I said the same thing! Her excitement level was on 10. Even in the press conference, she was excited that just tells you how much she wanted to beat team USA lol
Wouldn't you be? Imagine being publically snubbed in front of the whole world, and then beating the people who snubbed you. She's respectful about it, but you can tell CC really wanted to beat team USA
She had been scared by the false narratives her fans created telling her nobody likes her in the league bla bla... It is like she just found out that the vets are actually nice and fun to be around. People like Aja Wilson can be intimidating from far but are actually the funniest in person.
She had a good game with 10 assists & leading the team, but wasn’t hitting her outside shot. If she made half of them it would have been a blowout win.

Clark and Reece just proved that they could have filled the 11th and 12ths spot on the Olympic team, better than the current 11th and 12th slot.. The experience of the Olympic for these two young women would have brought unsurpassed benefits for all..
Caitlin should absolutely be on the USA team. A big part of the Olympics is building up lesser watched sports, women’s basketball has an absolute superstar right now and they whiffed on this.

I wish the Allstars went ahead and beat the USA team by 20 or 30pts, instead of goofing around at the end of the game. So the WNBA would make so roster changes. That end score might make them stick with that roster, thinking the team jus needa play better or get a little more chemistry together.

I was talking to someone about that. They enjoy watching each other play, and CC is unselfish.
How many years does Arike have left on her current deal before she can become a free agent? I think if the Fever go past the first round of the playoffs many free agents just might want to come play with CC. I also believe that Arike removed herself from consideration to US National team because of the political BS. Right after CC was snubbed, that shows you where she stands with the league and it's activism.
And Clark?
That interview was smooth! She's so grounded, and I think her sincerity in everything that she say do come through a lot. And that what makes each interview just so seamless.

Keep an eye on Clark. She’s been playing for a year straight. That’s NBA endurance. Much longer than the wnba plays. CC getting her first long break and will be replenished coming back, she may have the legs now to hit consistent 3s. Her passing game is always consistent but if her 3 ball becomes that as well then it’s over

So yes I think she was having more fun, because the game is literally meaningless. Do I think she would’ve liked to make some if not all of her shots? Duh cos why else would she make them in the first place but it also isn’t the end of the world if she doesn’t and that was clear by simply looking at the smile on her face when she missed

What an embarrassment for Team USA! They got exactly what they deserved! The likes of Dinosaur-asi and Butch Reeves will never live this down, this will be their legacy. Clearly the people in charge of selecting the best team to send to the Olympics failed miserably and should be fired. They've already assured themselves of little to no fan support, and even if they win the gold, they won't be the best team.

Her 3 has been off for like 4 games now, and she's still managed to score. She HAS been going for midrange shots, layups, and a few 3s near the line.
She hasnt *lost* her range. She just needs a break. She's not the only one in the league who is missing more as the season goes on, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Besides, she literally said she plans to train and get ready for the 2nd half.

@espn She handled it well. TeamUSA and the WNBA were icing Clark at the end. I only watched the 4th. but they were dicking around trying not to stop the clock so clark couldn't get in. not passing her the rock, and muffing passes trying to make her get a turnover. Miller noticed some of it and said something to sue bird about it. After that demonstration of sportsmanship none of the players on the court tonight deserve to go to the olympics. I would rather we forfeit then to let them represent my country.

Clark definitely needs to rest. A lot of players have bumps and bruises and can use a rest. I would guess all the rookies are very tired. It's a long break, probably about 2 weeks would be perfect over 1 month. But going to the Olympics would probably burn out some of the WNBA team. I get it talent-wise, they have the talent.

I know people are mad because of the team representing the United States but this is not for your accomplishments in 1/2 of a season or for one season. This is the team they've been grooming since the last Olympics more or less. You have the players you want and then you maneuver a couple here and there. It doesn't matter how they looked tonight because they are going to spank every team they play. Angel and Caitlin if they keep up the good work will definitely be on the next squad. I mean it's all about politicking anyways because Candace Parker was not on the last squad.
