Just wanted to mention it as it's most often mentioned of it being an issue. And game wise I agree. But from a realistic standpoint... crash welding is a very normal and often occurrence with banger racing and car rodeos/derbies.
With pro-mod derby cars, the front is raises so you have bumper and fender clearance. And with it raised, people can't get over your front bumper, and destroy the radiator. And the rear is shaped with that downward slope for additional strength, and increased visibility. However, rules can be different for these cars from state to state
It also can go down, rule wise, to almost doing nothing to the cars. There are groups around the US trying to standardize the rules, but each group wants theirs to be the standard. So you end up going by the rules the promoter decides.
It can happen in demo derbies that it will come down to a slow bumping match between two crippled vehicles. It doesn't happen so much in the UK as the regulations are designed more to allow vehicles to fail spectacularly rather than keep grimly clinging to life. It does happen, though, and the vehicles that do that tend to get either banned or heavily penalised in the rules...
The slow dragging out almost reminds me of when I go to a big show I go that's a couple hours south of where I live, since heats can last upwards of a 30 to 45 minutes and features over an hour and a half almost two hours, and the lift is called "tilt" which is used to help bend and possibly bust a tire rod
Lifted front is called pitching also known as tilting it helps make the front in stronger and the lowered rear end is to go under other cars to destroy or hurt a arms or rear ends
In America that cars called a crown Vic . the front end sits tall because they " tilted the frame" stock frames go down to the ground on hard impacts . so they tilt the frame to make it bend upwards like the back half does . most people wouldn't believe some people put 20 -30 thousand in parts in these cars in real life . custom motors / trans/ rear ends / sliding drive shafts/ cages. The game designer rocks . now bring it to ps4
Very cool mod and this is pretty much how the very built cars in pro mod classes work to gettting that bent and the owners out the car back together and take it out for a couple of more derbies. I have seen people get 5 or 6 runs on cars that get pretty bent up and out of shape. Thanks for sharing Alex.
Derby driver here, front is not raised for any reason. It's the rear being tilted down so you can get opponent's tires reversing into them. Typically it will be pointed at the edges if allowed.
It isn't a BeamNG derby without Alex forgetting that over-reversing into cars eventually bends the rear down to the point where the chassis is scraping the group and slow down the car!
I’ve been using the fair grounds mod for a while but how do these modded derby cars work with the fair grounds? Is it already compatible or do I have to enable modded vehicles or something?
The reason the are “lifted” in the front is because derby drivers will lower the frame 2-4 inches so the bumper is lower, it hardens the car but the body wont tilt with the frame so it looks “lifted”
I want this game, but I have to play on keyboard and I don't know if my computer can run the advanced physics. But I do want a car with the full steam train effect but not break the engine.
The ending is very realistic. Derbies typically end with two cars crawling around lightly hitting each other until one overheats
derek840378 I’m just lucky then

Also the front of crown vic's tend to push down with heavy bumpers if they aren't tilted up.

The lifted front and lowered rear is to protect the radiator.
Why not just relocate it to the back seat area?
@@DjDolHaus86 That's usually where the fuel tank ends up in a real demolition derby car.
@@mpf1947 that's a fairly normal place for a fuel tank in most cars
@@gwynnejustice8263 no it not the lifed front end mean it tilted and it makes the front alot stronger
Allot of Derby's require you to have the radiator in the stock location so you have to find other means in order to protect it

I am glad you made a comment on hitting the opponent's driver side door, awesome video! Love it all man
Been wanting to see a video on this mod for ages, one of my favorite BeamNG mods
They bend the trunks in like that so when hit from the back the body bends upwards
cool video!
I have now started saying "Hello" the same way as you're intro whenever I answer the phone. It's contagious.
Same here really
@@sebastienwoods3152 Helloooooo, and welcome TO the phone call.

Yeah, but they REALLY look at you funny in the States. They take it more instride in Canada.

The first vehicle down to 3 wheels usually wins.

Amazing Austin Powers ending!!!
More of this please, I love these videos.
They need this in multiplayer for ps4 and Xbox . very cool and real looking compared to other games
Sooooo Realistic
I remember goin to demo derbies as a kid.. TONS of fun, I've seen cars where there boot get SOO mangled, it has practically folded straight UP!!🤣🤣

Was fun watching this you should do more of these
I love your Beamng videos, keep it up!
When you start a derby your supposed to back up into the person behind you

It's the opposite, most guys run aftermarket spindles and tilt the front down which makes the car sit high in the front.
Gwynne Justice I’ve never sent that, guess it’s a regional thing
@@ryanbirdman1 It's big in Kicker classes in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.

Drake VEVO just download the mod and you'll see the nodaksmack option in the mods area
The reason the are “lifted” in the front is because derby drivers will lower the frame 2-4 inches so the bumper is lower, it hardens the car but the body wont tilt with the frame so it looks “lifted”
The front end is raised in derby cars so you don’t pop your radiator and it helps it bend upwards instead of into the ground
That cheesy move for the win in the last one... :)
more of demolition derby i love it
Anyone else waiting for the new car video of the Audi
I just got BeamNG drive :)
How do you get to down load it been trying to get it but cant
31:02 it's beginning it's transformation to The back to the Future hover car
The gasser style is for protecting the radiator and the pointy bumper can take wheels off
Not just that, it also makes the front end harder.
realistic ;)
awesome video Alex
Odd you don't pronounce it 'darby'. Have the clarks in Hartfordshire been consulted?
I want this game, but I have to play on keyboard and I don't know if my computer can run the advanced physics. But I do want a car with the full steam train effect but not break the engine.
the front is up like that to protect your altinator belt so your batery can stay charged to drive and to protect you radiators
try it with all electric cars
The lower back ends is to also hit the tires instead of fenders
2nd Round AI got smart
Also if the car bends down it won’t kill the engine and drive line
Bending down isn't good anyways
Can u play more Beamng Drive please? Thanks
Your chassis wasnt bent your driver side axle is broken and was preventing you from moving fast
There is more to the RDP mod if you do patreon for it.
If your radiator hose lets loose, then it's all over.
Not exactly, most guys run small block Chevy engines that can handle heat.
Where do I get the bm drive?
How can I play this ?
