mastery AND complete dedication to the practical and philosophical advancement of percussion and music as a whole. we don’t deserve Jojo.
Saw Nerve at the Halifax Jazz Festival many moons ago. As a Drum and Bass fan I was blown away - who was this guy who could play all those insanely fast grooves on an actual kit? Amazing....
I've seen this tune played live a few times and it's different every time because that's the way Nerve operates, with all the improvisations. Good stuff.
I remember watching Jojo at the drumming festival when I was a younger kid. I recently ran back into his work and I’m blown away and going on a jojo mayer binge 😂😌
His kit is so cool and unique. Really love the way he uses those BT-1 bar triggers. Seeing them live was so so so good. I went into knowing nothing about them. A drummer friend took me because he had an extra ticket and I was so so grateful that he did. I had heard of Jojo and seen him in drumming magazines but had no idea about what kind of music he played. I didn’t see he Pearl syncussion replica. Also he only uses a Roland TM-2 module, so mind blowing. I’m surprised Why he wouldn’t want a TM-6 pro for his kit. It would have much more control over his sounds, direct sound outputs, be able to layer trigger sounds with acoustic drums
Got to see them live at the Ardmore in PA and they set up with each member in a different part of the room so you could stand behind Jojo and walk around and watch each musician individually. It was really cool and Jojo put on an absolute masterclass. Got to smoke a cigarette with him after the show, super dope.

Human drum machine. I love the mix of acoustic and electric drums in his setup. That electric left pedal really works well for the bass lines.
💯💕💕
He is still getting better. Beautiful touch.
Masterpiece. His drum kit is his dance floor. All about technic and musicality
That's probably the best synth bass tone I've ever heard come out of an electric bass
Heavy phaser, heavy enveloper, auto filter… sounds like they took a heavy synth effect and modified it to suit the bass
oc-2 + phaser maybe something else
