Cleaner doesn't mean prettier and definitely not macOS-like.

he didn't say the goal was to make windows 11 cleaner.
the goal was to make windows 11 more prettier
also _sometimes_ cleaner means prettier, and also in my opinion macOS is prettier and cleaner than Windows 11
Round edge taskbar... that brings me back to an old WinVista mockup called Aeroreloaded Flickr, it had the glass theme, taskbar was beautiful.. will definitely give this a go for nostalgia.
i think we have different meanings for 'minimal'
as for me, what i do (in windows10) is:
- hide desktop icons
- remove almost items on taskbar
- install TranslucentTB and Fliqlo. maybe a nice wallpaper if i'm feeling creative
that's it. it's not much, but that is my take on it being minimal
same for me!! but my taskbar is on the top of my screen
I am still searching the minimal balance so to speak, I think installing any ram / cpu hungry software is contra productive for example
@@flyingaviator8158 same! i'm on a low-end machine myself, that is why being minimal is more of a necessity rather than just for the looks. one or two additional programs work for me :)
I dont know why people think in minimal and make Windows looks like Mac
@@uhurunuru6609 that aint minimal thats maximal 💀
I just used TranslucentTB and the Jaxcore Modular Clock Widget. It looks cleaner. I like to keep the Windows feel in my desktop.
I dont know what all the people are saying. If they dont like it, they dont need to do it, and for me i personally really enjoy it like that and you earned a new sub + like!
same bro this is really nice
the way how you explain the whole thing is amazing I can easily follow you thankyou so much it is beautiful
Coming form just a Macbook this was really helpful because I recently built a PC and am using it alongside my Mac, really confusing to switch platforms every 10 minutes but now I don't get a headache :)
I didn't know that Dropdown was a thing! Definitely makes my setup nicer.
Wow Thank you for this. It is really helpful in winters. My laptop really keeps the room warm.
lol
It's good to know that Win11 has some customization features that Win10 didn't have (or that was to difficult to use). It looks great, congrats, reminds of Gnome dektop environment (one of the many Linux desktop environments)

A quick question is this a heavy task for a laptop with i3 10th gen 8gb ram and 256gb ssd?
@@manishkumarmondal7213 nope, its just some widgets, your laptop should be okay
Thank so much for the vid, it looks so clean
Thanks you dude, im now feelin good myself better before desing.
for the comments saying how it previously cleaner, a lot of people prefer the interface look of macOS and find it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye (myself included), which can give that cleaner effect. if you don't like it, click off. this was a helpful and straightforward tutorial, thank you.
You're right on saying that if people don't like it, then click off. Some are just pointing out the fact that it pretty much is just turning windows into Big Sur. With the video titled the way it is, it kind of makes subtle dig at how MacOS looks better compared to W11. Don't come at people just because they pointed things out lol
People arent saying they dont like it. We all agree it is beautiful, but the title says "how to turn windows 11 more minimal" and it is not more minimal, its just more beautiful
Ok. but the title says it was going to minimal and better. And it got bloated and ugly instead
I was expecting minimal, not more.
the title is inappropriate, that's all.
I have been waiting for this so long
Thank you! It looks amazing
for the cursor you can go to mouse advanced settings and change
yes but it will be pixel and it have the windows animations
Dunno if someone already said but for backgrounds you can also use lively wallpaper for free (or wallpaper engine for around 4€)
Thanks a lot for specifically showing Droptop 4. It happened this way that I have most of other things installed but I always felt something was missing. Now, when I installed Droptop 4 I realized what was missing. Everything feels complete now. Thanks for the video!

Very nice!!! Love this!
found alot of really cool rainmeter skins thanks to this video!! thank you
Thank you so much! I've been spoiled by Gnome 40, and this is basically what I wanted. The windows 11 taskbar is frustrating and useless. I need a slim top bar for date/time/settings, and the bottom reserved for apps. Anything else is wasting space.
You are welcome!
@@invinsibleviper6799 on your keyboard press ctrl+alt+delete then open task manager, in task manager find taskbar xi and end the process. Then find the folder where you have taskbar xi exe and delete it, reboot
Everything was very nice. However, I would like to recommend Numix Cursors instead. They look much more aesthetic and fit the minimalistic feel that we are aiming for.
Thank you for the recommendation! Loving this
why is your voice so calming and thanks now windows 11 finally looks good
Love the clock at the Home Screen!

