I applied for my card the 2nd week it was offered and haven't been given any update or additional information. In addition, I have been paying $5 per month for Gold and when I asked RH support about the annual plan, they acted like they didn't no anything about an annual plan. It is odd, to say the least.
I got my offer the other day and immediately signed up, card should be arriving in a couple of weeks but you can use the app for purchases and such like he explained. I signed up in late March btw so it was 3.5 months for me to get the offer. I also had the authentication issues but it eventually went through - haven’t had any other problem with the app at all though!

How long were you on the waitlist? Also, would you say your Gold credit card limit is more or less of your Robinhood portfolio?
Lucky!! Awesome you got it! I did get 10 referrals in progress and I applied the first day the card was announced but no luck yet 😢 I too am paying month to month and have been a Robinhood user since around 10 years now.

From the day I first posted about the card til now, I think it was around a month
Just to be fair to Robinhood, the requirement for an annual subscription to Robinhood Gold is not new. When I checked out the card and went on the waitlist several weeks ago I saw that requirement. Specifically, the message read that you do not need to be a RH Gold member to go on the waitlist or to apply for the card, but upon acceptance you will be charged $50 for the annual membership to RH Gold.
I took notice of it but didn't care, as I plan to do the annual subscription anyway to save the $10

I signed up as soon as the card was available, still on the waitlist..I keep my credit frozen, wonder if that has anything to do with it?
did they run a hard inquiry on your credit? Which credit bureau did they pull? Thank you.
I got mine yesterday. If they ran a hard inquiry on my credit, they didn't make it obvious to me. I wouldn't be surprised if they did though.
Wait I just now saw that 3 days ago my credit dropped from 780 to 761, so maybe they did check it lol
@@liammckenna1479 That seems like a big drop for an inquiry, an inquiry usually shaves 5-8 points. Did you not receive a notification that you had a hard inquiry? Usually you get a notification, in this case should be from Experian.

I have transferred my taxable account to Robinhood. Just submitted a request to have my Roth transferred. Hoping robinhood stays legit.... Hopefully the credit card works and a functional banking set up is available at some point. Perhaps SoFi and Robinhood should partner?

Sooo what happens to the card if you cancel gold later on? Also, how does that $50 gold fee work if you paid for gold annual fee already?
I'm thinking they will reduce your cash back % if you end up opting out of gold in the future.
I assume you lose functionality of the card, since it's a prerequisite.
If you pre-pay a year of gold then cancel it I assume you can use the card for as long as the gold membership is active.
What is the APR for having the card/acc?

No. $50 is the annual subscription fee for Robinhood gold and it is charged to your new card.
