I'm no scientist, but I can't imagine that a super stressed out chicken living in cramped inhumane conditions could produce an egg that is good for you.
Hello, my brother. I am Mazen from Iraq. I work as a breeder in chicken fattening farms for about 13 years. I have a lot of experience in this. How can I work in Canada or even America, even if the work is without pay. Note that I am 53 years old.
The hens have their coops (large barns) that they are in during any inclement weather, however we never have to deal with snow as this farm is located in Florida!
@@TheFarmacy so basically they are just allowed to go out when the weather is good enough. I just wondering if bad weather goes bad for quite long period, isn't affect the production. Me myself I run a small layer duck farm here in Indonesia. At first I do let them go. Then due to that weather condition, I finally decided to keep them in the barn, as the behavior chaning really affect the production.
I got a bit help by viewing this video. I have been watching many videos about chicken eggs farming. I am looking for more references to set up chicken eggs farming. I think the free range farming is the best idea to get the good quality of eggs. I hope to get more info from your videos about what I need. Thanks a lot for your videos.
Thank you so much for watching! Let us know if you have any specific questions and will do our best to help you 😊 Glad to hear you’re getting a chicken farm going!
@@TheFarmacy I am From West Papua. Now I am working with the plan including the budget plan. And start to prepare the land/pasture. I have been searching more info about Chicken Egg Farming. I got to the conclusion that Free Range might be the great and probably the best idea for the good quality of egg productions. I have less knowledge of Chicken Farming. But I can search through internet and got info from all over the world. If you can give me more advice of how to start, which one is good. Should I start with hatchery or one day age of chicken or start with the 15 to 16 weeks age of the chicken? How to prepare chicken coop? I plan to start with a thousand chicken. What about the food. here the price of food is so expensive. maybe you have an alternative solution. I have been looking for the best nesting boxes that I can build so that keep the egg clean and no cracks. If you have idea about it would be great. another question also how the way they maintain the pup or the dirt's from the coop? What about the feeding and drinking system? How tall the fence that should be build around the chicken farming? Do I need to give vaccine for the chicken? I saw they use machine in collecting process. here is still very expensive I don't know if we can creatively build one :) If you can help to come up with this explanation on your new video it would be great. Sorry, if my English wasn't clear. Thank you very much for your help. See you later.
We have experienced something new. Eggs went missing a few weeks ago. We thought skunk, fox, possum, etc. then all the eggs were gone 2 mornings in a row. No broken shells. We’re talking between 30-50 eggs a day. We put a camera up. We were shocked. A hooded human entered our chicken house and took all the eggs. We have never experienced humans stealing eggs. I mean they are so cheap. We sell them for 3$ a dozen. I want to con front the person but my wife is against that. Any advice. My customers depend on my eggs.
Predatory birds are a problem for the farmers, so they do have limited time outdoors and their coops are closed at night. They also have enclosures for the chickens to have fresh air and be outdoors but to keep predators out.
If you've ever owned a flock of chickens, particularly in Florida, predators like coyotes, foxes, etc are a real problem. And once these predators find a flock, they can kill hoards of them in one night. The enclosures they are kept in are enormous, clean, and still allow outdoor access. This is not like the cages that are used in factory big ag farming where the animals cannot even stand in their own cage. It is absolutely in the best interest of the chicken that they have an enclosure for mornings and evenings when they are most vulnerable to predators.
Such happy birds. Great to see kind, sustainable, healthy farming. Thanks for sharing!
Thank YOU for watching! They are very happy hens, and we are glad to know local farmers that really love what they do!
Happy maybe...until they are about to get their throat sliced. No excuse for animal cruelty. Nobody needs meat to live.
Thank you for caring for the chickens 🐓❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for watching! We love the happy hens too :)
Thank you for the tour and I loved the fact that the difference between pasture raised and cage free eggs was throughly explained!!
Thank you for watching! It's nice to have real local farms around that are willing to show us how all of this really works :)
how many birds are on the farm and what's the stocking density (birds per square foot of an area)?
Amazing I'm from 🇮🇳🇮🇳👳 India
Thanks for watching all the way over in India!

Very interesting. I am trying to find freeze dried eggs from chickens allowed to be pastured. Do you have any recommendations where I can purchase?
wait, what are you gonna do with those?

How to deal with weather? Raining season, snow, storm...

Hi, do you need extra hands, do you take volunteers? Would be so grateful for the experience to live on such a farm and learn.
If you contact Lake Meadow Naturals farm they will be able to help you with that question!

Here in Hawaii a dozen local eggs are around 6-8$ per dozen.

Oh a cage is ok if it’s for their safety. Sounds like government side talk.