Once MS gets their shit together and implements Mica and dark mode all across, it will avtually look good for the first time in years. The new experimental, Mica-enabled look for Edge is probably the best looking browser for Windows out there. If it comes to the Office apps, and they refresh all that old legacy stuff across the OS as well, it would be good. But I don't have my hopes up considering MS's history the last 10 years...
God no I would prefer Material over their Mica design system, much better user experience. But honestly I wouldn't be too hyped, when they announced Fluent (which is W10 design system used in Universal Windows App like Settings, Display, MS Store, etc...) they still didn't update legacy software. New Windows versions are still shipped with non-updated Windows Vista's age old environment apps like Control Panel, Task Manager, Firewall and Registry...
Dark Mode is absolute dog shit. Anyone who thinks that the OS should only have Dark Mode deserves a brain surgery.
Really cool, I liked how you used it to make it look like a Mac.
just awesome. it looks so clean !!!!!!!!!!
Nice and clean! Is there any performance hit using those tools? I'm new to rainmeter.
Nope!
You lose a lot of vertical space here with Droptop as top bar and Windows taskbar at the bottom. I wish MS would just add the option for the taskbar to behave more like a dock so the whole Droptop + taskbar thing would make more sense. This is the sort of stuff that makes me pine for my old Linux + KDE setup where there are no customization compromises.
Just enable auto hide taskbar

to get the cursor you can also:

Nice! Question: both with TaskbarXI (and RoundedTB, which I tried before), when applied, my "Start" icon disappear from the taskbar, unlike what happens to you. I use Windows 11 Home, version 10.0.22621. Any idea why this happens?
Thank you for your inspiration 💕🙏😃
Woah bro my Windows 10 became so much more aesthetic!

I'll go try that later this evening. It's looks pretty neat!
Already tried it. Looking sick so far. My only concern is that whenever I try to run Rainmeter, the app won't run/won't appear on the taskbar. Can you help me sort it out?
I mean I already think windows 11 looks pretty good, but this is a good tutorial on making windows 11 look like macos lol
yeah
you can see at the top of the after at the beginning of the video there is a literal apple logo in the top left corner lol
THIS IS AMAZING I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I FELL IN LOVE
thank you so much sir, It really help for me!
my taskbar is too glitchy, only shows 1 app, sometimes 1 or 2, idk why.
boss, what if the task bar doesnt show fully and it shrinks as we open new apps
Than you, looks awesome!
Thank you for the Tutorial
how do i make my taskbar appear over apps? I liked to make the taskbar more minimal, but i think it would be more beautiful if i could see all the apps in full mode with the taskbar over them.
There is a problem for the TaskbarIX the Taskbar becomes very small and only shows the half of my taskbar icons..
Have you found any fix for it I am having the same issue
thanks it rly helped (:
Thanks men, my destop look so much better now
I love how he says Download
cool video, i like how the video is 11 minutes long 😎
i really like the droptop thank you so much you made my laptop look like macos
RoundedTB can make taskbar look exactly the same AND it has an option built-it that allows you to hover your courser over bottom right conor to see time and date.
Yes, but RoundedTB looks worse due to the fact there's no AA.
Thanks for the video, now my desktop looks awesome and clean, *but with some costs:*
1. *Since I installed everything, every half an hour or so my screen suddenly starts glitching.* When I minimize all windows and go to desktop menu, it stops glitching, which seems to be caused because TaskbarXI stops working somehow, given in that moment the taskbar comes back to its default state.
2. Similar to 1, I experienced some issues with Droptop 4, or Rainmeter or whatever. One of these programs also seems to stop working suddenly, because *sometimes I go to the desktop menu and see that the climate doesn't load.*
3. Again, like in 2, the music widget just won't work most times. It just doesn't detect any music I play. *This one worked after I reinstalled Droptop 4, Rainmeter and Jax Core, but it went back to the same bug after some time.*
*Conclussion:* I dunno _whether I did something wrong by accident, or there's some Windows configuration / update I don't know about that's preventing the stability of the programs,_ but all these problems share 1 similarity: *they stop working after some time.* The quick fix I found is restarting/reloading them, but as the matter happens pretty often it became really annoying.
Please comment if you share this problem, or if you actually know of a solid solution to this problem, thanks.
Update: I grew tired of the glitches, so I ended uninstalling TaskbarXI.
I also updated Windows just in case, but fortunately I no longer have errors.
I may not have that fancy looking taskbar, but with everything else, I think it's good enough for me.
@@FrancoNSosa I didn't do the steps in this video but I've tried many others and I experienced the same. 3rd party programs stop working after some time idk why.

