    Robinhood is good for just trading. Acorns is good for banking and checking. The apy for checking and savings is almost unmatched 3% checking 5% savings is fire.

    Robinhood gold member since 2021 and it’s been amazing. Been paying 5 a month since then but now the reduced priced of 50 a year makes it even more of a steal. Awesome video. Glad I don’t use acorns

      How do you get the $50/year? Is that only if you get the credit card?

    Getting this setup in Acorns is super clunky. The non Might Oak checking dosn't qualify for the fee waver with $250 direct deposit. So I have to wait 2 weeks to make sure my DD doesn't go into the old checking I need to close. After that I'll close the account, open the new Might Oak checking and wait another two weeks for the DD to get setup, meanwhile I'm getting the monthly fee charged while this whole process takes place.

      Yeah they should have made it smoother to setup

    Let’s end the war believe we would love to see a results on going with acorns and then going with choosing your own stocks to see the gains dividends and see if one is worth it. Only thing I will say for negatives is with other apps like robinhood you have to constantly move money or split the money when adding to different stocks acorns does it for you without you needing to play around do math on splits.

      Yeah idk why Robinhood doesn't build a portfolio feature that breaks it into your chosen allocation amounts for you. They totally could.

      It’s not a big deal. Specially that acorn offer only EFT and very limited stock option on premium plan. On top of it it’s take sometime weeks to feel your new added position on Acorn 🤢🤮. And you pay for that $9 a month. Going to switch back to $3 plan or even close completely account. Even pay $3 that someone for you put money in EFT is stupid

    I don't understand how RH IRA match works. I was thinking I would just start a new IRA over at RH because my one at fidelity is regrettably locked in with Fidelity branded TDF's. So with that in mind, do i need to deposit $7000 lump sum in order to get the 3 % match or can I pay into it month to month this tax season. Im only confused because of that transfer/roll-over deal that RH also had sounded like a lump sum deal.

    • @BrendanEvan
      @BrendanEvan  Месяц назад +2

      Each contribution gets matched, so you don't have to go a $7k lump sum

    Is it true that in 2025 IRA is going to be 10,000

    • @BrendanEvan
      @BrendanEvan  10 дней назад

      I just did a little reading and research to be able to respond to your question, from what I saw, I would expect the contribution limit for 2025 to remain at $7000 per year.
      You may have seen a headline mentioning the catch-up contribution limit being $10,000. So if you’re over 50, yes.

      Yes up to the annual contribution limit

    • @Aliveandfighting1
      @Aliveandfighting1 10 дней назад

      They only match that percentage of what your amount invested is though. 1 % or 3% of 100 is 1 or 3 dollars.
