I first heard this song when two of my classmates danced to it for our senior year performance, and I just had to find it. So glad to have heard this amazing song by such an amazing artist.
Oh god. This song is incredible. That moment : 1:43 is like...while listening from it, you can totally picture yourself walking in your city on slow motion with some wind in your hair while the entiere world is craking, being destroyed, while people are runing everywhere, while fire illuminates more and more your face but you keep walking ignoring the entire universe, because listening to this music gives you the impression of being absolutely fucking badass, extremly strong. Thanks Chelsea Wolfe for your incredible world within you invite us. You're an amazing artist (and sorry for my broken ensligh).
this song is like a ritual of mourning. the whole album basically. what really amazes me is how evocative her music on this album is. it's an album about autumn and anticipation of spring. the whole palette of these feelings is encapsulated in this song. it's really amazing how aptly Chelsea managed to capture the feelings of autumn on "Abyss"
Nothing will keep us apart I said nothing will keep us apart I know that you'll find me there After the fall I know that you're waiting I know that you'll find me there After the fall I know that you're waiting Ready to run Chasing the sun I can't wake up Scream and run Don't let them win Nothing will keep us apart I know that you'll find me there After the fall I know that you're waiting I know that you'll find me there After the fall I know that you're waiting Ready to run Chasing the sun I can't wake up Scream and run Don't let them win Nothing will keep us apart Go on, drive into the morning Never give up Never give in
Starting at 3:45...wwwoooooowwwwwoooooow...mind blowing...body flowing...Sublime and addictive voice/sounds. Thank you Chelsea for making me sooooo much happier with your breathtaking music! You are such an inspiration!
Wow! This song is two years old… the first time I heard it was when Disney used it for its TV spot trailer for the Live-action Beauty and the Beast this year... just wow!
Yeeeees. I was really worried when I heard Iron Moon for the first time; I had no context or anything like that to start from, so the song's new sound and direction didn't make any sense to me. But with Carrion Flowers and now this song, I am so pumped and confident that this album will be amazing. It's starting to come together for me, and I cannot wait to hear Abyss in its entirety when it finally comes out!
soldierofsoul86 You are absolutely right, but I didn't say "message." "Message" is a little too tactile for the idea I meant. I guess when I say "context," I mean... "inspirational direction?" Basically, it had been such a long time (2 years, ::GASP::) since I had heard anything new that I had no idea what she was going to sound like today; I knew it would still be Chelsea Wolfe, though. It's kind of like when you have a relative that you knew when he was a kid, but then you lost contact for a long time, and then you see him again and he looks really different, but still reminiscent of what he used to look like. With this music, I could definitely tell it was Chelsea Wolfe, but she's grown since her previous album and, as expected, sounds different. I think that's a really good thing. I was just surprised because I wasn't expecting the "post-Pain Is Beauty" Wolfe music to sound like this. I'm certainly pleased now that I have heard more of the album, and have a better feel for what it will sound like.
Was kinda hoping for a Norah Jones cover but this is incredible too. This might be one of my favorite albums of the year, this has to be one of my favorite songs she's ever released
Anhedonia did that to me too... she is otherworldly... her music is so powerful and emotional... she goes places most are too afraid to go I think... and I love it. So deep
I heard this song whilst visiting the local head shop to replenish my stash of hand-dipped incense. I asked two clerks what the name of the song was - they didn't know. A third clerk showed up just before I left and told me. Bought it on iTunes while at red lights on the way home. Haven't stopped playing it all night tonight (now 12:23 AM). Great stuff.
Sublime disco, voz y sonidos.
1:43 Wow, it really kicks in! Chelsea makes such wondrously dark soundscapes.
And then again at 4:18 😌🖤
This song blows me away every time I listen to it.
Good Girls continue giving me awesome new music tips....stunning
same here, some songs are just gold, this is one of them
Same here, good girls
When I first heard her song on good girls I thought it was Billie Eilish singing.
Billie wishes
ikr??? Same!!

It’s nice to know young people have good taste in music these days. Now get off my lawn, ya young whippersnapper! 😁

Nothing will keep us apart
I said nothing will keep us apart
I know that you'll find me there
After the fall
I know that you're waiting
I know that you'll find me there
After the fall
I know that you're waiting
Ready to run
Chasing the sun
I can't wake up
Scream and run
Don't let them win
Nothing will keep us apart
I know that you'll find me there
After the fall
I know that you're waiting
I know that you'll find me there
After the fall
I know that you're waiting
Ready to run
Chasing the sun
I can't wake up
Scream and run
Don't let them win
Nothing will keep us apart
Go on, drive into the morning
Never give up
Never give in
This album is gonna be a masterpiece

A dark, gothic masterpiece!
Anthi Papadimatou agree on that
Sounds like "All is full of love", Bjork. With doom elements. Luv it !!!!!!
i think of Bjork sometimes too when i hear Chelsea.
Chelsea's incorporating drops and rinse outs now. I ecstatically approve.

Tom Bell In what way?
playitsofast Haha. Definitely, I can hear that. Like, "Pale on Pale" style.
playitsofast Thanks!
Iron Moon was amazing. Different sound does not automatically mean different message.