Before = minimal (8 icons plus the time)
After = cluttered (20 icons, a whole menu in writing, weather and the time twice)
Title should be "How to turn W11 into MacOS"
@Bzake No its not. At that point just remove it. Make it pop up from the bottom. Why would you want your program to be partially blocked, or 2/3s of wall paper to show? And its centered. Every time you add something to it, your muscle memory goes into the trash can. Everyone in the productive space loathes macs for a reason. They fucking suck.
@@Wylie288 ever heard of a little thing called having an opinion? 🤡
@@Wylie288 it is.
@Bzake I didn't comment on the looks, just the misuse of "minimal" in the title.
The taskbar looks nicer, but my preference would be for the bar to auto-hide/show because it is not symmetrical when you have a maximized window which doesn't touch the bottom of the screen because of a block instead of a toolbar.
if i use the taskbar xi my whole taskbar with windows logo and search go away. The same with running programs theire icons are gone to.

Nice tutorial. I recommed to everyone
just earned yourself a new subscriber your vid was lit
when i tried running taskbarXI i got runtime errors :( is it dependent on Rainmeter to run?
you need vc runtime x64 and x86 to be able to run it
i dont know why and how, but when i use TaskbarXI, i always see only two Icons on my taskbar (File Commander and Chrome). i cannot find any fix for it, i did everything as it was in video

Thanks SO MUCH! Ive been wanting to get rid of my wifi/battery, etc icons for so long and finally was able to remove it! Windows 11 doesn't allow you to do so.
Appreciate it mate.
TaskbarXI no longer works, FYI. Dev hasnt updated it since Jan 22
One thing is missing: It's amazing that the taskbar is just showing the running apps but it's completely senseless and not esthetic if it doesn't use the new space to enlarge screen size of the opened window.
Does anyone can help us? Thank you.
You can go into settings and set the taskbar to auto hide
@@uselessscreen I would like to see my taskbar on display everytime. How can i remove taskbarXI? I just hate the look. It's not in the "apps to remove" thing.

Same Issue: Taskbar XI in fact does not work.
can you not hide the taskbar with that mod on? it looks pretty bad when you have something open and it's just sitting there

To be very honest... I think it was looking way better by default. Windows 11 was made with a consistant design, and tweaking it breaks the whole idea to me.
well its not consistent per se... but i get where youre coming from and i agree.
Thx for the video, but how can I see the option to disconect an USB? Because the three points that are in the top with the rainmeter app doesn't works.
I selected color match in droptop but the taskbar doesn't change the colour according to the wallpaper colour, any way to fix that?
u mean from win11 to mac
It's amazing how modders can make Windows 10/11 look more visually stunning and more functional than Microsofts overpaid coders a d designers can make up.
microsoft coders make the operating system. everything he did in the video was using 3rd party software like JaxCore which im sure someone built with code.
Well as a counter argument, it's also made to run on a myriad of systems. Not everyone wants some resource intensive stuff running all the time, even if it looks real gorgeous. :) Just a retrospective thought, and besides the awesome UI overhaul over Windows 10 and the rounded design looks real awesome in comparison to the old Windows 10, gotta give the Microsoft programmers some credit. :D
dude if these "Coders" and "designers" you are referring didn't "make up" the back end codes and API's for these "Modders" to use... then non of these "Mods" would work right? They engineered the OS so it would be compatible to most PC's worldwide. Visually stunning? ehhh.... it's subjective... they all look bland. both before and after... (if I want my OS to look like a Mac, then I would buy a Mac)...
@@thetrickster9898 resourse intensive.
Reads the windows 11 minimum requirements, *DIES*
@@The-Creative-Hub Actually, it runs kind of same as Windows 10. Windows 10 can barely run with 2gb of ram. The requirements for Windows 10 are kind of outdated. With all the updates Windows 10 has gotten the requirements have increased while the physical requirements on the installer for checking have not increased in Windows 10. Windows 11 in reality is reskinned Windows 10 with missing features. Thankfully they are adding those features back at least now and most PCs by today age should have at least 8gb anyways, it doesn't cost that much. I can get ddr4 8gb for around 15-40$.
