Acorns is more consistent and faster than Robinhood. Robinhood on the other hand is slow and fails all my round-ups. I remember I had to call them to tell them to fund me the roundups I had and that they all failed. I really think Robinhood needs to get better with their system-related stuff. Also, Robinhood should offer a metal card as well. I don't know why they don't.

I was gona sign up for an acorn account yesterday with an oak card, now the $3 a month is gone and i can pick between either $5 or $9 a month subscription. Its crazy how a business will just blatantly risk loosing a new customer just to test a new customers intelligence and patience. Like do they think im fucking stupid? Do they think i didnt look them up and know everyone is paying $1-$3? Why would they charge more all of a sudden? Because they dont need more customers????????????

You can still pick the $3 subscription but you won’t get the mighty oak card. I agree, anyone in the $3-$9 should be entitled to the mighty oak card. Why alienate a certain subscription tier?

Can I deposit $250 or more from Wells Fargo to Acorns every month to waive the monthly fee with the Mighty Oak Card?

The original Acorns Debit Card is similar to the Mighty Oak Card! I like the Mighty Oak Card better than the current green debt card that they have.

Citibank has a monthly service fee that you waive but under certain conditions. It's the same for some other traditional banks.

I’m not a material expert, but isn’t tungsten brittle at room temperature? I’m sure the card isn’t pure tungsten, but why not just make it out of stainless steel. Tungsten is also apparently good for super high heat applications, and I bet most people’s wallet has never been hotter than 100F. Seem like such a buzz word marketing gimmick to me.

So how many people use these for all their banking? 48 year old here nervous about making the jump, granted 99% of banking is online now even with the brick and mortar banks.
