  • Our nation is waking up, seeing the gaping cracks in its factory farm system. Now, people are turning to regenerative farms as ethical food sources. We share our story of farm life and the meaning we gain from this sustainable, ethical approach to living off the land.
We are a family of four growing our small farm. We share our ethics and philosophies, reveal unconventional methods (we fast our chickens!), and go through an entire season of raising chickens on pasture.

    **Our Farm**
ZOE Farms is a family-run farm following globally recognized best practices in producing food the way nature intended. We believe that food, when grown in accordance with the laws of natural systems, can heal our bodies and our lands at the same time.
    **A bit of reading**
According to Wikipedia (you know, the most reliable source on the internet), regenerative agriculture is “a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. It focuses on topsoil regeneration, increasing biodiversity, improving the water cycle, enhancing ecosystem services, supporting biosequestration, increasing resilience to climate change, and strengthening the health and vitality of farm soil. Practices include recycling as much farm waste as possible and adding composted material from sources outside the farm.” There are many other words for these methods: holistic farming, pasture cropping, silvopasture, pastured poultry, permaculture, natural sequence farming, polyculture, no till farming, carbon farming, sustainable farming, and lunatic farming.
    **A Special Thank You**
This new chapter of our lives is made possible by a growing community of families in Northeast Ohio. These supporters have decided to make the food we grow a part of their everyday lives. We are forever grateful for the opportunities you have provided for our family to experience this Life Out Loud.

Catching up on episodes - this was so good! Your editing and shooting- love the mix of slow motion and the pacing of the narration. I’m happy to be one of the people who knows just how genuine this is - though it really comes through in the video. Great job!
